The biggest cricket carnival on the planet, IPL 2022, will start in just over two weeks from now. With the addition of two new franchises, the level of competition in the cash-rich league is expected to get even more riveting.

Players who are not on their national duties have already started their preparations for the high-octane event. In the build-up to the event, the biggest excitement among the fans is about the outfits of two new franchises – Gujarat Titans (GT) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

Both the teams are yet to reveal their jersey officially but fans already know what colour the LSG players will be wearing, thanks to a video of Bollywood rapper Badshah.

The video which has gone viral on the internet shows the singer and rapper wearing a turquoise blue jersey with LSG logo on it.

The video, which by the looks of it seems like a theme song of the franchise, shows the famous singer lipsing a few lines as he marches towards the camera, with a huge crowd walking behind his back, creating a full festive atmosphere.

Talking about the jersey, the outfit has been designed keeping in mind the team’s logo and has a few orange and orange and green patterns around the shoulders and the sides.

The LSG fans who had been waiting for the jersey launch were not too pleased with the colour choice and the overall design. Disappointed with the leaked outfit, a user questioned the designer’s creativity and said that the design was similar to what the cast of famous TV show ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasma’ wore in their ‘Gokuldham Premier League’.

Owned by Sanjeev Goenka’s RPSG group, the Lucknow-based outfit is the most expensive franchise in IPL history. The owners had to shell out a whopping Rs 7,090 crores to win the rights for the team when the two new teams were auctioned by the BCCI last year.

Fans might have varied opinions about their jersey colour but one thing that nobody can reject is that the management has assembled a solid group of players in their squad.

With the presence of players like KL Rahul, Quinton de Kock, Jason Holder, Manish Pandey, Krunal Pandya, and others, the franchise is expected to make a mark in its inaugural season. And if the players manage to do that, everything else will be forgotten.
