The ongoing current in B-town is not a movie or a song release but sadly the name of SRK’s son Aryan Khan, who is swimming in a drug controversy. The actor’s son was present on a cruise where apparently a rave party was raided by the cops and he was also one of the few arrested for possessing drugs like charas and cocaine. The officer in-charge is NCB’s star officer Sameer Wankhede, who has previously also been in the news for rocking B-town with his interrogations.

An IRS officer who was previously with the Customs department before joining the Narcotics Control Bureau, Sameer Wankhede has another Bollywood connection. He is married to a famous Marathi actress Kranti Redkar, who starred in Gangajal opposite Ajay Devgn. Here are 5 celebrities who came under his ire and were interrogated and probed by the man, who is known to go beyond his call of duty and takes his job very seriously:
1. Shahrukh KhanBack in 2016, SRK was on his way back home from vacation in Europe and was reportedly stopped at the Mumbai airport for excessive luggage. The interrogation and probe was led by Wankhede who was with the Customs department, and SRK was fined Rs 1.5 lakh.

2. Mika SinghBack in 2013, Wankhede and his team detained the famous singer for carrying large amounts of foreign currency while he was returning from Bangkok. “He was found in possession of $11,000 and Rs 2.75 lakh in cash. The liquor bottles he was carrying were valued at $1,000 (equivalent to Rs 53,000). As per Customs norms, Indian passengers coming from abroad carrying over USD 5,000 need to declare the same,” Sameer Wankhede was quoted explaining the situation.

3. Vivek OberoiThe Saathiya actor came under Wankhede’s radar after the actor was charged for tax evasion of over Rs 40 lakh. At that time. Sameer Wankhede was working with the IT department and led this probe. The actors' properties were raided and later the matter was solved after the due payment of taxes and fines.

4. Anurag KashyapThe director came under the scanner of the IT department back in 2013 when he was interrogated and his properties were raided, after a tax evasion notice of Rs 55 lakh was issued on his name. Wankhede was the Deputy Commissioner in the Service Tax department back then and led the probe.

5. Ram Gopal Varmathe director was busted by the Service Tax Department in 2013 after he evaded tax deposits and was accused of flying off to Hyderabad from Mumbai. The interrogation was led by Wankhede who explained how it all panned out. “He tried to dodge tax authorities by shifting base. Since last year, we have sent notices to 132 film personalities to pay their service tax, but the response has been poor. RGV's name didn't appear in the list at all, which made us suspicious. After a check we have found that his claim that the production houses are registered in Hyderabad is false," he was quoted.

6. Rhea ChakrabortyLast year, post the untimely demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, the web of drug nexus was busted by the NCB officials. In the probe, the first names that came up included that of Rhea and her brother. The entire arrest, probe and interrogation was led by Wankhede himself.

It’s been almost a week since Ravichandran Ashwin and Eoin Morgan were involved in a heated spat during an Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) match but the debate around the issue hasn’t died down yet.
Fans and cricket experts from around the world have had their say on the controversy. Depending on what they made of the situation, everyone seems to be taking either Ashwin or Morgan’s side.
© BCCI IPL
However, former India opener Virender Sehwag took a different stance and blamed Dinesh Karthik as the “biggest culprit” for fuelling the controversy between the two veterans.
Sehwag opined that the KKR wicket-keeper was guilty of bringing the whole issue out in public when he decided to explain what was said in the middle during those tense moments.
Batting great Sunil Gavaskar has now presented a different perspective to the whole situation, raising one pertinent question.
Unhappy with the whole world bashing Ashwin left right and centre, Gavaskar has questioned why Rishabh Pant was given a free pass, despite him being equally responsible for the whole controversy.
© Twitter
Gavaskar argued that Ashwin didn’t know that the ball had come off his bat but Pant knew that and still decided to take the run.
“What nobody asked is, why Pant ran? He was the one who was struck by the ball and if at all anybody should have known that the tradition is not to take the run after ball is deflected, then it was the Delhi skipper,” Gavaskar wrote in his Mid-Day column.
© Twitter Dinesh Karthik
That said, rather than blaming the Delhi Capitals skipper, Gavaskar defended him saying: “Maybe, in the heat of the battle and the anxiety to add runs to the team’s total, he took that extra run. But why blame Ashwin? He may not have even seen the ball hitting his skipper as he would be intent on getting to his end and may have only seen the ball that was away from a fielder and so responded for the extra run.”
“Pant could have stepped in and defused the situation, but in the intensity of the battle and especially in the hot and humid desert atmosphere, it is extremely tough to keep a cool head, so he may have not realised what had happened,” the ‘Little Master’ explained.
© Twitter Dinesh Karthik
The incident took place towards the end of the Delhi Capitals innings in their league game against Kolkata Knight Riders.
The whole issue started when Ashwin stole an extra run after the ball had ricocheted away after hitting Pant’s bat. KKR pacer Tim Southee and skipper Eoin Morgan were not happy with Ashwin and said a few words to him.
Ashwin got out on the first ball of the penultimate over bowled by Southee and as he was walking back to the pavilion, Morgan gave him a fiery send-off which triggered the veteran off-spinner. Both the players exchanged a few words and Karthik had to intervene to bring things under control.
R Ashwin fight with Southee and Morgan: Ashwin and Rishabh Pant exchange words with Southee and Morgan in KKR vs DC clash

— imRD007 (@im_rd007) September 29, 2021 The veteran off-spinner couldn’t contribute much with the bat but he bowled an economical spell, picking up the all-important wicket of Morgan himself.
A couple of days after the match, Ashwin, through a series of tweets, explained his stance and what he thought of former and current players taking high moral ground and questioning his sportsman spirit.
View this post on InstagramAshwin said he had no idea that the ball had deflected off Pant’s bat and added that even if he knew, he would have still gone for that run because it was permissible within the laws of the game.
While the likes of Shane Warne were busy bashing Ashwin and his sporting spirit, Pant, despite playing a major role in this controversy went unnoticed. Perhaps the reason why Ashwin was turned into a villain was that he was the one who had called for the run.
Having said that, it doesn't mean Pant was any less guilty in this whole situation.

While cribbing about the Monday morning blues and other petty problems, we are often reminded of the people who are living in actual and seriously grim situations.
Our problems seem like a fraction of what they have to face which makes us count our blessings. And, more often than not, these people have the biggest smiles on their faces despite all the troubles they go through every day.

People on social media were faced with a similar heart touching story of a specially-abled man a few days ago that made them forget their own troubles.
A travel Vlogger uploaded a video of a specially-abled man, probably in his late 20s or 30s, who was selling oranges on the roadside.
© YouTube/Ted Kunchok
Tibetan travel Vlogger Ted Kunchok met the fruit seller on the roadside of a hill station he was travelling in.
Named Anu, he had 10 bundles of oranges on a wooden slab that he was selling for Rs 100.
He told Ted that he had a father and sick mother at home. The vlogger bought all his oranges and even gave one bundle back and Rs 2000 for his mother.
© YouTube/Ted Kunchok
He shared the video on YouTube and captioned it, “Anu is physically challenged…despite that he’s still working to help his sick mom. Its so inspiring and heart touching ..i am fortunate that i met him Never give up.”
Watch the video here:
His story and unwavering determination to work for his sick mother at home left people in tears.
While some were amazed by his dedication and hard work, others went into self-introspection saying that the orange seller is an inspiration for them.

A user wrote, “Born healthy, parents earn more than enough, went to prestigious school and college, but often feel sorry of myself everytime I see my friends' IG. I really need to fix my mindset. Thanks Anu!”
Another commented, “This truly touched my heart. Damn I'm speechless. May he always be surrounded by the kindness of strangers and no harm comes to him. The small little gifts we meet in our journey in life is as precious as father time.”
© YouTube/Ted Kunchok
People also lauded the Vlogger for helping him and sharing his story. This orange seller is motivating people to not let anything limit them or stop them from working hard.

It's a fact that animals and birds are usually found in their natural habitat, but what would you do if they were found casually strolling about in human civilisation?
Well, that's as scary as it sounds. And, an actual lion coming out of the public restroom is something we don't get to see often.
Recently, a video of a lion exiting a public restroom went viral on the internet, which left viewers amazed.
The recording shows the shot from a moving car, and as the vehicle reaches the toilet, one can see the lion stepping out swiftly.

A lot of surprised gasps are heard in the background, probably of people sitting inside the car.
Sharing the video on Twitter, the WildLense Eco Foundation had also warned people of staying cautious inside the toilets.
The caption with the video read, “Loo is not always safe… it can be used by others too”.

The lion also checks the surroundings while moving and then strolls back to the jungle.
Ever since the video went live, people have been stunned to see the unexpected incident.
Some people also had a hilarious take on it. One user said, "Surprise checking by sanitary inspector", while another one wrote, "What exactly the lioness doing in the toilet? Following Swacch Bharat Mission, taking a leak or drinking from the commode?"
