A few weeks back, Bollywood star Sonam Kapoor’s husband Anand Ahuja took to Twitter to complain about the “horrible experience” he had while dealing with an international shipping company.
He tweeted, “Does anyone know someone at @MyUS_Shopaholic - I’ve been having HORRIBLE experience recently. They are holding items improperly, rejecting formal paperwork & refusing to acknowledge any reasoning.”
Sonam shared the tweet and wrote, “Terrible customer service is shameful”.

    — Sonam K Ahuja (@sonamakapoor) January 27, 2022
Responding to Anand’s complaint, the company accused him of tax fraud and claimed that he provided fake bills.
The official Twitter account of the shipping company wrote, “This is not a matter of customer service quality, new policies, or holding items improperly as was tweeted. Mr. Ahuja misrepresented the price he paid for sneakers purchased on eBay which would result in him paying less duties and taxes.”
They followed it up with, “The doctored invoices list prices that were up to 90% less than what he paid for the goods. While our policy is to do our best to rectify any customer issues, we have a duty to uphold regulatory compliance.”
And further added, “Put very simply, we have a legal obligation to provide accurate information when sending international shipments. Both MyUS and Mr. Ahuja are subject to international export rules, and we intend to follow them.”

    — MyUS.com (@MyUS_Shopaholic) February 1, 2022A few days later, responding to the tax fraud allegations, Anand wrote, “You should watch your baseless slandering- you were the ones that refused to validate PDF receipts & bank statements just so you could overcharge me and hold my goods longer to earn late fees.”
He further tweeted, “Anyways now have moved all items and closed my account. Gooooood riddance!”

Reacting to Anand’s tweet of calling the allegations “baseless slandering”, one user replied, “Sue them if it was "baseless slander"?”
Another wondered why it took him 11 days to respond to the allegations. The tweet read, “11 days you took to reply to charges of duty evasion. People are smart enough to understand that one had to hire experts for above script writing. Ahuja sue them they have tarnished your image to tax evader, Matlab Chor.”
One tweet read, “OMG first Mr Ahuja tries to ch€at the govt by paying lesser taxes and then he tries to use his wife's PR to target an online brand. All the wealth in the world cant rid some ppl of the greed”.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), the most expensive franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL) history, spent money like water during the two-day IPL 2022 mega auction in Bengaluru. The Lucknow-based franchise was the only team out of all 10 who were left with zero cash in their purse after the conclusion of the two-day auction.
Led by former India opening batter Gautam Gambhir, who was appointed as the mentor of Lucknow Super Giants, at the auction table, Lucknow went shopping for all-rounders and they got plenty of them in their squad.
The likes of Marcus Stoinis and Jason Holder will be supported by Indian all-rounders like Deepak Hooda and Krunal Pandya.

    — Lucknow Super Giants (@LucknowIPL) February 13, 2022
When LSG placed a bid for both Hooda and Krunal, fans were sceptical about how the duo would be on the same page considering the bad blood between the two.
Krunal was the captain of Baroda when Hooda opted out of the team during a domestic tournament, citing ill-treatment from the 30-year-old.

Defending the franchise's decision to pick both Hooda and Krunal in their team despite their differences, Gambhir said both players are professional and given the right environment, any conflict in the world can be sorted.
"You don't need to be best friends to perform, you need to be better professionals to perform. In my career, not everyone was my best friend. When I captained the side for seven years, it was not like I was close to everyone. But those three hours as a combined group what result we could deliver for the franchise is what matters as a professional. Krunal Pandya is a professional, Deepak Hooda is a professional, if you deliver for the team with your bat or ball, that is what matters in the end. There's no conflict in the world that can't be sorted. If you give them the right environment, the right space, I am sure they'll deliver for the franchise," Gambhir said during an interaction on Sports Tak.
After listening to Gambhir's explanation, fans reminded the former Kolkata Knight Riders captain to look in the mirror before making such remarks.
Gambhir should look into mirror and should say that to himself....

    — laddu (@cskitcell) February 15, 2022 Gambhir will help head coach Andy Flower and captain KL Rahul as the Lucknow-based franchise look to start off their IPL journey with a bang.
Looking at the squad that Lucknow has managed to build in the auction, they look like contenders for the title in their debut season.

In order to make a film successful, right casting plays an important role. However, at times, the makers get it all wrong which affects the final product. While the fusion of right casting and a strong storyline makes a movie memorable, there have been times when makers received heavy criticism and trolling for wrong casting choices. Not just in Bollywood, this happens in Hollywood as well.
From Hrithik Roshan in Super 30 to Priyanka Chopra Jonas in Mary Kom, let's take a look at the list of casting choices in Bollywood films that received heavy criticism from moviegoers.
Anushka Sharma in Chakda Xpress View this post on Instagram
Last month, the Jab Tak Hai Jaan star announced her acting comeback with Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami's biopic titled Chakda Express. Produced by Anushka herself, the film marks her return after a gap of around four years post the release of Zero in 2018. After its announcement, a section of people wasn't happy with the actress' casting as Jhulan, a Bengali cricketer, who was the captain of the India national women's cricket team. Apart from Anushka's darkened skin tone, her Bengali accent too got mixed reviews.
Hrithik Roshan in Super 30 View this post on Instagram
Vikas Bahl's Super 30, which was released in 2019, told the story of well-known mathematics teacher and educator Anand Kumar. Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan played the lead role in the biopic which did well at the box office. However, people questioned the actor's casting as Anand Kumar who hails from Bihar. His performance got criticism from critics as well as the audience who thought that a brown-skinned actor with a perfect Bihari accent should have been cast instead of Hrithik.
Priyanka Chopra in Mary Kom View this post on Instagram
PeeCee, who was last seen in Keanu Reeves' The Matrix Resurrections, played the titular role of boxer Mary Kom in her biopic. Helmed by Omung Kumar, the film was released in 2014 and turned out to be a hit. While Priyanka gave her best to the role, the makers were criticised for not casting a Northeastern actor in the role of Mary Kom, who was born in the Churachandpur district of Manipur. Last month, after around eight years of the film's release, the actress finally reacted to the backlash and admitted that someone from the Northeast should have played the role. She said, "I was just greedy as an actor to get a chance to tell her story because as a woman, she inspired me so much".
Bhumi Pednekar in BalaSo Bala is about a man who suffers from hair loss, who is played by Ayushman, and a dark skinned girl who gets mocked because of that. However, instead of maybe hiring a real dark skinned actress they just cast Bhumi and further darken her face. Ironic, to say the least 🤦🏻‍♀️ pic.twitter.com/IH9ImpPbyq
    — lost soul (@theClaiire) October 10, 2019
Co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam, the 2019 hit had Bhumi playing the role of a studious and dark-complexioned girl named Latika. For the role, her face was painted bronze and the actress was criticised for changing her natural skin tone. Justifying herself for playing a dark-skinned character in Bala, she had said, "I am not a conventional heroine myself. Times are changing. Cinema is celebrating womanhood. I did Bala because of exactly that. There is not a moment when we are making fun of someone’s colour. This girl is, in fact, empowering other girls. She breaks every sort of societal norm or stigma attached to skin tone in India".

It’s the season of LOVE! And love has many different interpretations, doesn’t it!
And one of them is definitely about celebrating yourself - with a good dose of me-time and giving some time to your passions – at least, that’s what B-town hunk, Harshvarrdhan Kapoor is planning to do this Valentine’s Day.
Talking about passions, we caught Harshvarrdhan rediscovering an old love, unboxing some old memories and finding joy in the little big things that keep him happy.
But what makes him happy? The answer is simple – Manchester United Football Club.
To celebrate what he loves, Harshvarrdhan got himself the ultimate Valentine’s Day gift – a LEGO Old Trafford Stadium Set that got him nostalgic and excited all at once.
As he sat down to unbox his Valentine’s Day gift, he couldn’t help but reminiscence the iconic Ferguson era that made him fall in love with football. Remembering the early days of Beckham, Giggs, Ronaldo and Scholes, Harshvarrdhan looked over the LEGO set and got to building what he loves!

Isn’t this what real self-love looks like?
The pure joy of building the LEGO Old Trafford Stadium was a therapeutic& stressbusting experience for Harshvardhan and we feel like he enjoyed every second of it.
As you see the LEGO Old Trafford Stadium come into place – with the curiously exact Old Trafford roof, the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson stand, the iconic StretfordEnd or the Holy Trinity mini statue – you could truly feel yourself transported to the Theatre of Dreams. And the joy of building it, seemed to be evident in Harshvardhan’s smile!

Ever since the IPL auction got over, the fans of all 10 franchises are busy analysing the squads their favourite teams have managed to assemble for the upcoming mega event.
The one team that has been making maximum headlines is the defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK). However, the problem is they are not hogging the limelight for their brilliant signings at the mega auction but for a couple of controversial decisions they took while sitting in the auction hall.
    © Twitter/IPL
It’s due to these unpopular decisions that the franchise, which is arguably the most popular outfit in the whole league, has started facing objections from its own fanbase.

Earlier, it was IPL veteran Suresh Raina’s exclusion that led to a massive protest on social media and turned the fans against the franchise.

The debate over Raina’s snubbing is still going on but the franchise has already found itself embroiled in a fresh controversy. It’s the signing of Sri Lankan fast bowler Maheesh Theekshana that has given rise to a strong digital protest, with fans using hashtags like #Boycott_ChennaiSuperKings.

Unlike Raina’s protest which was purely out of fandom, the reason behind Theekshana’s objection has a lot to do with the region's politics. The Sri Lanka pacer is a corporal in the Sri Lanka army and that is why the locals are so vociferous in calling for the team’s boycott unless they cave in to their demand and remove him from their roster.

The Sri Lankan army has been accused of committing mass atrocities and killing thousands of Elam Tamils during the Civil War.
The people of Chennai have always objected to the presence of Sri Lanka players in their team, especially those who belong to the Sinhala community – the biggest ethnic group in the Island nation.
Not only does Theekshana belong to the Sinhala ethnic group, he is a part of the Sri Lankan army and that’s why people are protesting against his inclusion.
Around 20 lakh Tamil people are thrown out as refugees by Sinhala state Terrorism!

    No Justice yet,

    — விக்னேசு சந்திரசேகர் (@Vigneshcviky) February 14, 2022 This was not the first time a Sri Lankan player's presence in the CSK squad caused a huge controversy. Back in 2013, the Tamil Nadu government had banned all IPL matches involving Sri Lankan cricketers.
In 2013, ExCM.Jayalalitha asked PM that Tamilnadu will permit IPL matches only if organisers promise that no Sri Lankan players, umpires, officials or support staff will participate.

    ஏ1 ஆ இருந்தாலும் இந்த விசயத்தில் ஆண்மையுள்ள பெண்??.. #Boycott_ChennaiSuperKings pic.twitter.com/ThgmtkC7QX
    — T-Bag (@Theodore_Bag_T) February 14, 2022 In her letter to the IPL Governing Council, she had explained the reasons behind her action. “The Government of Tamil Nadu will permit IPL matches to be held in Tamil Nadu, only if the organizers provide an undertaking that no Sri Lankan players, umpires, officials or support staff would participate in these matches,” she had written in the letter.
    © Twitter/IPL
Neither CSK nor the Tamil Nadu government has responded to the controversy yet. With the IPL 2022 likely to be played in Maharashtra, it would be interesting to see if the four-time champions cave in to the public pressure or about their business, ignoring their demands.
