    Tom Cruise is one Hollywood actor who continues to redefine himself with every movie. The actor who's made a global name for himself by doing a wide range of films in all genres has somewhat made the action genre his own. Why? Well, basically because he continues to do death-defying stunts, all on his own without the need of stuntmen in movies.

    He is crazy when it comes to doing such things, with even directors trying to stop him from risking his own life while being on the screen. But Tom being Tom, has nerves of steel and after climbing the Burj Khalifa, jumping off buildings, and flying helicopters, is set to do something even crazier in his next film.

    As per reports, the Top Gun actor is now learning to fly a World War II military plane for dogfight scenes in the latest installment of the Mission Impossible series, Mission: Impossible 8. 

    The 59-year-old star was spotted flying a 1943 Boeing Stearman Model 75 in the United Kingdom at the Duxford Airfield in Cambridgeshire.

    In the action sequence, the Boeing plane, which has two movie rigs on its wings, will be filmed in a chase with another wartime plane, something that does not fall far from Tom's radar.

    As per a source speaking to an English tabloid, “Tom had started to learn to fly a Boeing Stearman biplane earlier this year for a major stunt scene in ‘Mission: Impossible 8’. It’s obviously a highly skilled task but as usual, he has no plans to cut any corners or bring in a stuntman."
    “Filming has only just wrapped on Mission: Impossible 7 but Tom has not given himself a break. And trying to film jaw-dropping scenes with an 80-year-old plane is particularly dangerous," the source added.
    For people who don't know, Tom is actually a trained pilot and it is not the first time he has flown a plane. But flying a World War II plane might actually be a first, even for him.
    Tom, who plays the special agent Ethan Hunt in the Mission Impossible series, recently finished the filming of the upcoming Mission: Impossible 7 film. The eighth film was made in quick succession and will be released in 2023 with a whole list of other films like Top Gun: Maverick releasing before it.

    On days like the one when both Instagram and Whatsapp were snapped out of their element and deprived social media addicts like myself of the comfort of scrolling mindlessly on our feeds, I like to have a few backups set in place. 
    And one such backup for me is ‘Reddit’, the platform that more often than not, always surprises me with an interesting thread, I can’t get enough of.

    The fear factor and the aesthetic pleasure is heightened when we watch a ‘desi’ celebrity beating around the bush with host and daredevil Bear Grylls. 
    After watching Akshay Kumar and PM Modi on the show, the next lineup has action hero and superstar Ajay Devgn bracing it out.

    It's no secret that Virat Kohli wears his heart on his sleeve and never shies away speaking his mind, without being afraid of the consequences. 
    Be it in front of the opposition players or the on-field umpires, Kohli has a habit of putting across his point no matter what.
    People who watch from the outside have divided opinions about his animated behaviour. While some approve of his aggression so long as he is not crossing the thin line between aggression and arrogance, others feel he needs to tone down a bit as it has started to affect his game.

    Kohli, however, is unperturbed by the white noise and does what he feels is right. 

    As the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) faced Kolkata Knight Riders in the Eliminator in Sharjah, neither of the teams wanted to give the opposition even an inch and it reflected in the intensity with which the match was played.
    On paper, it was a low-scoring affair, but the players from both teams were totally charged up throughout the game, especially given what was at stake. The players knew even the slightest of hiccups could prove fatal and bring their campaign to a disappointing end.
    A thrilling encounter that ended in @KKRiders' favour.

    After the first innings, the Kolkata-based outfit was in the driver’s seat after their bowlers had restricted RCB to a below part score of 138/7. 
    But given how the surface has behaved, so far, this season, RCB bowlers knew it wasn't going to be an easy chase and they made the KKR batters grind for each and every one.
    In a closely fought contest like this, each and every run counts and Kohli was doing his best to motivate his troops to give their best on the field. The RCB skipper knew the importance of each and every wicket and that is why when on-field umpire Virender Sharma ruled against his side, he went straight up to him and confronted him.

    This incident occurred during the seventh over of the KKR innings after leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal trapped Rahul Tripathi right in front of the stumps but Sharma ruled in favour of the batter.

    Luckily, RCB had a review available with them and they challenged the decision straight away and it was eventually overturned by the TV umpire, giving RCB their second breakthrough. 
    Despite the third umpire ruling in his side’s favour, Kohli wasn’t content and threw the ball away in anger.

    After that, he walked towards the umpire and presumably asked him how he could rule that not out when the ball had clearly struck the pad first and it was dead plumb.
    Kohli’s frustration stemmed from the fact that this was not the first error in judgement by Sharma. He had given two decisions against his side when they were batting and adjudged Shahbaz Ahmed and Harshal Patel out and the decision, both of which were overturned by the TV umpire after the players took DRS.

    The level of umpiring has been poor throughout the tournament and some fans felt that Kohli was right in confronting the umpire for his repeated mistakes as it cost them two runs while they were batting. 
    Since Sharma had declared the batters out, a couple of singles that they took were not added to their total because as per rules as soon as the DRS comes into the picture, it becomes a dead ball.
    I don't give a damn about cricket ethics and spirit.. that umpire deserved that hearing from Virat Kohli.

    Apart from the fact that your friends are our people who you can confide in, can count on and rant about all your problems, they are also your ultimate and life-long companions, be it grabbing a burger at your favourite restaurant or helping to get a date (no one can be a better wingman than your best friend).

    You know, how when a player is in the ‘playing 11’ and assumes to be killing it on the field, giving his 100% in his best of spirits, thinking he is invincible at the moment. Then suddenly, the coach whistles and calls him to sit on the benches while he substitutes him for another guy...

    He thinks it happened so that he doesn't burn out on the field, and is reassured to be sent back into the game as soon as he catches a breath or two. 

    He’s sitting on the bench, waiting to be looked at while he is only being looked over. 
    Minute after minute as the game inches towards its end, the player keeps getting his hopes high, only to be disappointed in the end. 
    The game’s up, someone else scored the winning goal and you just saw from the stands.

    Now, that is exactly what happens when you start getting benched or as they say ‘sidelined’ in your relationship.
