India defeated the West Indies by six wickets in Kolkata to go 1-0 up in the three-match T20I series on Wednesday.
While it was the debutant Ravi Bishnoi and captain Rohit Sharma who stole the show with their performances, Virat Kohli too caught the attention of fans but not for his batting or fielding.
Kohli is someone who wears his heart on his sleeve whenever he steps foot on the field. Whether he is the designated captain or not, Kohli's commitment towards the team never goes down.

Kohli, who was seen helping out Rohit Sharma while taking DRS during the ongoing West Indies tour of India, once again lent a hand to the new India skipper as the team was wondering whether to challenge an on-field LBW call against Roston Chase.

Kohli told Rohit that the ball had missed the bat and hit his guard. However, a video went viral on social media in which netizens speculated that Kohli, who has used cuss words on the field in the past, was once again using foul language on the field.
Kohli fans were quick to school those who accused the former India captain of using cuss words close to the stump mic.
He definitely said "guard le lagi", virat kohli bola toh matlab kuch offensive hi bola hoga na

    — Atul (@scorpionAtul) February 17, 2022Abey gadhe! "Guard" bola usne
    — Vikas Periwal (@PeriwalVK) February 17, 2022Its ‘guard’ u dumb
    — dhanesh shastri (@dhaneshshastri) February 17, 2022Kohli had faced a lot of flak recently after he let his emotions get the better of him in the third Test in South Africa last month.
Denied a wicket after the hosts challenged the on-field call against Dean Elgar, Kohli and a few members of the team went up to the stump mic and had accused the host broadcasters of tampering with technology to benefit the home team.
While the ICC did not take any legal action against Kohli and others, the then India captain stood down as the skipper in the longest format of the game, a day after the Test match was over.
As Virat Kohli steps down as Team India’s Test Captain, the Board of Control for Cricket in India congratulates him on an outstanding career as #TeamIndia’s Test Captain.

Since moving on from the role of the captain, Kohli has toned down his aggression on the field.
The former India captain is still a popular figure in the dressing room and it was evident when Deepak Hooda made his debut in the 50-over format. The all-rounder after receiving his India cap from Kohli penned an emotional note for the ex-captain.

We’re always told that life works in mysterious ways, one day it can make you the king of the jungle and the very next moment, its prey. Things are always uncertain and tragedy can strike at any moment.
Just like it did with Reena Rai, when her boyfriend and famous Punjabi actor, Deep Sidhu passed away in a road accident.
The incident took place on 15th February when both Reena Rai and Deep Sidhu were travelling to Bathinda in a car when they met with an accident.
His car hit a truck on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal expressway near Kharkhoda in Haryana's Sonipat district. Due to the airbags, Reena survived, and Deep was immediately rushed to the hospital, but sadly, was declared dead.

In a day, their entire life turned upside-down and Reena Rai also wrote a gut-wrenching piece on social media, expressing her remorse.

And at the same time, as people reminisced about the late actor and activists work, they came across several posts where Deep Sidhu had etched his heart’s feelings for his girlfriend, Reena.

In an old post, Deep Sidhu credited Reena Rai for always standing by his side, even when no one else did.
He wrote, “You stood by when the whole world was against, protected me, held my respect, gave me strength, prayed for my cause and freedom but what truly has touched my heart and soul when you paused your life for me, you being there means a lot for me, your love and support is beyond any description, you are beyond my words and I truly feel blessed to have soul like you in my life, I just wanna say I love you.”

Posting the same picture on her Instagram after Deep’s untimely and unfortunate demise, Reena wrote (in a now deleted post), “I’m broken I’m dead inside please come back to your soulmate which you promised me that you won’t leave me in any lifetime I love you my Jaan my soul boy you are my heartbeat. As I was lying in the hospital bed today I heard you come whisper I love my Jaan I know you are forever with me.we were planning our future together and now you are gone. Soulmates don’t leave each other and I’ll see you on the other side Jaan #Truesoulmates (sic).”

Meanwhile, the industry as well as the fans are stunned to hear of Deep Sidhu’s death. They have been sharing their condolences for the late actor and messages for Reena by dropping comments like, ‘Stay strong!! so sorry for your loss.’

Talking about the film, Kapil said in a statement, "I am very excited about this project, not because I am doing a film, but because I am doing Nandita Das film, whom I have seen both as an actor and a director. She has a very distinct and deep way of looking at things and a keen eye for detailing. So my job as an actor is to just do what she tells me. Her work is very different from mine, and I am happy that the audience will get to see a new side of me".
For the unversed, Nandita has earlier directed films like Firaaq (2008) and Manto (2018). Her upcoming film with Kapil is set in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, and will go on the floors later this month.
