    Celebrity run-ins with law is not new and just recently, Vicky Kaushal landed in a legal trouble as a police complaint was filed against the actor for allegedly using a number plate belonging to the vehicle of a resident of Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Yes, you heard it right. 
    Kaushal was seen driving a vehicle for a sequence in his upcoming film co-starring Sara Ali Khan. As per the complainant, Kaushal's vehicle had a number plate similar to the complainant's vehicle.

    The complainant, Jai Singh Yadav, claimed that the vehicle number used in the movie sequence is his, adding that the actor can’t use that number plate without his permission. “The vehicle number used in the movie sequence is mine. I don't know if the film unit is aware of it but this is illegal. They can't use my number plate without permission. I have given a memorandum at the station. Action should be taken in the matter," news agency ANI quoted Yadav as saying.
    Responding to the complaint, Rajendra Soni, Sub-inspector in Indore's Banganga area, said, "We received a complaint. We will see whether the number plate was used illegally. Action will be taken as per provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act. If the film unit is in Indore, we will try probing them."
    But, it was all a confusion. Indore police said that the two-wheeler that Vicky was seen riding for an upcoming film belonged to the production house and the confusion created because of a bolt that made the number 1 look like 4. 
    “During the investigation of the number plate, we found out that all misunderstanding was caused by the bolt fixed on the number plate. Due to that bolt, the number one is looking like number four. The number used in the movie sequence belongs to the movie production. Hence nothing illegal had been found out in our investigation," Rajendra Soni, sub-inspector, Bangangam, said.

    Kangana Ranaut has always been known to share her unfiltered thoughts as the actor never believes in mincing her words. From politics to her personal opinions on life in general, she has managed to hit headlines all the time.

    Back in the day, her affair with senior actor Aditya Pancholi was the buzz in the media. The Manikarnika actress spilled the beans on how she was brutally treated by the actor and how she had to endure a lot of emotional abuse in the process.

    In a throwback interview with Mumbai Mirror, Aditya Pancholi accused Kangana of betraying him and shared his side of the story. On how he helped her financially, he exclaimed that she owed him money back in 2008.

    “Some time back she called me to say she wanted money, about Rs 1 crore, to buy a house. (This, after she had complained against me to the police.) I called up a banker-friend and stood as her guarantor and got her a loan of Rs 50 lakh. Then, I gave her Rs 55 lakh cash from my pocket. Of this, she has returned Rs 25 lakh. She still owes me Rs 30 lakh," he explained.
    “We were as good as husband and wife. I was actually building a house for both of us on Yari Road. We lived together for three years at a friends' place. Kangana didn't have a penny when I met her. I saw her for the first time on the road. She was on the verge of a nervous breakdown. It was June 27, 2004. She was drenched, and sitting on a bike with a guy from the Asha Chandra Acting Institute... It was pouring. Suddenly, she came up and said a warm 'hi' to me. When she said she was 'Kangana', I remembered a mutual friend had asked me to help her when she reached Mumbai. After that Kangana started calling me up persistently until I agreed to meet her. Initially she was a sweet small town girl. I fell in love with her,,” he said.

    According to the explosive interview, things started going kaput for the two when she flew to South Africa for a movie schedule. "After she returned, I read her sent messages to another actor, while she was asleep. Her messages were certainly not innocent. And I remembered that the words she used for this actor were also used by her when she had called me from South Africa. That was the first time I hit her. We fought and made up," he said. The love story turned into an ugly war of words after his wife also accused Kangana of misbehaving. Well, looks like all's well that ends well.

    Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor's relationship has been going strong since the couple made it official in 2019. The two have always been at the receiving end for their relationship as they are questioned about the age gap between them. They had to face the negativity of trolls when they confirmed they were dating each other back in the day and the narrative hasn’t changed at all even in 2022. 
    While Arjun is 36, Malaika is 48 but Arjun finds it silly to make their age a meter to judge their relationship. Speaking to Masala.com, Arjun said, “Firstly, I think that the media is the one who goes through the comments from people. We don’t even look at 90% of it so the trolling cannot be given so much importance, because it’s all fake. Those same people will be dying to take a selfie with me when they meet me, so you cannot believe that narrative.”
    “What I do in my personal life is my prerogative. As long as my work is being recognised, the rest is all just a lot of noise. Plus, you can’t be so bothered about whose age is what, so we should just live, let live and move on. I think it’s a silly thought process to look at age and contextualize a relationship,” he added.

    In the same interview, he has mentioned that people can form opinions but a relationship should be allowed to breathe. Arjun said, “We are celebrated for our professional life and people are interested in our personal lives. And this has been happening for a long time. It’s very normal because that’s how society functions. There is a voyeuristic pleasure that people get about knowing what celebrities are up to. But yes, I think intrusion and creating a fake narrative into a relationship is wrong. As media or as pap culture, your job is to report it not help audiences form an opinion of it. You can form opinions about the work that I do. But I think the relationship should be allowed to breathe.”

    Malaika has always been very vocal about her relationship with Arjun and has clearly stated that she does not care about these nasty trolls. Opening up about the age difference between Arjun and her, Malaika had told HT Brunch in an earlier interview, "The age difference doesn’t really pop up when you are in a relationship. It is about two minds and hearts connecting. Unfortunately, we live in a society that refuses to progress with time. An older man romancing a younger girl is hailed everywhere, but when the woman is older, she's called 'desperate' and a 'buddhi'. For people who think like this, I have just one line: Take a flying f***."
    It’s high time people understand that it’s their choice to be in this relationship and they are happy with each other. Trolling them for their age gap shows how regressive we are as society.

    With regular skipper Virat Kohli missing the second Test against South Africa due to back spasm, all eyes were on two senior most members of the team Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane.

    Both the Test specialists are going through a horrid run at the moment and many believe their international career is hanging by a thread. In fact, many fans and experts had expected the team management to drop at least one of them on the bench going into a crucial encounter and included more deserving players like Hanuma Vihari and Shreyas Iyer.

    However, injury to the Indian Test skipper meant that both the veteran players were able to retain their position in the Indian batting line-up, with Vihari coming in place of injured Kohli.

    They managed to get one more Test appearance under their belt but they turned sorry figures with the bat, getting out on successive deliveries from Duanne Olivier in the morning session on Day 1.

    The biggest worrying sign was that the deliveries that sent them packing were pretty ordinary balls and could have been easily left had they played with a little bit of caution. The Saurahstra batter struggled his way to three off 33 deliveries but foiled all his hard work by playing a reckless shot off a short-of-length delivery from Olivier which went straight to Temba Bavuma at point.

    If Pujara’s dismissal was ugly, Rahane’s wicket was even more horrendous. Olivier bowled a decent delivery outside off stump but the 33-year-old batter threw his bat at it and ended up giving a simple catch to the slip cordon off the very first delivery that he faced. This was his first golden duck of his Test career.

    The way both the batters threw away their wickets, the fans who had already lost their patience with them started bidding farewell to them on the micro-blogging site.

    Making the bold claim after Rahane’s dismissal, the ‘Little Master’ said that he wouldn't be surprised if they didn’t  turn up for India ever again after this match. He also added that the only way they could save their career was if they performed in the second innings of the ongoing second Test match in Johannesburg. If not they should be ready to pack their bags.

    “After those two dismissals one can say that they probably have just the next innings, both Pujara and Rahane, to save their Test careers,” Gavaskar said in the commentary box.

    “There have been questions asked about their place in the team and now with these two dismissals they have just one innings left. If there is another innings and the way India is going, it looks like there will be another for them to score something and maybe keep their place in the team,” said the batting legend.

    Music composer AR Rahman is beaming with joy as his daughter Khatija Rahman got engaged to Riyasdeen Shaik Mohamed, an audio engineer by profession. The engagement ceremony was held on December 29, 2021, on the occasion of Khatija’s birthday in the presence of both the families and close friends. 
    Taking to social media, Khatija shared the good news with her followers by posting a picture collage featuring her and Riyasdeen. For the low-key engagement ceremony, Khatija opted for a pink and silver outfit paired with matching jewellary and a garland.

    Heartiest congratulations to the couple!
    As per Riyasdeen's Instagram profile, he is a Live Sound Engineer and an aspiring entrepreneur. According to reports in ETimes, he seems to have teamed up with father-in-law AR Rahman on various international concerts and tours. He has over 5,000 Instagram followers and his profile hints at his passion for audio engineering.
    For the unversed, even Khatija has performed with her father AR Rahman in 2019 during Mumbai's U2 concert. She even crooned the song Rock A Bye Baby for Kriti Sanon's Netflix film Mimi and got appreciation for her singing skills. Khatija has also sung songs in a few Tamil films.

    Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are one of the most sought-after celebrity couples in Bollywood. 
    After keeping their relationship under wraps for the longest time, they have been lately flexing about it by indulging in social media PDA, being flirty in press interviews for their upcoming film Brahmastra and jetting off to romantic getaways.

    The duo recently came back from their New Year holiday and was clicked at the airport lobby together. 

    Talking about their airport looks, they did not colour-coordinate their outfits like they did when they were flying off. However, they did manage to look on point.

    Unlike other celebs and their airport looks, their fashion game is cool and chic rather than OTT and maximalist. 

    Ranbir dresses up mostly in a casual outfit like baggy pants and a sweatshirt, and so does Alia in her basic tees and tops and denims. 
    This time too, they gave major fashion goals by acing their airport looks in the most minimalist way.

    Alia wore a black sleeveless top and boot-cut jeans and was carrying a Dolce & Gabbana bag and a puffer jacket in hand. 

    Ranbir, however, aced the airport look in a sweatshirt and cargo pants all in army green and paired the outfit with a camouflage mask and muddy shoes that came with a heeled base.

    Ranbir’s outfit isn’t complete until he adds a cap or a beanie. He wore a brown baseball cap backwards (in a way that only he can) and it looked super cool. 

    Also, this whole outfit had a theme going on. It was monochromatic in shades of green, beige and brown. He looked like he wanted to camouflage but couldn’t.

    Virender Sehwag was one of the most explosive batters to have played the game. He was a player who never cared about a bowler’s reputation and used to play his shots no matter which format he played in.
    Given his aggressive batting style, most people thought his skills were more suited to the limited-overs format and he would never succeed in the longest format of the game.

    However, he proved every critic wrong and established himself as one of India’s most successful Test openers of all-time. With his arrival in the Test squad, Viru changed the whole dynamics of the Indian Test team.
    He was the first Indian batter to score a triple century in Test cricket and as of now he is the only Indian cricketer to score two triple hundred in red-ball cricket which speaks volumes of how he tormented the bowling line-ups in the game’s most challenging format.

    Apart from his incredible batting skills, Sehwag also had the ability of influencing the match officials either by sweet talks or any other means. He once gave a few branded gifts to former Pakistani umpire Asad Rauf and convinced him to rule in his favour and he did exactly that during the famous 2008 Mohali Test against Australia.
    During an interview Sehwag had revealed that he gifted Rauf some branded shoes, glasses and t-shirts and convinced him to not raise his finger against him and he obliged during the 2008 Test match in Mohali.

    The former India opener said that he was batting somewhere in the 80s but ended up edging a short-pitch delivery from Mitchell Johnson but the Pakistani match official didn’t move his finger. Back then, there was no provision of Decision Review System (DRS) as India was against the technology. So, the whole power was with the on-field umpire.

    “Asad Rauf was very fond of collecting things. He loved wearing branded glasses, t-shirts, shoes among other things. I was the brand ambassador of Adidas at the time, so I gifted him shoes, t-shirts, and glasses and I jokingly told him not to raise his finger while I am batting,” Sehwag had said in an interview.
    “And he did exactly that. We were playing against Australia in Mohali in 2008 – the same match where VVS Laxman got us over the line. Mitchell Johnson bowled a short-pitch delivery and I attempted a cut shot but ended up edging it. So thick was the edge that it was heard even inside the dressing room but Rauf gave me not out.

    Sehwag said the edge was so thick that even the players who were sitting in the dressing room could hear that clearly but Rauf turned blind eye to Australia’s strong appeal and sided with him.
    “Ricky Ponting was so angry that he went to the umpire and argued how he could give it not out. The umpire told him that there was no edge. Ponting then rushed to me and asked ‘Did you nick it?’ I said ‘Yes’. He then went back to Asad Rauf and told him ‘even Viru is saying he nicked it’. Then they both came up to me and Rauf asked me ‘Did you nick it?’ to which I said ‘No’.

    “Ponting then started arguing with me ‘you just said you nicked it’. Then I told him “Mr Ponting you never walked and you’re expecting somebody else to walk. I told him that the umpire has a job to do, let him do his job and you do yours and I’ll do mine,” Sehwag added.
    Rauf was a member of the ICC Elite Umpire Panel from 2006 to 2103 and officiated in several high profile matches. He was later banned by the world cricket governing body for his involvement in spot-fixing and we weren’t surprised.

    Sehwag might argue that the gifts which he gave to Rauf was not to influence his decision-making and he didn’t know that the umpire would take his joke seriously and actually rule in his favour.

    But the fact remains that as much as Rauf was the real culprit, Sehwag was also equally guilty and he should consider himself lucky that he got away without any punishment.
