We wanted a fresh start this year.

    Did we get it? No.
Did we get a fresh variant? Yes.
Unless you’re living under a rock, you probably know what we’re referring to - the Omicron variant.
The variant is said to give only mild symptoms but several studies are still being conducted for more conclusive findings. Even though the effects of the virus aren’t that severe, it is spreading faster and is highly transmissible.
This means that taking precautions is still a top priority. We need to make sure we are well stocked with sanitizers, disinfectants and above all, have the best face masks for safety.
Here’s all that you need to know about buying the right face mask and keeping safe during the third wave.
Do You Need Double Masks? Since the Omicron variant is more transmissible than the Delta variant, the experts are recommending the use of masks, regardless of whether you’ve been vaccinated or not. This also means that ditching your single layer cloth masks or surgical masks is a safer option.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1596__
Double masking became popular during the second wave to reduce the transmission and this holds true for this variant as well. More layers will offer more protection.
The Best Face Mask For Covid-19 Even after years of being into this pandemic, finding a comfortable mask is still a challenge. A good face mask should be soft, breathable, have multiple layers and should also be reusable and eco friendly.
Is it possible for one face mask to check all these boxes?
    Yes, it is.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2970__
Here’s why these face masks should be your first choice:
    1. 6-Layered Protection Wearing two masks is anything but comfortable. Even during the winter months, there’s excessive sweating, which causes acne and breathing problems.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2971__
This six-layered mask will not only offer comfort but also double-protection. It comes with a three ply, detachable filter sheet, a softer inner layer and a double-layered outer covering for maximum efficacy against the virus.
    2. Washable & Reusable The filter sheets used in the mask are washable up to 30 times, which means the masks can be used up to 30 washes. You can also replace the sheets and increase the life of the mask.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2972__
    3. Adjustable Nosepin It becomes even harder to wear a mask when your mask just doesn’t fit properly. In fact, the abrupt fit can cause your mask to slip downwards without you realising it. A nosepin helps in providing a snug fit and keeps it in place for the entire day.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2973__
    4. Pre-Sanitized Outer Layer The outermost layers of the mask have been pre-sanitized and disinfected for direct use. You can start using the face mask as soon as you receive it, without worrying about washing it first.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2974__
    5. Extra Filter Sheets The mask comes with two extra filtration sheets, which are washable up to 30 times. These sheets can be replaced after 30 washes. In other words, one mask can be used for up to 90 washes.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2975__
Mask Up & Stay Safe We know the year didn’t exactly start the way we planned it, but we also cannot fight the virus by ditching our masks.
Even if you’re fully vaccinated, wearing masks and avoiding huge gatherings is the only way of staying safe this year. The new variant is still under study and until we know more, continue taking precautions and stay safe.

A lot has been written and talked about the infamous affair of Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai back in the late ‘90s and early ‘00s.
During the course of their controversial relationship, Salman and Aishwarya starred in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 1999 hit, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.
Later, Salman made a cameo appearance in Aishwarya starrer 2000 dud Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke.
Similarly, Aishwarya made a guest appearance in Salman’s 2002 film Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam starring Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit in the lead roles.

It is often believed that Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam was the last time Salman and Aishwarya were seen together on the big screen. However, a lesser-known fact is that the two also featured in a brief scene in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas.

The magnum opus starred Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit in the lead roles. But, did you know Salman Khan also featured in a scene in the film?
According to Anupama Chopra’s book King of Bollywood: Shah Rukh Khan and the Seductive World of Indian Cinema, a biography on SRK, there is a scene in the film where Aishwarya’s character Paro steps on a thorn and Devdas played by Shah Rukh has to remove it.
    © Eros International
During the shooting of the scene, Salman was on set and volunteered to do the scene instead of Shah Rukh and the scene was shot with Salman’s hand in the final cut instead of SRK’s.

Writing about the chain of events with Salman and Aishwarya’s relationship as the backdrop, Anupama wrote in her book, “During the making (of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam), she (Aishwarya) had fallen in love with her co-star, Salman Khan. For two years, Aishwarya and Salman had conducted a tempestuous affair in a fishbowl (there were rumours of parental disapproval, physical abuse, intimidation), and by the time Devdas was shot the relationship had disintegrated into an unpleasant, incoherent mess. Salman had become a real-life Devdas, simultaneously self-destructing and attempting to salvage his romance. He was as much a part of the Devdas shoot as the crew.”
She further added, “Salman would spend nights lying intoxicated on the floor of Aishwarya’s trailer. One night, Shah Rukh and Aishwarya were doing a romantic scene that required Shah Rukh to extricate a thorn from her foot. Salman was on the set, and he volunteered to demonstrate how this should be done. Shah Rukh agreed and as Salman did the shot, Sanjay rolled the cameras. It was a poignant moment: a spent, tragic lover enacting his own life for film. Aishwarya cried. It was the last time the two were captured on film together.”
The shot was apparently a part of the More Piya song sequence. Take a look at the screenshot below:

As for Devdas, the film was released to positive reviews and turned out to be a major box office hit.

Anushka Sharma has come a long way since entering Bollywood. I mean, you'd really have to take the phrase- 'Sky's The Limit' too literally for her career graph.

Ever since making her debut, not only has Anushka gone on to be a part of some memorable Bollywood films, but she's also become a producer and is now married to Indian skipper Virat Kohli.
    View this post on Instagram
The two literally had a dream wedding not so many years back in the sweet, scenic view of Italy, with the grand wedding being one of the most talked-about things that year.
Not just that, she also has a daughter with Virat and the two are having the time of their life, enjoying all the riches that come with being a power couple.
But, what if I told you that all this was almost not possible.
Yep! According to reports, Anushka, who made her debut with Rab Ne Bana De Jodi opposite Shah Rukh Khan in 2008, was almost stopped from making her dream debut.
    © YRF
And as things go, it was Bollywood director Karan Johar, who tried stopping her from doing that.

    © Instagram/Karan Johar
As reported by ABP Live, Karan, while speaking to film critic Rajeev Masand in an old interview, said that he tried convincing Yash Raj Films head Aditya Chopra to not cast Anushka for Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.

“I tried really hard. I told Aditya Chopra not to cast her. He showed me pics of Anushka Sharma and all and I was like ‘Are you mad? What are you thinking? During Rab Ne also… she was sitting as a Dulhan and that was her first shot and my mother was feeling bad…”
“She (my mother) came and told me ‘This poor girl seems lost’. And I was thinking ‘Oh god, I will have to be nice to her and poor thing she doesn’t know there is no career left after this.”
He added, “I was shocked Adi wanted to cast her. I used to stare at her thinking what did Adi see in her. But when I saw the film, she was okay.” said Karan.
However, Karan, who later even worked with Anushka in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in 2016, revealed what changed his mind about her.
“What blew my mind was Band Baaja Baarat.” said Karan.
Well, we're kind of glad Anushka ended up getting the part and doing so well in her career later.
Anuska is now going to star in her upcoming film Chakda Xpress.

For anyone who watches Hollywood movies, it is a well-known fact that actor Tom Cruise stands as one of the busiest and most commercially successful actors in the industry.

Known for putting his heart, soul, blood, and tears into his movies, Tom is one who has gained millions of fans across the world just for doing what he does.

Whether it is doing death-defying stunts in movies or taking acting scenes to a whole new level, Tom always takes things up a notch to ensure that his fans get the best movie experience.

He is a global superstar for his role in the Mission Impossible series as well as for his role in Top Gun, with the second movie coming this year.
Now, for all his hard work and commercial success, he is also one person who's faced controversies throughout his career.
One such incident was revealed by one of his co-actors.
Hollywood actor Curtis Armstrong, who worked in the Supernatural TV series and a whole lot of other Hollywood movies, once worked with Tom in the 1983 teen *** comedy film Risky Business.

Directed by Paul Brickman, Risky Business was a movie revolving around a teenager who ran a brothel at home when his parents left for a holiday.

Now, revealing an incident, Armstrong, who played the role of Miles Dalby in the film, said that he once caught Tom getting blowj*bs from three to four young girls.

Describing the incident in an excerpt from one of his books, shared with The Hollywood Reporter, Curtis said, “I would ask him at the end of the day if he would like to join us at the bar for a drink. “No,” I recall him saying, ‘Got an early call tomorrow. Got to work out still, study my lines. And then I like to read the Bible a little before bed.’”
Curtis then revealed what happened when he returned home one early day.
“I found three or four young girls — late teens, I suspect — lined up in the hall outside of Tom’s room,” wrote Curtis.
It was reported that Curtis even went on to the extent of asking the women if he could help them in any way, but did not get any response.
“They just stared at me, and at that moment, Tom’s door opened and another girl came out, adjusting her hair and taking off down the hall, while the first girl in line slipped into Tom’s room. This was a young man who knew something about time management and understood how to successfully juggle Bible study and bl*w j*bs. I went to bed alone that night thinking it served me right for not being religious”, Curtis wrote.
Wow! We did know Showbiz takes its toll but that's some way to handle it!

Jasprit Bumrah is usually considered as a cool and calm individual who rarely loses his cool or engages in a battle on a cricket field. However, the Indian pacer has let his emotions get the better of him in the recent past.

Be it his fiery battle with James Anderson or his recent duel with young South Africa pacer Marco Jansen, Bumrah has had a go at his rivals.
Bumrah got riled up after Anderson said something to him during a Test match in England and he returned the favour by attacking the England batter with a barrage of short-pitched deliveries.
Each step, each success leads to the next one. So proud of this team pic.twitter.com/tXly0dccll
    — Jasprit Bumrah (@Jaspritbumrah93) September 6, 2021
On Day 3 of the 2nd Test between India and South Africa, it was Bumrah who was on the receiving end of the short ball attack and got hit twice on his body.
The 28-year-old then got involved in an animated exchange with Jansen, who had also played for Mumbai Indians alongside Bumrah.
This new side of Bumrah has not gone well with former India batter Sanjay Manjrekar. Speaking during a show on ESPN Cricinfo, Manjrekar said he doesn't like this expressive side of Bumrah.
The former India batter also urged Bumrah to learn from Sri Lanka's legendary bowler and his role model Lasith Malinga on how to behave when things start to get spicy out in the middle.
    View this post on Instagram
Notably, Bumrah and Malinga have played a lot together for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL and the former has credited Malinga on numerous occasions for the success that he has been able to achieve in the international circuit.
"This anger thing is interesting. It happened in England as well and I don't like this side of Bumrah. I like it when things get really hot, he has a smile on his face just like he usually does. Just like Lasith Malinga. It is a side that I don't want to see too much of Bumrah," Manjrekar said.

    — Jasprit Bumrah (@Jaspritbumrah93) July 29, 2021
Just like how a charged up Bumrah spat fire in the England series after a confrontation with Anderson, India would be hoping that his exchange with Jansen can fire him up, and he deliver the goods on the fourth day of the ongoing Test match at the Wanderers and help the team to what would be a historic win.

It is not easy to be Rishabh Pant with so many eyeballs consistently following you, waiting to pounce on your one mistake.

The young wicket-keeper, lately, has been under the firing line of many cricket experts for his outrageous shot selection and when he threw his wicket away to Kagiso Rabada in Johannesburg, many have been calling for his head.
The criticism that started from his statemate Gautam Gambhir has now reached one of the most renowned voices in cricket -Sunil Gavaskar.
    It's Kagiso Rabada again

The legendary cricketer minced no words while blasting the youngster and said that this is not how one can succeed at the Test level.
Gavaskar was speaking at the Cricket Live show on Star Sports and the legendary India batter mentioned that the success Pant managed to get while playing in a similar way against England must be why he tried to take on the bowler so early in the innings.
Gavaskar added that with Rahul Dravid, the head coach of Team India, sitting in the change room, he is certain that Pant received a hearing once he walked back to the pavilion.
    View this post on Instagram
"This is something we saw against England, at the start of the series. When England came to India, he was jumping down the pitch and trying to hit James Anderson… he did that so well. But after that, he seems to think that is the only way to play. That is not the way to play and I am pretty certain that in the change room, Rahul Dravid would have given him a hearing, or as they say in cricket, Dravid must have given him a 'bamboo'," Gavaskar said.
Gavaskar further said that Pant should recall how he got runs in Australia by battling out the tough phases and then played his shots.
Had he tried to play the attacking shot after assessing the pitch, there was more chance of him being able to connect well.
    Jansen gets his third

Pant has failed to get going with the bat in the ongoing Test series in South Africa. He has scored just 59 runs in four innings at a lowly average of 14.75.
Having said that, the team seems to back the youngster and it is now up to Pant to repay the faith shown in him by the management.

SS Rajamouli's RRR, featuring Ram Charan and Jr NTR in lead roles, was all set to hit the theaters on January 7. However, the makers have postponed the film's release due to the rise in Omicron cases. This news came as a shock for fans who were looking forward to seeing the period action drama on the big screen. While the makers are yet to announce a new date, the movie has now landed in legal trouble.
    View this post on Instagram
According to reports, a Public Interest Petition (PIL) has been filed against RRR by a student in the Telangana High Court seeking to restrain the producer from releasing the film and to not issue a Censor Certificate.
PIL have been filed against #RRR in Telangana High Court to stay the release of movie as it distorts the history of Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem 😵
    — Movies For You (@Movies4u_Officl) January 5, 2022
While Rajamouli and the team have always maintained that it is a fictional story of two freedom fighters named Komaram Bheem (Rama Rao) and Alluri Sitarama Raju (Charan), the PIL reportedly alleges that the makers have intentionally distorted history related to the legendary freedom fighters to hurt the sentiments of their followers.

According to a Mirchi9 report, the PIL filed against RRR came before the bench of Justice Venkateswara Reddy and Justice Ujjal Bhuyan. Since it is a PIL, Bhuyan shared that the CJ bench would hear the case.
However, the makers of the much-hyped film are yet to react to the controversy.
Produced by DVV Entertainment, RRR also stars Ajay Dvegn and Alia Bhatt in important characters.
