Remember the time when Govinda would be the national heartthrob and his songs would dominate our playlists, almost all able channels and our minds? From giving us hits like Raja Babu to still staying relevant with movies like Partner, Govinda clearly was the OG of Bollywood.
So much so that there was a time when the actor had all of 70 films at a time! Not one, not two, not three but seventy films that he had signed after just spending one year in Bollywood.
The actor made his debut back in 1986 with the movie Love 86 which was a superhit at the box office. From then, there was no looking back for the actor, for he starred in more than 40 films in the next four years. However, the actor had revealed that even though he was able to do 40 films, he had initially signed on 70 films.
In the old interview of the veteran actor, Govinda has shared that there was indeed truth to the rumors of him having signed so many films after just his first film in 1986. He said, “I had 70 films,” all the while clarifying that at one point of time he had as many as 70 in the pipeline.

He went on to say, “Later on, 8-10 closed themselves, or maybe 5-6 did. Then 4-5 films I had to leave because of dates and scheduling,” as he explained why not all of them were able to work out. Talking about how it made him feel to taste success so early on in his career, Govinda said, “It’s not an achievement. It just happens. I know that often it’s just someone’s time.”
Talking about why he took on so many projects, Govinda revealed, “The first release was Love 86 where I did romantic comedy and dance. In Ilzaam, my role was emotional. Then, Pyaar Karke Dekho released recently and it had buffoonery type of loud comedy. Next is Sindoor with Neelam, which is a total social film with a family subject.”

The recently retired cricketer, Harbhajan Singh has made a bold prediction about the ongoing Test series between the touring Indian side and the hosting South African side after both the teams won one match apiece and the series decider set to take place in Cape Town in a couple of days.
The off-spinner has expressed his opinion that the current South African roster lacks the capabilities of defeating the Men in Blue two times in a row and has therefore suggested that for the hosts to win the series at home is highly unlikely.
"I don't think this South African team has the ability to beat India 2-1 there. I hope Team India will rock there in Cape Town." - Harbhajan Singh
— CricketMAN2 (@man4_cricket) January 9, 2022
While Bhajji’s words suggest that he has a lot of faith and confidence in Virat Kohli and his boys, the fans of the team had labeled him as “India ka Michael Vaughan” out of the fear of jinxing the team - something Vaughan has been infamous for doing to his own English roster in the past.
Pls Harbhajan ... Did same thing in Ind vs Pak match
— Cricket Lover (@Loyal_Cricket) January 9, 2022You did same thing about Pakistan team too.. Aur tmhy moo ke khani pare the..
— Salar Abbasi (@SalarAbbasi10) January 9, 2022Ind ka Michael Vaughan spotted
— Rushikesh (@Rushike26050170) January 9, 2022India’s Michael Vaughan
You said that during t20 wc and you saying it now
Just be quiet Lolbhajan
— Ayush (@4yooshX) January 9, 2022Congrats sa for winning the series.
— AJAY (@R_Ajay08) January 9, 2022Ahead of the second Test of the series at the Wanderers cricket ground, former Indian pacer, Ashish Nehra had also said something along the same lines when he expressed seeing a “big gap” between India and South Africa, suggesting that it would be a cakewalk for the tourists to dominate the Proteas at home.
And sure enough, it took SA skipper Dean Elgar and his squad only four out of five days to chase India’s total twice and tie the series at 1-1.

Singh’s predictions have failed to come true in the recent past when he had said that he can’t see the Pakistani squad beating India during their T20 World Cup 2021 clash during the league stage. Back then, before the match had taken place, Bhajji had tried getting under Shoaib Akhtar's skin when he asked the pacer to simply give Team India the walkover instead of being humiliated in the middle of thousands of fans in the UAE.
However, the exact opposite happened during the actual match as India ended up on the losing side, completely dominated and humbled by the opposing team’s skipper Babar Azam and opening batter Mohammed Rizwan, who chased down India’s 151-run total in 17.5 overs without losing a single wicket in the process.
If Team India does manage to win the third and final Test of the series, this would be for the first time in history that the Men in Blue will have booked the red-ball series on the home turf of the Proteas.

Cheteshwar Pujara has found himself in the middle of a public outcry as the fans and some analysts demand his ouster from the Playing XI ahead of the third Test between India and South Africa in Cape Town due to inconsistency and lack of good innings coming from his bat, with the exception of the second inning of the second Test.
Considered to be a specialist of red-ball cricket, the fact that Pujara has not been able to hold his ground or score big runs while consuming a lot of deliveries, have led to a big stain on the batter’s reputation and with every single day, more and more criticism seems to be coming his way.
View this post on Instagram
It is only human nature to feel the pressure, the nerve-wracking burden on your shoulders to perform well, especially when the entire world is against you and looking for one tiny opportunity to point a finger at your mistakes. As a result, competitors end up doing worse than where they already were when they had first started out. That’s a drawback of being an international cricketer in India.
Nonetheless, Pujara seems to have earned some brownie points with the former captain of the Men in Blue, Sunil Gavaskar, who called him a “blessing” and advocated his presence in the Indian dressing room, especially because of the calm demeanor he has championed over the years.
View this post on Instagram
“It is a great, great blessing to have players of this temperament in your dressing room. (It may not be) necessarily just on the field but it’s a huge plus and I think having somebody with Cheteshwar Puajra’s temperament in the changing room must be absolutely terrific,” Gavaskar on SuperSport.
Gavaskar also compared him to the South African batting legend Hasim Amla while talking about how both the batters managed to neutralize the difficulties and variations that different bowlers try to put on the batters and also because of the varied pitches.
View this post on Instagram
“When I look at him (Pujara), he reminds me of Hashim. Watching Hashim bat, you know there’s a sense of calm that everything is under control. The ball could be doing things but there was that sense because even on pitches where the ball was turning, the way Hashim was batting in India, it was almost as if, ‘look, nothing’s happening’, and that’s the same thing with Cheteshwar Pujara,” he said.
While Pujara’s primary role is that to play some good knocks, build a strong total for his country and ensure not giving up his wicket way too early, Gavaskar feels that the veteran has also taken up the responsibility of acting as the anchor of the team who manages to bind everyone together and hold things down on the ship despite disturbances and massive tidal waves coming their way.
View this post on Instagram
“In international cricket, there are several moments of tension where people would want to do this or that or the other. When you have somebody who’s going to think about it calmly and give you a measured opinion it makes a big difference,” Gavaskar said in addition to complimenting the batter.
And even though Gavaskar’s words of support may instill a lot of confidence in Pujara, the fact that third match in Cape Town could be a series decider, his chances of being dropped from the Playing XI are high and the same is the case with the former vice-captain of the Test squad, Ajinkya Rahane.

At the cost of sounding faint-hearted and a coward, I will admit that while most people enjoyed the movie Bhool Bhulaiya for the comedic thriller that it was, it ended up giving me sleepless nights, all thanks to the character of Monjulika who was all too scary for me.
And now, as the second installment of the hit movie is set to hit the screens, fans wonder if they will once again be meeting Vidya Balan’s one of most challenging and well portrayed characters of Monjulika, the vengeful ghost of the royal dancer or was that story put to an end in the previous movie, once and and for all. Seems like Annes Bazmee might just have the answer.
#VidyaBalan to return as Monjulika in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, confirms director Anees Bazmee#BhoolBhulaiyaa2 #KartikAaryan #KiaraAdvani https://t.co/cfIojaNCMk
— Pinkvilla (@pinkvilla) January 9, 2022
As per a report in the Mid Day, a source confirmed, “Their (Vidya and Anees) equation goes back to 2011, when Vidya made a cameo appearance in Anees’s film Thank You. She made the character of Monjulika, ghost of a royal dancer, memorable. [It is not clear if] Vidya will be seen dancing to Aami je tomar again or appear after the climax."

Further to this, director Annes Bazmee has also gone ahead and called Monjulika his "favourite character". He also went on to say, “If the film is Bhool Bhulaiyaa, she has to be there in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Let the rest be a surprise!”
Bhool Bhulaiya 2 would be essayed by Kiara Advani and Kartik Aaryan and is likely to hit the screens by 25 March 2022. Tabu will also be seen playing an important lead role in the film. The comedy thriller will be a sequel to the 2006 hit release and is being produced by Bhushan Kumar.

Meanwhile, fans are also wondering if Vidya’s Monjulika would be a part of the sequel, does that also mean that Akshay Kumar would make an appearance too? Guess we’d have to wait to find out!
