We have often heard that certain actors charge the moon for their films. However, not all filmmakers can afford to pay the exorbitant fees that actors might demand.

From Shah Rukh Khan to Nawazuddin Siddiqui, we have had many actors lose out on projects because of their fees. We take a look at some of these actors, who were offered some really good films, which they lost because of their financial decisions.

Surely, after the release of these films, these actors must have taken a good hard look at the choices they made.

    1. Nawazuddin Siddiqui © Instagram/nawazuddin._siddiqui
Nawazuddin was supposed to take up the role of Anu Kapoor in Jolly LLB 2. However, the actor was adamant about charging Rs 3.5 Crores for the film, and as per some reports, a very small fraction of the profits as well. The makers of the film were not really keen on this and decided to go with Anu Kapoor.

    2. Shah Rukh Khan  © Instagram/iamsrk
Apparently, Shah Rukh Khan was offered to play one of the male leads in Padmaavat. Several reports claim it was the role of Alauddin Khalji. However, the actor asked Rs 90 Crores for the film. Sanjay Leela Bhansali had to drop the idea of casting him, as his fees would severely skew the budget of the film.

    3. Kareena Kapoor © Instagram/kareenakapoorkhan
Kareena Kapoor was offered the role of Naina in Karan Johar’s Kal Ho Na Ho. However, reports say that she was asking for twice what she would normally charge at that time. Therefore, Karan decided to sign Preity Zinta.

    4. Sonakshi Sinha © Instagram/aslisona
Sonakshi Sinha was supposed to be cast opposite Salman Khan in Kick. However, the fees demanded by her were exorbitant for the producers. Both the parties negotiated for some time, but eventually, it broke down when news surfaced that Deepika Padukone had been roped in, which turned out to be false. Finally, Jacqueline Fernandez was signed for the film.

    5. Madhuri Dixit Nene © Instagram/madhuridixitnene
Madhuri Dixit Nene was inundated with offers after she made her comeback with Aaja Nachle, even before the film was released. Madhuri quoted Rs 5 Crores for each of these films. However, several producers were not comfortable in paying her that much, especially after the release of Aaja Nachle. Because of this, she lost out on a number of projects.

    6. Sridevi © Eros International
Imagine Sridevi in Baahubali, as Queen Sivagami. Well, she was offered the role, and everyone, starting from the producers to the directors were very keen on signing her for the film. However, she was adamant about the Rs 6 Crores that she was charging as her fees. The filmmakers couldn’t afford to pay her that much and eventually went with Ramya Krishnan.

Sonu Nigam has found himself in the middle of yet another controversy. Reports recently claimed that the singer had received some derogatory texts from BMC chief Iqbal Singh Chahal's cousin Rajender. As per news, they both had connected over Sonu performing at a concert.

After a lot of buzz on the singer receiving threatening messages, Rajender has issued a statement clearing the air. "The difference emerged between Mr Sonu Nigam and Mr Rajender Singh, as Mr Singh resisted working with one person referred to as Rocky and Mr Rehan Siddiqui recommended by Mr Nigam to perform at a concert overseas. Mr Rakesh Kaushal (alias Rocky) and Mr Rehan Siddiqui have been banned by the Ministry of State for Home Affairs, Govt of India," the statement reads.

"The duo have been known for malpractices and supporting Pakistan-based terror groups as reported earlier in media. They are blacklisted based on recommendations of the Consulate General of India. It is against the ethics of Mr. Rajender Singh Pahl to work with Anti-Nationals. He will not work with anti-nationals even if they agree to work for free," the statement further claimed. Also it was denied that he was a cousin of BMC chief, and that they only belonged to the same village.

The statement further had more questions from Rajender Singh Pahl’s side to Sonu Nigam, "Why does he insist that Mr. Rajender Singh Pahl work with those who are banned by The Government of India? Why does he want to work with Anti-national who fund and work with Pakistani terror groups? Does he have commercial ties and links with them?" adding that the ED or the IT department should investigate the money trail of 'terror funding leading to Mr Nigam.'
Ever since the statement has gone viral, fans are boycotting the singer on social media.

Shahid and Kareena’s relationship was one of the most talked about relationships in Bollywood and when they broke up during the shoot of Jab We Met, their fans were surprised and shocked in equal measure.

During the shoot of Fida which also starred Fardeen Khan, there were rumours of the two lead actors, Fardeen and Shahid not getting along too well. As per reports, Shahid wasn’t too comfortable with the steamy scenes between beau Kareena and Fardeen.

In an interview, Fardeen later cleared the air and explained what had happened.
'Shahid and I don't get along. But it wasn't a big fight. Yes, it's true, we aren't the best of friends. I had heard that he was bitching about me. He is quite immature. He had a few issues and I told him to stop talking about me," Fardeen said.

"Kareena and I are strictly friends. By virtue of spending time together, the degree of trust and comfort is higher. But there is nothing more to it," he added. During KWK Shahid also explained his side. "I personally don't have any issues with him. And if he had any issues he could have called up and spoken about it but he chose to talk about it in the print so what else do I say."

Well, the movie was a commercial flop even though Fardeen’s chemistry with Kareena and the music of the film was memorable.

The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will begin on March 26 while the final will be played on May 29.
Owing to the coronavirus pandemic, the BCCI has decided to limit all 70 league matches to only four venues – Wankhede Stadium, Brabourne Stadium, DY Patil Stadium and MCA Stadium – in Maharashtra due to their close proximity to each other.
NEWS: Key decisions taken in IPL Governing Council meeting regarding #TATAIPL 2022 Season.

Tournament to commence on March 26, 2022. Final on May 29, 2022.

league matches to be played across venues in Mumbai & Pune. Playoff venues to be decided later.

    Details
    — IndianPremierLeague (@IPL) February 25, 2022
Ahead of this year’s tournament, two new franchises Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans became a part of the world’s biggest T20 extravaganza. Despite the addition of two new outfits,  the number of matches will still remain the same as last year.
While the official schedule is yet to be announced, the BCCI has already laid down the framework on how to complete the league phase without increasing the number of encounters.
    © Twitter/IPL
Till last year, all eight IPL teams used to play twice against each other, at the end of which the top four teams used to qualify to the playoffs. With the arrival of two news teams, that won’t be possible this year.

Hence, it has been decided that each team will play twice against five oppositions and once against the remaining four sides.
Five Teams In Two Groups © Iplt20.com
To facilitate this, the 10 teams will be divided into a virtual group of five sides each. The basis of this division is their past performances. The maximum weightage has been given to the number of IPL trophies in the cabinet, followed by the number of final appearances.

Based on which Mumbai Indians (5 titles in 6 finals) take the top position. They are followed by Chennai Super Kings (4 titles in 9 finals), Kolkata Knight Riders (2 titles in 3 finals), SunRisers Hyderabad (1 title in 2 finals), and Rajasthan Royals (1 title in 1 final).
    © Twitter/RCB
Royal Challengers Bangalore (0 trophy in 3 finals), Delhi Capitals (0 trophy in 1 final) and Punjab Kings (0 trophy in 1 final) and followed by two new teams Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans.

    © Iplt20.com
Based on the above ranking, the even teams have been placed in one group while the odd teams have been grouped together in the other group. MI, KKR, RR, DC and LSG are pooled together, while CSK, SRH, RCB, PBKS, and GT have been grouped together.

Now coming to their matches, all teams will play twice against their group members and also the team in the same row in the opposite group. All the remaining four sides; they will face only once.
    © Twitter/IPL
Take for example MI and CSK, the top-ranked sides in the opposite groups. Apart from playing two matches against their respective group members, they will also face each other twice.

How will teams qualify for playoffs? © IPL
As stated above, this is only a virtual division just to bring clarity to the scheduling of league matches. Other than that, it basically is of no use. There won’t be two different sets of points tables for each group.

All the 10 teams will be pooled together in a single points table and the top four teams after 14 league matches will make it to the playoffs.
No Home Advantage © Twitter/Mumbai Indians
Apart from Mumbai Indians, no other team will have the home advantage this year. Of their 14 league matches, all teams will play four matches each at the Wankhede Stadium and the DY Patil Stadium.

While the remaining six matches will be divided equally among the Brabourne Stadium and the MCA International Stadium in Pune.
What About Playoffs?Naya season, naya format, but wo hi excitement! #TataIPL2022 will have a new league structure and we just CAN'T WAIT to get started! #OneFamily #MumbaiIndians pic.twitter.com/LvaJgqK18L
    — Mumbai Indians (@mipaltan) February 25, 2022
The venue for the playoffs will be announced at a later date. For now all we know is that the summit clash will be played on May 29.
