Did You Know AR Rahman Has Worked With His Son-In-Law? Know All About Khatija’s Fiance


Music composer AR Rahman is beaming with joy as his daughter Khatija Rahman got engaged to Riyasdeen Shaik Mohamed, an audio engineer by profession. The engagement ceremony was held on December 29, 2021, on the occasion of Khatija’s birthday in the presence of both the families and close friends. 

Taking to social media, Khatija shared the good news with her followers by posting a picture collage featuring her and Riyasdeen. For the low-key engagement ceremony, Khatija opted for a pink and silver outfit paired with matching jewellary and a garland.

Posting the collage on Instagram, she wrote, "With the blessings of the Almighty I’m happy to announce to you all my engagement with Riyasdeen Shaik Mohamed @riyasdeenriyan, an aspiring entrepreneur and a wizkid audio engineer. The engagement happened on 29th December, my birthday in the presence of close family and loved ones. #KhatijaRahmanEngagementWithRiyasdeen #ThankYou".

Heartiest congratulations to the couple!

As per Riyasdeen's Instagram profile, he is a Live Sound Engineer and an aspiring entrepreneur. According to reports in ETimes, he seems to have teamed up with father-in-law AR Rahman on various international concerts and tours. He has over 5,000 Instagram followers and his profile hints at his passion for audio engineering.

For the unversed, even Khatija has performed with her father AR Rahman in 2019 during Mumbai's U2 concert. She even crooned the song Rock A Bye Baby for Kriti Sanon's Netflix film Mimi and got appreciation for her singing skills. Khatija has also sung songs in a few Tamil films.
