Delhi Capitals' latest recruit Yash Dhull, India's Under-19 World Cup-winning captain, continued his purple patch as he brought up a fine century on his first-class debut against Tamil Nadu in the ongoing Ranji Trophy match.Β
The youngster looked at ease in the middle and despite losing early wickets from the other end, he kept playing his shots and raced to the three-figure mark.Β
Batting on 97, Dhull had played the ball straight into the hands of short mid-wicket but luck was on his side and it turned out to be a no-ball as the bowler had overstepped.Β

As soon as Dhull reached the landmark, Indian cricket fans flooded Twitter with congratulatory messages for the 19-year-old and termed him as the next big thing in Indian cricket.Β
Apart from sharing the tag of winning the Under-19 World Cup title with Virat Kohli, Yash Dhull's shots and his wrist work to manoeuvre the ball to find gaps on the field were very similar to former India captain.

β€” ryuzaki (@shash_pushinP) February 17, 2022Dhull must be on cloud nine at the moment. He led India to the Under-19 World Cup title recently and then bagged an IPL contract with his state's franchise Delhi Capitals.Β
A few days after the auction, the Delhi Ranji team showed faith in him by picking him to open the innings in his maiden first-class game and he repaid the faith by bailing the team out of danger with a majestic ton.Β
Well played, Yash Dhull. What an Innings, What an Hundred on his Debut Match. pic.twitter.com/lPkWTSPCa5
    β€” CricketMAN2 (@ImTanujSingh) February 17, 2022
Delhi was reeling at seven for two but Dhull put together partnerships with Nitish Rana and Jonty Sidhu to take the team out of trouble and in the process started his first-class career with a bang.Β
There is still a lot of time to judge the youngster but early signs are surely suggesting that he is indeed the next big thing in Indian cricket.

India’s white-ball skipper Rohit SharmaΒ has often been mocked for his apparently fragile fitness. But the Mumbai-born has time and again shut all his critics down through his sheer brilliance in the field.Β

The latest example of his outstanding athleticism was seen during the first T20I between India and the West Indies in Kolkata. Apart from impressing through his smart bowling changes and field placements, Rohit also led by example in the field.Β

    β€” AbdullaNTR (@AbdullaNtr) February 17, 2022
The 34-year-old pulled off a sensational catch to dismiss Odean Smith on the final ball of the visitors’ innings. The Indian captain’s acrobatic effort helped Indian cap off the West Indies innings at 157/7 in 20 overs.Β

With it being the final ball of their innings, Smith wanted to make it count but couldn’t generate enough power due to the drop in pace. All he could do was loft it towards the vacant mid-off region.Β
Rohit Sharma takes an excellent catch while running behind

Rohit, who was fielding in the extra-cover region, covered a fair bit of distance, running sideways, and completed the catch, timing his dive to perfection.Β

It was a great sight to watch, not just for the spectators but also for Suryakumar Yadav who charged in from the long-off fence but held his run back at the last moment to avoid the collision.Β
The expression on his face was enough to tell how difficult of a grab that was and how easy the Indian captain made it look.Β

Fans were in awe of Rohit’s agility that allowed him to cover a decent amount of distance in a short amount of time.

Some of his supporters took the opportunity to troll his haters who never left any chance to make fun of his injuries.Β

β€” Camlin Oil Pastels (@CamlinTweets) February 16, 2022Haters crying in the corner now
β€” Rohitmania45 (@Rohitmania451) February 16, 2022Β Besides his captaincy and fielding, the opener also led from the front as India overhauled the West Indies of 158 runs with six wickets left in the bank and seven balls to spare.Β
Rohit’s knock was studded with a total of seven boundaries including three hits over the fence, as he clobbered 40 off just 19 balls. His carnage at the top of the order allowed other Indian batters to take their time in the middle and without hurrying too much.Β
    #TeamIndia seal a 6-wicket win @Paytm #INDvWI pic.twitter.com/AoDdAjA2Lh
    β€” BCCI (@BCCI) February 16, 2022
The Men In Blue lost their momentum mid-way through their innings but their skipper’s knock ensured that there was no scoreboard pressure on them.Β

Just because Rohit doesn’t fit into your notion of fitness, doesn’t mean you can call him unfit or mock his fitness. It's plain stupid. It’s about time that people realise fitness is much more than just having six-pack abs.Β

If they don’t, we are sure Rohit will keep reminding them by pulling off incredible catches like these.

While interacting with media in Delhi, Kangana called Karan Johar her 'best friend' and added that she wants to lock him up in jail. That sounds confusing, right?Β
Well, she was just talking about the jail in her upcoming reality show Lock Upp.Β
For the unversed, the Tanu Weds Manu star is all set to turn host with the controversial reality show which will stream 24X7 on Ekta Kapoor's ALTBalaji and MX Player from February 27 for free.

The show will see several well-known names as contestants who will fight it out to survive in the jail and go through dramatic situations as well as interesting tasks.Β
Recently, while promoting her show in Delhi, Kangana was asked who she would like to lock up in her jail. Replying quickly to the question, she said, "I would like to lock up my best friend Karan Johar ji in my jail and host him there. Along with him, I would even like to put Ekta Kapoor".Β

After listening to Kangana, Ekta joked, "Me and Karan will talk about food and will invite you inside to join us".Β
The actress further added the names of Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan in her wish list and shared, "I am a great admirer of Mr Aamir Khan, so I would like him also to be in my lock up. And I also love Mr Bachchan. Of course I can give the auditions. They are not the contestants but my wish list".Β
Well, her wish list sounds interesting! We wonder how Karan would react to Kangana calling him her best friend.
On the Bollywood front, Kangana was last seen in Thalaivi. Currently, she has films like Dhaakad, Tejas, and Alaukik Desai's Sita: The Incarnation in her kitty.Β
