In the last few years, Bollywood has lost several talented stars including Irrfan Khan, Sushant Singh Rajput, Rishi Kapoor, and Sridevi. Their sudden demise came as a shock to the whole nation.
For producers and directors, nothing can be more upsetting than recasting characters after an actor's untimely death. However, life must go on and everyone has to eventually move forward on the personal as well as professional front. Hence, the makers too have to knock on the doors of other actors in order to complete their impending films.
Below, let's take a look at the list of Bollywood actors who replaced other celebrities in films post their sudden demise.
'Sharmaji Namkeen' makers roped in Paresh Rawal post Rishi Kapoor's demise View this post on Instagram
Following Rishi Kapoor's unexpected death, Paresh Rawal stepped into the late actor's shoes to finish his film, Sharmaji Namkeen. Rawal was roped in by the makers to complete the remaining portions of the movie. Directed by debutant Hitesh Bhatia, Sharmaji Namkeen is a light-hearted coming-of-age story that is slated to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on March 31.
After a long fight with cancer, Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30, 2020. At the beginning of 2020, he shot the majority of Sharmaji Namkeen with Juhi Chawla. Paresh Rawal will only be seen in the portions shot after the death of the Amar Akbar Anthony star.
Madhuri Dixit replaced Sridevi in 'Kalank' View this post on Instagram
After Sridevi's shocking demise, Madhuri Dixit Nene had to fill in for the Hawa Hawai actress in Abhishek Varman's Kalank. Producer Karan Johar had initially planned the film with Sridevi. Janhvi Kapoor had even thanked Madhuri for taking up the role that initially belonged to her late mother. It would have been Sridevi's first film with Dharma Productions since Gumrah (1993).
For the unversed, the actress was found dead due to accidental drowning on February 24, 2018, in her hotel room in Dubai.
Raveena Tandon replaced Divya Bharti in 'Mohra' View this post on Instagram
At the peak of her career, 19-year-old Divya Bharti passed away under mysterious circumstances after falling from the balcony of her Mumbai apartment. Back then, she was shooting for multiple films, including Mohra alongside Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty. She had already shot for a few scenes, however, Raveena Tandon was called in to replace her in the film that turned out to be a huge hit in 1994.
Amitabh Bachchan will replace Rishi Kapoor in 'The Intern' remake View this post on Instagram
Rishi Kapoor was confirmed to star alongside Deepika Padukone in the Hindi remake of The Intern. However, his sudden death forced the makers to put the film on hold. Records went tumbling during the first Test between India and Sri Lanka in Mohali. It was a special game for not one but four Indian superstars – Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravinchandran Ashwin.
It was Rohit’s debut match as India’s Test skipper but the veteran off-spinner made it special through his performance as he became second most India bowler in Test cricket history.
    View this post on Instagram
The 35-year-old spin wizard toppled legendary all-rounder Kapil Dev to gain second spot on the list of India’s leading wicket-takers’ list in the game’s longest format.
It was a massive achievement for Ashwin and it was made even more special by the new captain Rohit Sharma, who was full of praise for the Chennai bowler at the virtual press conference after the opening Test of the two-match series.

    — CricTracker (@Cricketracker) March 8, 2022
Reflecting on the off-spinner’s impressive red-ball career, the 34-year-old leader said that he didn’t know about others but in eyes he was an “all-time great”.
    View this post on Instagram
During an interview with bcci.tv, the off-spinner was asked about how he felt when he heard him saying all those things about him.
    View this post on Instagram
Ashwin, a player who is otherwise never short of words, was simply overwhelmed by Rohit’s words. He couldn’t process how to react to such kind words.
By his own admission he is not good at receiving compliments and that’s why hearing Rohit say all those good things about him made him a bit emotional.
    View this post on Instagram
“I don't know what to tell Rohit. I am very bad at receiving compliments. I don't really know how to react. Sometimes I can get emotional but I cannot really coin those words when I am emotional. Rohit went out into the press conference and lavished praise on me and I didn't really know how to react until this morning . At the breakfast hall I said that was very sweet of him,” Ashwin said in the interview.
Speaking about Rohit’s maiden debut as Test skipper, Ashwin said apart from his technical capabilities, the thing about his leadership which impressed him the most was the “human element”. He gave the example of the way he looked after Jayant Yadav, who was having a bad day in the office.
    View this post on Instagram
“Rohit, we all know how tactically strong he is. I saw a lot of human element in the way he led the side. He's looking out for everyone in the team. How everyone is feeling and how everyone's confidence is important for the engine room to function,” he explained.
    View this post on Instagram
Having thrashed the opposition in the series opener, the Indian players would be looking to clinch the first red-ball sweep under Rohit’s leadership. Since the second Test is a day-night affair, the challenge would be different in Bengaluru as compared to Mohali.

Fardeen Khan is back in action, as per the recent reports, at least. Not that we’re too excited because if history is anything to go by, Fardeen Khan has had a thing with giving flops. Case in point - Fida, Dev, Khushi, and the one we’re dissecting today - Janasheen.
A movie that the star did with his father Feroz Khan, was probably one of the most pointless, chaotic and painfully long movies ever. But I’ll hope not to make its review painful, or long.
    © Goldmines Entertainment
Lucky Kapoor aka Fardeen Khan is shown as an over-energetic annoying kid who spends his time learning karate with his master who is played by Johnny Lever. Soon after we’re shown that Fardeen Khan is sent to Australia where he lives with his aunt Martha.

    © Goldmines Entertainment
It becomes pretty apparent that the emotional distance between Lucky’s father and Lucky is just as much there is between Australia and India. Lucky grows up to become a wannabe biker and his father grows up to be a tight-ass who won’t sell his property Angaar to Saba Karim(Feroz Khan) who is a fugitive from Afghanistan.

    © Goldmines Entertainment
Saba Karim’s personality was later reincarnated in the movie Welcome as RDX bhai, with the only exception being that in Janasheen, Feroz Khan was given an actual tiger as a pet.

    © Goldmines Entertainment
Coming back to the plot, Lucky’s dad refuses to give up his property, so Saba Karim gets him killed because apparently everything is fair in love, war and property dispute. Meanwhile, Lucky hears of this and is forced to come back to India, only to be confronted with a lot more than just the death of his father.

    © Goldmines Entertainment
He meets his childhood love interest Jessica, who is a half-blind violinist who would play only in a bikini or clothes as short as the attention span of people who watched the film. The irony comes in, when she turns out to be the only person to actually have seen Lucky’s father being killed by Saba Karim.

However, for the good of no one, she decided to keep it for herself.
    © Goldmines Entertainment
As the movie progresses, so do the stress lines on our forehead because what comes next, makes little sense and Celina Jaitley’s clothes in this movie. Turns out, the creep that Saba Karim is, has imprinted on Lucky because he looks strikingly similar to his dead son.

    © Goldmines Entertainment
Suddenly, Saba Karim manages to become his godfather, they forge a bond that doesn’t last too long because Jessica finally decides to come clean about him killing Lucky’s father. One might argue she did this to steal some semblance of a screen-time in the movie.

    © Goldmines Entertainment
What follows next is utter chaos.

Jessica is almost killed by Saba Karim’s hitman, Lucky fights off the bad guy, gives questionable CPR to Jessica to revive her and after all this, Saba Karim is still waiting for Lucky to join him in his chopper.
    © Goldmines Entertainment
Of course, he doesn’t and kills Saba Karim instead, because when did obsession ever give you a ‘happily ever after’?

    The End.

Hollywood star Robert Pattinson is one popular man right now after playing the role of Batman in the new Matt Reeves film.
The English actor is the newest in line to have a crack at the Batman role after Christian Bale, Ben Affleck, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Michael Keaton, and Adam West.
    © Warner Bros
According to the reception that he's getting worldwide, he's done a very decent job in the film that is clearly breaking box office records.

Now, while Robert is clearly a big name in Hollywood, did you know that the actor has an affinity towards Bollywood?
Yep! It looks to be the case.
Back in 2011, when the actor had been promoting The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1, he was asked to name his top 5 films he liked.
    © Reuters
According to a New Indian Express report, the Good Time actor had a Bollywood film in mind, and we totally agree with him.

    © Instagram/Shah Rukh Khan
Robert mentioned that it was a film that starred Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Can you guess?

The actor mentioned a few Hollywood films before revealing the name of the Hindi movie starring SRK and his most popular on-screen pairing, Kajol.
The movie was none other than the iconic Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge.
    © Prime Video
“Well, I have five movies in my top list which I really admire and love watching. ‘Notting Hill’, ‘50 First Dates‘, ‘Sweet November’ and ‘Ghost’. And I also really liked the Bollywood movie ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’. I love the sweet romance portrayed in the movie.” said Robert.

This is so refreshing to find out that Robert actually fancies Bollywood. Hopefully, in the future, we can see him act in the industry as well.
We already know that James Bond star Daniel Craig too is a fan of Bollywood films.
Recently, Robert recently revealed that he accidentally planted the seed with producer Dylan Clark for the role of Batman for the film.
“I think I accidentally planted the seed. I was meeting Dylan for something else and then… Actually, to be honest, I think I definitely was angling after it, but I didn’t know what the status of the project was. But I remember talking to Dylan for a long time then just right at the end, being, “So what’s happening with The Batman?” But it didn’t really fit into the kind of stuff I was doing then. But for some reason, with Batman… It’s literally the only comic character I’d ever do. It’s by far the coolest one. And I thought it was completely out of reach as well.” said Robert.
Fans have rave reviews about the movie, and hopefully, Robert keeps up the act of making it bigger in Hollywood.

Former comedian and satirist, Bhagwant Mann, is Punjab’s latest Chief Minister-elect.
His victory means that AAP has successfully managed to extend its presence outside Delhi, which seemed almost impossible till before the elections.
#WATCH | ...Bade Badal Sahib has lost, Sukhbir (Badal) has lost from Jalalabad, Capt has lost from Patiala, Sidhu & Majithia are also losing, Channi has lost on both the seats...says AAP's Bhagwant Mann in Sangrur as party sweeps Punjab pic.twitter.com/Wuuyq9G1qw
    — ANI (@ANI) March 10, 2022
Topical parallels can be drawn between Bhagwant Mann’s foray into politics and Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s rise to power and prominence, as both started out their lives in public life as comedians and political satirists.
Announcing their victory on Twitter, in typical fashion, AAP used sharp satire and memetic know-how to let Punjab’s decision be known.
In the comical video, the freshly elect political party superimposed faces from major political contenders onto the song Mast Kalandar from Heyy Babyy.
    © Bhagwant Mann
Characters bearing resemblance to Congress leaders Navjot Singh Sidhu and Charanjit Singh Channi can be seen quibbling over their attempts at wooing Vidya Balan i.e CM Seat (Don’t ask us, AAP made the meme!), all the while she strolls away from them with abject disinterest.

In certain sequences, one can also observe Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi’s tense face next to an expectant Arvind Kejriwal.
We told you so #AAPSweepsPunjab https://t.co/rEHbPvrRo9
    — AAP (@AamAadmiParty) March 10, 2022
With Vidya urff ‘CM Seat’ gazing longingly into the distance, emerges Bhagwant Mann, the Chief Minister-elect, surrounded by ‘The People Of Punjab’. Cue, celebrations all around with Kejriwal’s character breaking into impromptu bhangra.
You can always trust the AAP to bring their A-game when it comes to social media, and naturally, the people on the microblogging site had a lot to say in response to this declaration of victory.
Several users pointed out that AAP has cracked the code to make their announcements topical but also generously laden with humour. More than one user laughed along in the comments section of the video.
A particular user warned the Aam Aadmi Party to tread cautiously in Punjab, calling it a sensitive region, “बड़ी जिम्मेदारी को अच्छे से निर्वहन करें।  मुख्यमंत्री जी से खास गुजारिश और उम्मीद रहेगी कि sensitive इलाक़ा है पंजाब तो थोड़ा seriously handle करें । (Translation: Assume these big responsibilities with care. A special request to the Chief Minister to handle Punjab seriously as it is a sensitive area)
Finally, there was a user who found AAP’s style of announcing their victory a tad distasteful for their liking, saying “Not so encouraging video for people voted for you. Achha hota #AamAadmiParty and #BhagwantMann corruption-free Punjab ko preference de. #CorruptionfreePunjab should be your agenda number ”
Distasteful or not, Bhagwant Mann and the Aam Aadmi Party have proven that they’re not just capable of surprising victories, but also humorous banter.

Beauty, they say, comes in all shapes and sizes. And I’d like to believe that this adage extends to the idea of breasts as well, which too come in several forms.
We have pear-shaped, round, teardrop, asymmetrical and then there is of course a large, medium and small in all of these, giving men a multitude of options to pick from.
Not that men ever pick a woman based just on the size of their boobs, but in case they do, a study claims some hard-hitting facts that most men might not be ready to hear.
    © iStock
There is a lot that has been said, discussed and discovered about female breasts and a man’s obsession with them.

One of the most common tropes is - the bigger a woman’s breasts, the greater is a man’s interest in her. And considering that there have been plenty of studies where the attention a woman got was directly proportional to how big her bra size was, we can’t really turn a blind eye to the fact that there might just be a connection here, after all.
    © iStock
However, another connection that a study seems to have found is that between a man’s preference for big breasts and his oppressive beliefs.

Viren Swami and Martin J. Tovee, two researchers from the University of Westminster, London conducted a study with 361 men who viewed different figures of women that varied in breast sizes. Results showed that medium-breasts were rated most frequently as attractive (32.7 %), followed by large (24.4 %) and very large (19.1 %) breasts.
    © iStock
But it was what came next that surprised us more.

Turns out, men who went for bigger boobs had a direct correlation with the tendency of being benevolently sexist. These were the men, who were analyzed to objectify women, to be hostile towards them and hold oppressive beliefs towards them.
The study mentioned, “It is arguable that benevolently sexist men perceived larger female breasts as attractive because larger breast size on a woman is associated with perceived femininity."

    via GIPHY
Does that mean men who prefer big boobs are not nice men? Umm, we think not!
While there might be conjecture (and a single study) that claims there to be a connection in a man’s tendency to be sexist with how big a bra her woman would wear, not all men tend to base their attraction towards a woman based on their bust. Come on, not everyone is Barney Stinson.

    via GIPHY
Yes, it might be one of the factors, based on each guy’s preference and their social conditioning as to how they view femininity, a lot of men have gone on record to share that they make their choice based on the overall personality of a woman rather than just her boobs.
And while big breasted women get ogled way more than the ones who have small breasts, it is arguable that a man’s feelings are more complex and not all that linear.
In a way, men who like big boobs might not all be sexist, but most men who were found to hold sexist beliefs preferred big boobs.
    What do you think?

The internet can be an unnecessarily nasty place at times. Digital samaritans emboldened by their anonymity tend to lean into their mean streak, leaving behind crude and ugly comments intended at making the recipient of the anti-compliment feel worse about themselves.
Dealing with trolls is an art that celebrities definitely need to get a crash course or two on. The more seriously you take them, the more these faceless miscreants feel empowered to continue with their barrage of negativity.
    © Instagram/Tiger Shroff
One of the best ways to deal with irritating trolls is via comedy. A good sense of humour can subtly disengage and stun your digital nuisance. And that’s exactly what Tiger Shroff showed in his handling of trolls on his post.

Tiger is no stranger to trolling, having been shamed for everything from his looks, to his voice and his skills as well. While he may be one of the fittest action stars in Bollywood right now, his real-life personality is a lot more demure.
But perhaps what we didn’t know is that the boy is more than capable of laughing at himself, despite the barrage of insults he receives in his comments section on a day-to-day basis.

In this video from Arbaaz Khan’s talk show, Pinch, the host can be seen asking Tiger about the armada of silly comments that get thrown at him, sometimes even by well-meaning fans.
Arbaaz took one of the questions about Tiger’s virginity posited by the latter’s follower and requested the actor to clarify his status once and for all. To which, Shroff coyly replied, “Dekho mai Salman Bhai jaan ki tarah ek virgin hoon (I’m a virgin just like Salman bhai”, leaving the host, Arbaaz Khan in splits.
Now that’s a great way to make light of such intrusive questions.
Arbaaz Khan even pointed out that Tiger had even responded to the comment online by saying, “Abbey besharam mom and dad bhi follow kar rahe hain (Don’t be shameless, my mom and dad follow me too)”
While Tiger Shroff may have his critics for his performances in movies, he’s shown that he’s swiftly becoming a veteran in fending off trolls.
