Virat Kohli is playing his first ODI series ever since he was stripped as the captain of the squad in white-ball cricket.
Based on the videos and images that are coming out of the Men in Blue’s social media campaign, the former skipper seems extremely relaxed and is finally, having fun.
However, his fans suggest that all these things are no more than a facade and that deep within his heart, Kohli is saddened and disappointed by the way he has been treated by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) with regards to taking away his leadership in the 50-over format.

In the second ODI of the series against South Africa, after Kohli got dismissed for a duck and walked back to the dressing room, he could be seen sitting alongside Shikhar Dhawan and dancing with a smile on his face while the 24-year old Rishabh Pant was dealing in fours and sixes during his 85-run knock.
But people who think they really know the legendary cricketer felt he was simply hiding his sorrow behind funny dance moves when, in fact, he was really hurt by the fact that he was no longer the Indian captain.
Even though he is laughing and dancing outside. We can easily see resentment in face the way BCCI treated him.

    — Kabir (@arjun_dixit_kk) January 21, 2022While Kohli kept his fans and Dhawan entertained with his dance moves in South Africa, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly tried his best to clear himself of all the allegations he faced planning to present Kohli with a show-cause notice. Ganguly simply denied the reports and said that he had absolutely no intention of questioning Kohli about why he said whatever he did before travelling to South Africa.
The reports were related to the Delhi-born’s controversial press conference wherein he had directly contracted Ganguly’s comments about worrying about Kohli’s plans of resigning as the T20I captain.
Talking about the ongoing series, Kohli’s duck did absolutely nothing towards helping his side try and even out the series. The Protea batters looked absolutely dominating while chasing down the 287-run total that the Men in Blue had set up in the first half of the game.
Following Janneman Malan’s 91 and Quinton de Kock’s 78-run innings, the middle-order duo of Aiden Markram and Rassie van der Dussen drove their side to victory with 11 balls to spare.
With this win, the South Africans have also taken away the ODI series following a 2-1 victory they got in the longest format of the game earlier this month.
