Playing his first Test match in almost a year, India’s middle order batter Hanuma Vihari exhibited great temperament and formed a crucial partnership with the stand-in captain KL Rahul on Day 1 of the second Test in Johannesburg.
He faced a total of 53 deliveries and throughout his stay in the middle, the Test specialist looked in extremely good touch until he got out in the 39th over of the innings.

Some of the senior batters like Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane led to their own downfall by playing reckless shots, Vihari, on the other hand, was unlucky to get out in the manner in which he did.

The 28-year-old batter had to walk back to the pavilion after Rassie Van der Dussen, fielding at short leg, took a giant leap in the air and pulled off a sensational catch, bringing his innings to an end for 20.

It was a brilliant catch and deserved the wicket but the same can’t be said about the delivery that led to all this. After Vihari got out, the replay of his dismissal started doing rounds on the internet, mainly due to the exceptional fielding effort.
But later some of the fans noticed that the wicket shouldn’t have stood because they were convinced that the delivery that gave Vihari the marching orders was actually an illegal ball as Kagiso Rabada had perhaps overstepped.

A closer look at the replay and one could clearly see why the fans were furious with the decision. In the replay Rabada’s foot landed on the line before dragging further out and as per rules for a delivery to be legal, some part of bowler’s foot must be behind the popping crease, which perhaps was not the case with Rabada.

Soon the screenshots of Rabada’s bowling stride started doing rounds on the micro-blogging site as angry fans fumed at the match officials for making such an horrendous mistake.

    — Ayush Monga (@AyushMonga6) January 3, 2022A couple of years back, the on-field umpire used to check the no-ball but nowadays the responsibility of checking whether a bowler has overstepped or not lies with the TV umpire. The move was hailed as something that would eliminate such umpiring howlers but despite using technology, every now and then we see such mistakes being made by the match officials.
In the past, when the umpires failed to spot a no ball, the benefit of doubt could be given to them because they were watching everything in real-time and one can understand if they missed some calls.
    View this post on Instagram
But now the third umpire has the luxury of technology at his disposal, hence such mistakes can’t be tolerated at all. The ICC must make strong provisions to hold the umpires accountable for every mistake that they make, only then can we see the standard of umpiring improve.

Back in 2019, Akshay Kumar's interview with Prime Minister Narendra Modi had become the talk of the town. Among other things, the one question that had raised eyebrows was Akshay asking the PM about his mango eating habits.
The question led to an explosion of memes on social media and recently, a clip from The Kapil Sharma Show has gone viral where Akshay and Kapil can be seen conversing about the infamous “mango” question.
In the clip, Akshay can be seen pulling Kapil’s leg for asking questions using Archana’s name. Kapil then instantly reminded Akshay about his question to PM Modi where he asked him about mangoes.
    © Kapil Sharma YouTube
The comedian said, “Maine aapki ek interview dekhi, aap ek bahut bade politician ka interview kar rahe they main naam nahin loonga. Aap unse pooch rahe they ‘Mere driver ka bachchan pooch raha hai ki aap aam choos ke khaate hain?’ (I saw an interview of yours with a renowned politician. I won’t name him. But you asked him, ‘My driver’s son wants to know about your mango eating habits?’)”.

Since Kapil didn’t name anyone, Akshay challenged him to name the politician he is talking about. He even said, “Agar asli banda hai toh naam le (If you are a real man, take his name)”.
Interestingly, the clip didn’t make it to the final cut of the episode that was aired on TV or is streaming on the Sony LIV app. It was uploaded as a part of an uncensored bit by Kapil Sharma on his YouTube channel.
The clip has gone viral on social media with many hailing Kapil Sharma for reminding Akshay about the question and trolling the superstar for challenging the comedian in such a way.
One person wrote, “Do not miss the end, Akshay trying to hide his parabola shaped spine by asking Kapil ‘Asli banda hai toh naam le’”. Another wrote, “The gall to say "asli banda hai toh".”
Another response read, “The way he made Akshay speechless was hilarious, though! Face with tears of joy Akshay usually has something or the other up his sleeve to counter, but this time even he was rendered speechless.”
Take a look at the clip and some of the responses below:

As for the “mango” question, at the India Today Conclave in 2019, Akshay was asked about how much research went behind compiling questions for PM Modi, he responded, “How much research do you think goes into asking about aam? There was no research. I asked whatever came to my mind.”
He further defended his lines of questions to the Prime Minister by saying, “I am not the kind of guy who asks dictated questions. Just like an interviewer can ask me about paratha, I asked him about aam. A PM can eat aam, can joke, he is a normal man.”

Ever since Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif’s wedding, which took place in Rajasthan last month, there have been constant speculations around other Bollywood couples who might tie the knot soon. Recently, various reports suggested that Richa Chaddha and Ali Fazal are planning to get married in March 2022. While the Fukrey stars are yet to confirm it, the latest buzz suggests that another celebrity couple might get hitched in March this year.
Well, we're talking about actor-director Farhan Akhtar and his girlfriend Shibani Dandekar. Rumours have it that the couple has decided to exchange nuptial vows in a low-key wedding ceremony in March.
    View this post on Instagram
Revealing the same, a source told BollywoodLife, "Farhan and Shibani were planning a lavish wedding in Mumbai in March 2022. However, now they will keep it low-key as the COVID cases have been rising once again and there are many Bollywood celebs, too, who have been tested COVID positive. And so the couple has decided to get married among friends and family. Farhan and Shibani are living together and they don't want to delay their wedding amid the pandemic, and so, they thought to keep it an intimate affair".
Sharing further details about their alleged wedding, the source added that the much-in-love couple has finalised almost everything and has booked a 5-star hotel as their wedding venue. Also, they have reportedly chosen Sabyasachi outfits for the D-day.
    View this post on Instagram
However, both Farhan and Shibani are yet to react to their wedding rumours.
For the unversed, the Bhaag Milkha Bhaag actor was earlier married to celebrity hairstylist Adhuna Bhabani and they are parents to two daughters, Shakya and Akira. In 2016, the duo shocked everyone by announcing their separation after 16 years of marriage. After over a year, in 2017, their divorce was finalised.
Post his divorce, Farhan started dating Shibani in 2018 and they have been in a happy space since then.
On the career front, Farhan was last seen in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehta’s sports drama Toofan. Earlier this year, the film premiered on Amazon Prime Video and he was appreciated for his performance as a boxer. With Jee Le Zara, featuring Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt in lead roles, he is all set to make his directorial comeback after a decade. He last directed Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Don 2 which was released in 2011.

Sonu Nigam needs no introduction and if you are a 90s kid, you have an idea that he has ruled the music domain for years with his soulful singing. With the changing times, the newer generation started to go for rap music and remixes but we can assure that gems like Sonu and Shaan stay forever in our hearts because they have left an indelible impression.
We stumbled upon a video wherein Sonu Nigam is singing at a Mumbai restaurant and his friends can be seen listening to his soulful voice.
    Here’s the video:

People were quick to judge that Sonu Nigam was drunk and he shouldn’t be singing like this at a restaurant.
    Here are the reactions:
    © Instagram
Then, there were people who loved his singing and felt sad that the newer generation doesn’t understand real music.

We agree with the comments that praise his singing skills because we are glued and would love to hear more from him.

In an interview with Indian Express, Sonu was asked about how his musical journey began. Replying to it, he said, “I was born to parents who were singers. I saw them singing right from my childhood and realized that this is what I want to do as well. This came so naturally to me. Even when I was studying or playing sports, music was always a part of my life. It was always brewing up in my mind, heart and soul.”
He was also asked about the changing trend of music in the county and replying to it, he said that music will always change and you can’t stick to traditional music. “A new generation has come and they evaluate music and art, in general, differently. We are different from our parents and our children are different from us. We have to keep adapting to the new trends to understand the generation and its pulse. Music has changed and so has the music business. And, we are going with the flow,” added the singer.

Sonu was also recently in news when he took a dig at the music reality shows and criticized the way makers present the sob stories of the contestants to bring TRPs. Sonu Nigam has always been blunt with his views and has often landed in controversies because of his statements.
All the negativity around him doesn’t take away the fact that he is a brilliant singer.

Coping with a breakup after being together for a long time is a hard thing to do. It is even harder when exes have to work together after parting ways. However, celebrities are known to be thorough professionals who know how to keep their personal and work life different. There have been instances when various celebrities had to work with their ex-partners despite the awkwardness. However, for celebs, nothing can be worse than kissing your exes on screen. Do you agree?
After breakup, the awkwardness can last for a while, but here are some celeb exes who locked lips on screen after ending their relationship. While some of them still maintain distance, others are friendly with each other.
    Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone
Ranbir & Deepika started dating each other during their Bachna Ae Haseeno days and were together for a long time. However, they parted ways on a bitter note as the Rockstar actor was accused of cheating. Later, they decided to be cordial with each other and reunited for films like Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Tamasha. In both the movies, the ex-couple locked lips on screen and their chemistry was praised by fans. Ever since the release of Tamasha in 2015, they are yet to team up for another project.
    Shahid Kapoor-Kareena Kapoor Khan
The duo first shared screen-space in Ken Ghosh's Fida in 2004 and started dating each other. They were together for almost five years and did films like 36 China Town and Chup Chup Ke. However, they parted ways during the filming of Imtiaz Ali's Jab We Met which was released in 2007 and turned out to be a huge hit. Reportedly, Shahid and Kareena were uncomfortable on the sets post parting ways. However, they didn't let their personal equation affect the film. Jab We Met's climax scene also had a kissing scene between the exes which must have been very awkward for both of them.
    Ranveer Singh-Anushka Sharma
Ranveer and Anushka were reportedly in a relationship during Band Baaja Baarat and Ladies Bs Ricky Bahl, however, they soon parted ways. After their break up, the duo romanced each other again in Zoya Akhtar's Dil Dhadakne Do. They both had a few intimate scenes in the multi-starrer, including a kissing scene. The film was released in 2015 and the actors haven't yet worked together since then.
    Ranbir Kapoor-Katrina Kaif
After his breakup with Deepika, Ranbir started dating his Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani co-star Katrina Kaif. They were in a serious relationship until 2016 and various reports, at that time, even suggested that they were all set to get married. However, they broke up while shooting for Anurag Basu's Jagga Jasoos. Despite the awkwardness, they completed the film's shoot and even promoted it together. For a scene in Jagga Jasoos, the ex-couple even shared a kiss. Well, there must have been discomfort between the two while shooting for that scene, however, they deserve appreciation for being thorough professionals.

Apart from the Virat Kohli-Sourav Ganguly controversy, the biggest talking point in Indian cricket in the last couple of months has been the future of two veteran cricketers Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane.
Heading into the three-match Test series against South Africa, many fans and experts were convinced that this series would be a do-or-die opportunity for the two senior pros and if they returned with below average performance, like they had in the last couple of years, it could bring their international career to an end.
    © Reuters
Half of the Test series is already over and neither of the batters have done enough to warrant a spot in the starting line-up. For Pujara this series has been nothing short of a nightmare and the Saurashtra batter would want to get it out of his system as soon as possible.

Rahane, on the other hand, did score some valuable runs in the first innings of the opening Test, helping the visitors to a healthy total but since then his batting has been on a downward spiral. If that was not all, he hit rock bottom on the opening day of the second Test, scoring the first golden duck of his Test career.
    © Reuters
After their combined failure in the first innings in Johannesburg, a majority of the fans and experts seem to have run out of patience with the two veterans as they believe that the long rope that they had been enjoying is getting shorter with each failure and it’s only a matter of time that they are left out not just from the Playing XI but the red-ball squad altogether.

However, there is one man who still believes that both these experienced batters should be backed for the whole series, if not more. He argued that dropping either of them on the bench in the middle of the series would be a huge mistake.
    © Reuters
Former Indian fast bowler Ashish Nehra said these words in response to the comments made by legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar, who had articulated that both these players have “one more innings to save their careers”.

Slamming Gavaskar’s remarks against Pujara and Rahane, the former Delhi pacer argued that even Test skipper Virat Kohli has had a horrendous run in recent times but nobody was talking about his poor performance just because he was the leader of the squad.

“Even Virat Kohli has similar numbers but nobody is questioning his place in the team. Obviously, he is the captain and what Kohli has done is on a completely different level from the two batters we are talking about. It is not fair to compare, but Rahane and Pujara have also been second to none at their peak, especially the latter,” Nehra said on Cricbuzz.
“If you have backed a player like Rahane for the 1st Test, it would be better to carry on with him for the rest of the series. Agreed, both Pujara and Rahane have been in big trouble of late. But changing players in the middle of an important series is a big decision."
    © Reuters
“If you have chosen Rahane ahead of Shreyas Iyer and Hanuma Vihari, I feel he should then be played for the entire series. Nothing much can change in one or two Tests. Their batting has been an issue for a while now, so why not give them a couple more games? When you are winning, you can give players an extended run. A decision can be taken after the series,” Nehra concluded.

Whether the team management decides to give Pujara and Rahane one more chance or drop them on the bench in the next match, one thing's for sure that they can’t please everyone. That's why Kohli and head coach Rahul Dravid must do what they think would be in the best interest of the Indian team.

However, once the film was released on December 17, it surprised everyone and how, especially, with its collection in the Hindi dubbed version.

The movie opened low but stayed steady, braving not only Spider-Man: No Way Home but also the new release in Ranveer Singh starrer 83.

Telugu superstar Prabhas is one of the biggest names in the industry because of what he brings to films and how he connects to audiences through the characters that he plays.

While his on-screen charisma and personality were already known to people watching him in Telugu films, his portrayal of Amarendra Baahubali in the Baahubali movie series really increased his popularity across the country and outside of it.
    © Disney+ Hotstar
Not many could carry off playing a character that well in a way Prabhas had done, with the whole movie becoming a worldwide sensation.

Having said that, Prabhas has now really become a big household name, with directors really lining up to work alongside him.
I mean, in all honesty, all things considered right now, he is one of the most bankable actors in the industry, with the power to really get cinemagoers to go gaga in large crowds, something that has truly been missing because of the restrictions of the ongoing Covid-pandemic.
As reports go, Prabhas' next project is basically his team up with Arjun Reddy director Sandeep Reddy Vanga for the upcoming film Spirit.
    © BCCL
And boy! You won't believe the kind of crazy money Prabhas is charging for it.

Yeah! According to reports, after doing Om Raut's Adipurush, Prabhas is charging a sum of a staggering Rs 150 crores for Spirit.
    Insane, right?
It is said to be a historic sum of money charged for a movie, and as per reports, this is the second time he is charging such an extravagant amount, with Prabhas usually charging Rs 100 crores as remuneration for all his projects.
However, we think director Sandeep Reddy Vanga would get complete worth for his money with Prabhas' stardom, his talent, and work ethic bringing the money back in with the release of the film.
Vanga, while speaking on the collaboration, said, “Announcing 25th film with India’s biggest superstar will be the biggest news for his fans throughout the world. Working with Prabhas garu will be a great level of excitement and I’m sure the excitement will be doubled once I start to shoot. Everything is big about this announcement because Bhushanji is the biggest producer in the country today who is also a very friendly and understanding producer, he is like a brother too. I’m very happy and comfortable associating with T-Series & my brother Pranay Reddy Vanga of Bhadrakali pictures for the third time.”
Spirit is a film that is being backed by T-Series' Bhushan Kumar.
As per reports, Prabhas wasn't the first choice for the film, with the movie being offered to Ram Charan, Mahesh Babu, and later Allu Arjun, before eventually going to Prabhas.

Hopefully, Prabhas will do tremendous justice to it!

Indian batters Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane seem to be pacing towards their end as members of the Test squad based on the kind of disappointing batting performances they have been putting up for quite some time now.
Former team India cricketer, wicketkeeper and batter, Dinesh Karthik has expressed his opinion on the fate of two of his former teammates and has shown concern about the newly appointed head coach of the squad making some strict and hard-hitting decisions with regards to the two red-ball veterans.
    View this post on Instagram
While talking to Cricbuzz, Karthik explained that the BCCI, the coaching staff and the selection committee have been extremely supportive in giving opportunities to them. Despite their lack of consistency with the bat and a barrage of early dismissals, the team has stuck by them, hoping to see them rise from their ashes once again. However, it seems as if time has run out on them.
“At No. 3 in inarguably the world’s best cricket team, to find a spot there for three years and not score a hundred - he (Pujara) will know he’s got a long, long rope. To a large extent they are playing because of the potential they have, and the performances they have shown, and obviously, they are senior statesmen [in the team] as well,” Karthik said.
    View this post on Instagram
“But the long rope they have been given is slowly burning out and you are coming to the end of it. I am very, very sure that they are both aware of it. Also, we have got to see the potential of the players at the back, they have done as well. Now if Virat Kohli returns, you get a feeling that one of the two has to give way,” DK told Cricbuzz.
He further said that head coach, Rahul Dravid will have to make some tough decisions regarding Pujara and Rahane’s fate with the team and that ‘The Wall’ will be willing to do that if it means bringing further stability to the team and an opportunity to make improvements even more.
    View this post on Instagram
“When Rahul Dravid was at the fag end of his career, it was actually Pujara who came in and did well at that No. 3 spot, put pressure on him to eventually take his spot… Obviously, that circle comes around. I do think Rahul Dravid will have to make a couple of harsh decisions and if that means dropping one or both of them, he’ll be open to it because he knows that they have been given a long rope before…”
“You don’t want to set the ground ablaze by making the big decisions right at the outset so I think he’s waiting and trying to assess what he can contribute to their careers and if it’s not meant to be, it’s not meant to be,” Karthik concluded.
    View this post on Instagram
During the first inning of the second Test match against South Africa, the team was struggling to put up a decent total for the hosts to chase. They needed their middle order to play a steady game and put up a show.
Instead, Pujara took 33 deliveries to score just three runs and then get dismissed while getting completely stunned by Duanne Olivier and lofting an easy catch into the hands of Temba Bavuma. On the other hand, Rahane managed to get the first ever golden-duck of his career in the longest format of the game.
    View this post on Instagram
While other than skipper KL Rahul and Ravichandran Ashwin's innings none of the other batters seemed to have a big impact on the Indian total, the consistency with which Pujara and Rahane have been playing has led to some of the biggest of their supporters to doubt them.
Even the former captain of the Indian cricket team, Sunil Gavaskar expressed his concerns about the two cricketers and said that they might have the second inning of the ongoing match to save themselves from getting dropped and replaced by some of the younger talents desperately waiting for their turn.
