    Want to hit the gym?

    Ummmm…..
No matter how strong willed you are, a question like this is always followed up by a long pause.
Why can’t we say yes straight away? The answer is simple. There’s a lot to consider.
Is your gym wear out of laundry? Will your crush be there? Will your gym buddies be there? Will you be back in time for your friend’s party?
Well, if your life is as busy as the rest of us, making time for going to the gym is harder than it seems. More so, the lockdown got us thinking if going to the gym is really that necessary.
After all, you can always work out at home or outdoors. Be it saving time or experimenting with different types of exercises, home workouts are extremely convenient, especially if you have a busy lifestyle.
What’s even better is that you can easily get personalized training right at home and at affordable prices.
The only catch here is setting up a functional home gym.
You need not worry because we are here to help you out. Here are seven types of beginner-friendly and affordable gym equipment you can start with.
    1. Skipping Rope We need not mention how important it is to include cardio in your workouts. While exercises like running and cycling are fun, if you don’t enjoy them, there’s no point trying to stick to it. Try a jump rope instead. From creating intense drills to just increasing your daily cardio activity, jump ropes are very useful in home workouts.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__3058__
    2. Exercise Mat Another essential for your home gym, an exercise mat is useful for bodyweight training, HIIT sessions, yoga as well as stretching. This basic equipment is a must for beginners and regulars alike.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__3059__
    3. Gym Ball If weight training intimidates you, you can always start with a gym ball. It provides enough resistance to get you sweating and helps in building core strength. There are multiple gym ball workouts you can indulge in at home, be it for strength and flexibility or balance and posture correction.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2118__
    4. Kettlebell Weight training workouts don’t always require heavy duty gym equipment. You can weight train just as effectively using a kettlebell. Kettlebell workouts help in boosting endurance and core strength. In fact, they can also take your cardiovascular training up a notch by adding resistance.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__3060__
    5. Resistance BandsResistance bands are extremely convenient to carry around and you can never make excuses with equipment this handy. You can add resistance to your exercises with bands, ranging from light to heavy. Using resistance bands, you can work on your strength as well as flexibility.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1700__
    6. Activity Tracker You don’t have to worry about burning enough calories when your trainer is watching you at the gym. Home workouts are different, especially if you’re working out without supervision. This is where an activity tracker can help you keep a track of your workouts and keep you motivated to burn those calories.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1683__
    7. Dumbbells As and when you grow on your fitness journey, you need to level up the resistance. This is why every fitness enthusiast must have a set of dumbbells at home. They help in making your workouts more dynamic and are essential if building strength is your goal.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__3061__
The Bottomline There’s no room to make any excuses when your gym is literally your living room. Start small by adding some of these equipment to your home gym and you’re sure to feel motivated to live a healthier life.
Now that you have your basics covered, get started with your fitness journey.

23-year-old Ishan Kishan just played the sixth T20I match of his career when he kitted up against the West Indies squad at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
However, that did not stop him from receiving a massive amount of hate on social media, after he recorded the slowest innings played by an Indian in the history of the shortest format of the game while facing a minimum of 40 balls.
Ishan Kishan's 35(42) is the slowest knock by an Indian in T20i's facing a minimum of 40 balls.
    — Heisenberg (@internetumpire) February 16, 2022
Despite the fact that Rohit Sharma’s side won the match rather comfortably with six wickets in hand and seven deliveries left for the Indian batters to waste, Twitter was buzzing with Men in Blue fans who were calling out Kishan for the slow pace at which he played as the opener.
Obviously, a lot of this hate originates from the fact that Kishan ended up becoming the most expensive buy at the IPL 2022 mega auction when Mumbai Indians put Rs. 15.25 crore on the table to bring him back to the roster after not being able to retain him a couple of months ago.

    — Cricbuzz (@cricbuzz) February 12, 2022
However, a lot of comparisons between him and KL Rahul were also being made online.
Both are top-order batters, known for their devastating batting and famous for playing high-scoring innings for the team in a hurry whenever they are required to.
The only differentiating factor that played any major role, on the other hand, was the sizable difference in the time the two athletes have put in while playing for their country.
While Rahul made his T20I debut back in 2016, Kishan broke into the senior team only in 2021. While Rahul has played a total of 52 innings in 56 T20I matches, Kishan has played just six.
So, is the comparison between the two practical and sound? Indian cricket fans seem to have a split opinion on it.
No disrespect to Ishan but imagine if it was KL Rahul playing on 22*(24). Cricket Twitter would have gone crazy.
    — Aditya Saha (@Adityakrsaha) February 16, 2022Kl is established player,kishan isn't
    — Shreeh (@ShreehAsh42) February 16, 2022It's just Ishan's 6th T20I innings
    — Lucky (@LBerojya) February 16, 2022Kl had 46 ball 100 in his 4th t20 while chasing 246 and coming to bat at the end of power play
    — deathSTROKE (@UpAndOverAndSix) February 16, 2022Kl Rahul is the one who changed our t20I style but people judge him based on 2 months ipl
    — Hamza Azhar (@HamzaAz15360355) February 16, 2022No disrespect but KL debuted in 2016 and has played 56 matches while Kishan has played only 6 and debuted last year only. I think we can cut some slack to both since one has come of age(arguably) and the other is just starting it out. https://t.co/sOJojLldKb
    — MG Gandhi (@Anamakaha) February 17, 2022Rahul was unable to make it into the 15-man squad for the T20I series after picking up a hamstring injury during the three-match ODI series that recently concluded at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. As a result, Kishan got the opportunity to return to the Playing XI and show why he was worth Rs. 15.25 crore.

Ever since her resurgence with 2019 hit Bala, Yami Gautam’s career is reaching new heights with each passing film.
With A Thursday, which is a spiritual sequel to the 2008 cult hit A Wednesday, the actress has delivered a top act yet again.
The film follows a similar format as A Wednesday, where a pre-school teacher (Yami Gautam) takes 16 students hostage and makes three demands to cops (Atul Kulkarni & Neha Dhupia). If her demands are not met, she will kill one kid every hour.
    © Disney+ Hotstar
Director Behzad Khambata, who made his directorial debut with the 2019 film Blank starring Sunny Deol and Karan Kapadia, improves manifolds in his second film when compared to his first.

He impresses the second time around with a screenplay that engages throughout and the performances that are all stellar.
However, it is the writing that suffers majorly. For a thriller, the film is as predictable as it gets and the thrills are missing.
Right from scene one, you know as an audience what exactly is going to happen and the narrative rarely surprises in that aspect.
At 2 hours and 10 minutes, the film required better editing. Perhaps, a shorter length would’ve made it pacier and maybe thrilling as well.
    © Disney+ Hotstar
There are also a couple of subplots involving Atul Kulkarni and Neha Dhupia’s equation and also Maya Sarao’s character as a journalist’s that fail to work at all and are inconsequential to the main storyline.

Having said that, the film still makes for a decent watch due to its performances and intriguing climax.
Even though the ending is a bit far fetched, in the overall scheme of things, it works.
Coming to the performances, Yami Gautam shines. This is the first time that she was roped in for a film that stood solely on her shoulders and she nailed it.
    © Disney+ Hotstar
Atul Kulkarni is terrific as usual in a character that has a range of shades & emotions. Neha Dhupia plays a character that is similar to the one she played in last year’s Sanak and gives a good performance.

Karanvir Sharma is first-rate as Yami’s fiance. There was scope for him to go overboard with his performance but he pulled it off with elan.
Maya Sarao is wasted in a half-baked role. Adi Irani returns to mainstream films after a hiatus and is passable. Kalyanee Mulay doesn’t get much scope to perform.
Dimple Kapadia as the Prime Minister of India is quite good.
    © Disney+ Hotstar
Overall, A Thursday isn’t even close to the brilliance of A Wednesday but still makes for an engaging and gripping watch. You can give this one a try.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 auction is done and dusted and players shifted their focus back to international cricket on Wednesday.
Indian stars who earned big bucks in the auction, put in a fine show in Kolkata as India defeated the West Indies in the T20I series opener at the Eden Gardens.
Meanwhile, former India captain Sunil Gavaskar has criticised the players for not committing as much as they should when the IPL is around the corner to avoid any injuries just before the lucrative league that fetches them big money.
"That can also lead to some to not try as hard for their country, especially when the IPL is round the corner."

What do you make of Gavaskar's comments? pic.twitter.com/v9uzc6dZqR
    — Wisden (@WisdenCricket) February 16, 2022
"The auction is a life-changing one for all the players as it opens doors to a secure future for them and their families. That can also lead to some to not try as hard when playing for their country, especially when the IPL is around the corner, so to speak," Gavaskar wrote in his column for Times of India.
"This is to ensure that there is no injury that will prevent them from being fit for the IPL and missing out on the security that an IPL contract guarantees. So the diving and sliding, or the hard throws from the deep, are not attempted for fear of doing some damage that will mean withdrawal from the IPL," the batting great added.

    — Aman shrivastava (@im___Aman) February 16, 2022
However, Gavaskar's views were proved wrong immediately after the auction as Indian players put their bodies on the line to save runs and dived around to take difficult chances with captain Rohit Sharma leading from the front with a fine diving catch to finish off the West Indies innings.
Fans too were disappointed to hear such views from a cricketing legend who has played the game at the highest level and is a renowned voice in the commentary box.
Maybe he is little jealous that he can't play the IPL
    — Gladiator (@johnsmithMA) February 16, 2022Gavaskar has lost his mind
    — Cricket with saga (@serotonin345) February 16, 2022You can speculate anything. Its garbage unless there is any evidence
    — SV (@swamiji75) February 16, 2022Don’t remember Sunny doing a lot of diving and sliding tbh.
    — Ginger Magician (@MagicianGinger) February 16, 2022This great man once said jo maza ipl ma ha world cup ma kahan ha
    — hassan (@Babar50065128) February 16, 2022Such comments on IPL coming from a player with the stature of Gavaskar seems weird as he was the one who said IPL is even bigger than the T20 World Cup last year.
“Our IPL is the best domestic tournament in the world. There's nothing bigger than the IPL. Even the World Cups look insipid in front of it. A lot of people would say they are not enjoying the World Cup much. People have been saying since the beginning that the charisma of IPL or such local T20 leagues has been missing from the T20 World Cup,” Gavaskar had said.

Ever since Rohit Sharma has assumed the full-time leadership of India’s white-ball team, his record with the Decision Review System (DRS) has been simply outstanding.
    View this post on Instagram
He has got more decisions right than he has wrong.
Legendary batter Sunil Gavaskar was so impressed with his DRS calls during the first ODI against the West Indies that he likened the 34-year-old’s DRS success with that of former skipper MS Dhoni and suggested that the reviews could be called “Rohit system” given his incredible success rate.
    Let's Play!

    — BCCI (@BCCI) February 16, 2022
“When Dhoni was there I used to call it the Dhoni Referral System. And I mentioned it in the commentary that you can now definitely call it the Rohit system because he is getting it absolutely right so far," Gavaskar had said while on air during the first ODI last week.
Rohit’s DRS success rate is not down to himself. Every time he wasn’t too sure of what to do, he turned to his teammates, especially his predecessor, Virat Kohli, and acted as per their advice.
    © Twitter/BCCI
In the opening ODI, there was an instance when Rohit valued Kohli’s advice over others and challenged the on-field decision despite wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant’s constant reluctance.

Back then, Kohli had received huge praise on social media for helping the skipper make the right decision, and rightly so.
    © Twitter/BCCI
But you can’t be right all the time. Kohli and Team India realised this during the opening encounter of the three-match T20I series against the Windies.

In the eight over of the innings, debutant Ravi Bishnoi bowled a googly that went down the leg side and Indian players were sure that it had hit the bat on its way to the keeper’s gloves. But the on-field umpire didn’t concur and turned down their huge appeal for caught-behind.
    © Twitter/BCCI
Now, it was time for Rohit to decide if he wanted to challenge the umpire’s decision or not. He and Kohli were involved in an interesting chatter in the middle with the clock ticking fast.

Here’s how the whole conversation unfolded:
    pic.twitter.com/zUFGUyYiYb
    — Maqbool (@im_maqbool) February 16, 2022
“Bat aur pad dono laga hai (the ball has nicked both bat and pad),” Kohli can be heard saying in the stump mic.
“Ye wide kidhar de raha hai yaar (then why is he giving wide),” replied an animated Rohit, after the on-field umpire turned down the appeal and outstretched his arms to signal a wide.
“Do aawaj aaya hai (there were two sounds),” Kohli insisted.
“Do review hai na? (we have two reviews, right?),” Rohit enquired.
“Main bol raha hu le, do aawaj aaya hai (I am saying go for it, there were two sounds),” said Kohli while pushing Rohit to go for the DRS.
    © Twitter/BCCI
Both the players were convinced there was a definite nick off the bat but the umpire’s wide signal put a doubt in his mind. However, the Delhi-born somehow managed to convince Rohit yet again and he signalled for the DRS with only a couple of seconds left on the timer.

The replay showed that the ball had kissed the batter’s pad on its way to the keeper and there was no bat involved but still India kept their review.
    © Twitter/BCCI
After Rohit signalled to take the DRS, the umpire turned him down saying that he was anyway going upstairs to check the stumping call and the TV umpire will check all the possible modes of dismissals, including the caught-behind.

    pic.twitter.com/PrqBkawOlh
    — Maqbool (@im_maqbool) February 16, 2022Kohli’s confidence would have cost India the DRS had the umpire not come to their rescue.
The thing with DRS is no matter how hard you try, you can’t be correct all the time. It doesn’t matter if you are Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma.

In today’s day and age when social media has become extremely toxic, not every day does it happen that grown men unanimously compliment someone and not a single person gets offended or goes against the stream.

However, cricket pundit and commentator, Charu Sharma has managed to unite mankind (well, at least the Indian cricket fans) into crushing over his voice as teenagers behave at a Harry Styles concert.
    via GIPHY
On Wednesday evening, Sharma shared a message from his official Twitter handle thanking everyone for appreciating his professionalism during the IPL 2022 mega auction when he was called in by the broadcasters to conduct the event when the original auctioneer, Hugh Edmeades collapsed because of low blood pressure.
A presenter by passion and profession, Sharma thanked the fans, a few members of the Board of Control for Cricket in India and certain executives at StarSports for thinking of him and giving him the opportunity to be the host of the show.

    — Charu Sharma (@Charuonsports) February 16, 2022 “Hello friends, I should have sent this message out at least a couple of days earlier. But as some of you know, at least the last few days have been rather dramatic with my having to step in and conduct the Tata IPL mega auction as a substitute. Well, that story is by now out in some detail,” Sharma said on Twitter.
“This message is all about expressing my deepest gratitude to all of you and many others (who are) not on Twitter, who took the trouble to send in your appreciation. I maybe an old warhorse, but I have been overwhelmed with this large wave, this flood of positivity and respect,” he added.

    — Charu Sharma (@Charuonsports) February 1, 2022 The post was shared in an audio version and seemed to do the trick, making people who came across his message, melt on the spot simply by listening to his voice.
Unafraid of paying compliments to another man, the Twitter-verse came up with some of the most innovative and creative ways to appreciate Sharma:

Maybe it could lead to an opportunity for him to return to the commentary box and headline major cricket matches and tournaments in the future.
However, he also clarified that if nothing of the sort materialises in the future and his stint as the IPL auctioneer ends as a one-off event, it would not demotivate him and only give him the boost to look toward other exciting things that may be waiting for him around the corner.

He gained notoriety at the 2003 ICC Cricket World Cup when he joined up with renowned actress Mandira Bedi to host pre-, mid-, and post-match talks.
Sharma formerly served as an administrator in the IPL. In the inaugural season of the event, he was chosen CEO of the Royal Challengers Bangalore. However, he was compelled to resign, according to sources, due to the team's poor performance.
Sharma was supposed to have departed on his own at the time, but he later contradicted this, saying that he was sacked by Vijay Mallya, the team's owner at the time.

Bollywood actress Kajol, who was last seen in the Netflix film Tribhanga, has purchased two new apartments in the Ananya Building in Mumbai's Juhu.
Months ago, her husband Ajay Devgn too had bought a swanky new bungalow in Juhu for a whopping amount of Rs 60 crore.

According to Squarefeetindia, the Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge star has bought the two flats on the 10th floor of the Ananya building.

Reportedly, the combined cost of the flats is more than most of our yearly incomes. Yes, you read that right! Kajol has bought the two properties at a combined cost of Rs 11.95 crore.

Talking about Ajay Devgn's bungalow, the superstar bought the property last year which is spread across 590 sq yards. The deal was finalised in November 2020 and the bungalow was transferred in the name of Veena Virendra Devgan, Ajay's mother, in May 2021.

Sharma then went on to say something that led to an even bigger wave of support from among his followers that has left the Indian cricket board and the broadcasters in a very unique situation.
Sharma said that he has no idea where would this support take him in his professional career, maybe a return to cricket commentary?
“Now, I don't know whether the support is going to pull me back into presenting, commentating at major cricket events. If it does, I'm ready, as always, and if it doesn't, so be it,” Sharma said.

When Edmeades slumped on the floor, the audience in the auction room was in full shock. He was rushed to the hospital and was believed to be in good condition. As a precaution, it was decided to rest the Englishman and bring Sharma onboard after the lunch break.
Fans who were watching the programme on television or online were blown away by Sharma's professionalism as he supervised the first day of the event and oversaw the flow of the auction without any prior preparation.
Sharma earned a standing ovation as he announced the conclusion of the first day to all 10 IPL clubs in the room, as well as the staff members, administrators, and medical practitioners who were representing the India Premier League as an organisation.

If there’s one thing we’ve learnt in the last two years (apart from perfecting banana bread & dalgona coffee), it is that home is where the heart is, where true joy resides.
Quite naturally, several neglected corners of our casas received more attention than ever, and we gave ‘good housekeeping’ an all new meaning.
Some of us even turned to Instagram to get some inspiration from celebrity homes! And if inspiration is what you’re looking for, we’ll 10/10 recommend the original home decor web series “Asian Paints Where The Heart Is”.
The series deep dives into celeb homes, makes us virtually lounge on their couches and gives us all the design inspiration we need.
From season 1 to season 4, we’ve been privy to gorgeous homes of celebrities like Mini Mathur, Anita Dongre, Boman Irani, John Abraham, Rajkummar Rao, Zoya Akhtar, and the list goes on!
Why We’re Looking Forward To Season 5“Where The Heart Is” season 5 has finally hit the web and the episodes pack all shades of ‘happy homes’. This season aims to bring the real, lived-in, warm spaces of celebrity homes in the spotlight. It’s almost like an up-close and personal rendezvous with our favourite celebs - minus the red carpet and paparazzi.
As someone who has closely followed all the seasons, I can say that season 5 delves deeper into the celebrity’s home and the décor stories that reside in it. The show doesn’t limit itself to just the architecture of the home - but brings out the cute little stories behind the artefacts, the celebrity’s concept of family, togetherness and what home means to them.
The Hot New List Of Celeb Homes! The first episode went live on the 31st of January with none other than 90s Bollywood superstar and heartthrob Suniel Shetty. The earthy tones, high ceilings, unfiltered natural light and green corners make his massive (yet humble!) abode totally enviable.

The second episode explores Guru Randhawa’s bold, proud and colourful abode. It’s a true testament to how far he’s come in his life, and can be seen sharing inspirational anecdotes throughout the episode.

Thereafter, we enter Bollywood heartthrob Abhay Deol’s otherworldly abode. Nestled in the middle of the forest, this massive glass house brings the flora indoors and wows us with its high ceilings.

Lastly, we step into Remo  & Lizelle D’souza’s sprawling Mumbai apartment. Right from flipping furniture to swapping rooms in the house - they share some cool hacks to sprucing up our interiors.

The legacy of Asian Paints ‘Where The Heart Is’ is that this show makes the viewer discover new aspects of ‘decor’. Be it through a simple colourful wall, unique collectibles, or through curated décor elements, the show has brought to life over 30 gorgeous homes - bringing us closer to our favourite celebs!
