The Indian women's hockey team gave a tough competition to Great Britain in their match to secure a bronze medal in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

India was leading at the halfway mark with a lead of 3-2 but in the second half, Great Britain changed the game and won with a lead of 4-3.
Yes, it’s surely heartbreaking but it doesn’t take away from the sheer efforts that the team has put all throughout.
Shah Rukh Khan, who played the role of a national hockey coach in Chak De! India, was disappointed too but he made sure that he appreciated the team for the hard work they put in and lauded their spirit.
He wrote in a tweet, "Heartbreak!!! But all reasons to hold our heads high. Well played Indian Women’s Hockey Team. You all inspired everyone in India. That itself is a victory."

After this tweet started to go viral, people started to bash King Khan for being an attention seeker and also accused him of shedding 'fake tears' on the loss.

    Here are the reactions:

While there were haters, there were also people who appreciated SRK for his positive message.

We also felt this hatred was totally uncalled for because all SRK was trying to do was motivate the team and help them through this crushing time.

Previously, after the squad entered the semi-finals, Shah Rukh had tweeted, “Haan haan no problem. Just bring some Gold on your way back….for a billion family members. This time Dhanteras is also on 2nd Nov. From: Ex-coach Kabir Khan," referring to his role in Chak De! India. Directed by Shimit Amin, the film revolved around the state of women’s Hockey in the country.
Like SRK, we too are proud of our women.

The Indian women’s hockey team’s inspiring journey at Tokyo Olympics came to an end as they lost 4-3 to Great  Britain in a high-octane bronze medal match.
After the men's team won the bronze medal the previous day, the entire country was waiting with bated breath to see our women players win their first-ever Olympic medal in hockey, but their historic campaign ended in tears, proving that not all fairytales have a perfect ending.
Our players gave it their all but unfortunately, it wasn’t their day and they ended up second best on the day, losing to 2016 Olympic champions Great Britain.
They might have fallen short in the bronze medal game but they exceeded all expectations and made the entire country proud.

However, the visuals of our players crying after the full-time hooter went viral on social media and it broke every Indian heart and left each one of us emotional.

Heartbreaking to see the women's hockey cry like this. I feel teary eyed myself. They have really given their best & done us all proud. Chin up women, you've fought brilliantly pic.twitter.com/IBoZeYPYRz

“Heartbreak!!! But all reasons to hold our heads high. Well played Indian Women’s Hockey Team. You all inspired everyone in India. That itself is a victory,” wrote Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
We narrowly missed a medal in Women’s Hockey but this team reflects the spirit of New India- where we give our best and scale new frontiers. More importantly, their success at #Tokyo2020 will motivate young daughters of India to take up Hockey and excel in it. Proud of this team.

India’s daughters - our determined athletes; we are immensely proud of you!

Not just the players, even the head coach Sjoerd Marijne broke down completely during the post-match press conference while answering the journalists.
We did not win a medal, but I think we have won something bigger. We have made Indians proud again and we inspired millions of girls that dreams CAN come true as long as you work hard for it and believe it! Thanks for all the support!

“We did not win a medal, but I think we have won something bigger. We have made Indians proud again and we inspired millions of girls that dreams CAN come true as long as you work hard for it and believe it! Thanks for all the support!,” Marijne wrote on the micro-blogging site.
We all are proud of the achievements of our women’s team who qualified to the knock-out stage of the Olympics for the first time in their history and reignited everyone's interest in the sport that is so close to our hearts.
They failed to win a single game at the Rio Games but their Tokyo 2020 campaign was a roller-coaster ride. They began the tournament with a series of losses but won both their last two group games and reached the quarterfinals riding on their luck and talent.

The team pulled off the biggest shock of the tournament when they got the better of a strong side like Australia in the quarters to reach a historic semifinal where they lost to Argentina in a closely-contested match.

Words fall short every time we try to sum up our emotions and their incredible journey.
Sitting in front of our TV sets, we experienced each and every emotion, something that had never happened before, at least not in our lifetime.

All of us, including you and I, have different versions of ourselves that we put on in front of people depending on who we are going to engage with. In front of our parents, We’re different, more docile. In front of friends, uninhibited. In front of lovers, we are more poised and graceful and it is only alone that we are who we really are.
When we are alone, we tend to let go of all pretense and behave as unapologetically as ever. There is no need for any filter, and so the things that we would usually second guess about doing in front of people, come naturally to us when we are by our lonesome.

A question that we recently put across to a few men asking what are the things that they do when they think no one is looking and the answers aren’t just candid, they’re wholesome in their own hilarious ways.

Here is what men had to say -
    © Giphy
    1) “Sit around with my hand resting on my balls. Just like that.”

    © Giphy
    2) “Sometimes when I am walking alone, zoned out in my own thoughts, I tend to start pacing like my favorite bowler and bowl one of my finest.”

    © Giphy
    3) “Abuse randomly, loudly and with zero inhibitions. Whether it is when I come across something shocking, surprising, pleasant or absolutely mind numbing, being alone always means being able to shout out your favorite curses.”

    © Giphy
    4) “Tug at my balls or fix my crotch when my trousers are too tight.”

    © Giphy
    5) “Sing, very loudly and the kind of songs that I otherwise wouldn’t be caught dead listening to. Especially the ones that go viral and stick in your head and become sort of like your guilty pleasures.”

    © Giphy
    6) “Modulate my farts. Sometimes try the silencer style, other times it’s either vibrating farts or even the loud bursts that you’d never be able to do in public. The relief to not hold it in is sublime”

    © Giphy
    7) “Watch romantic movies, the ones that make you cry like a baby. Call it my guilty pleasure, but watching a romantic tragedy and having a good cry feels like a cleanse sometimes.”

    © Giphy
    8) “Drop down and do 20 pushups right before a date, just so the muscles flex better and my chest looks pumped up.”

    © Giphy
    9) “Try my sister’s make-up on. Not anything too fancy, but once in a while I like to put on a little gloss or curl my hair and see what’s the fuss about. It’s not all bad, to be honest.”

    © Giphy
    10) “Pick out dandruff from my beard. The struggle is real!”

When it comes to social media, many celebrities keep us entertained. While some do it with their workout videos and posts, others keep us hooked with their humour. One such celebrity is Sara Ali Khan, who takes to Instagram frequently and posts videos that are hilarious. Recently, she shared a picture with a bandage on her nose, and as she removed it; the actress had a bleeding nose. She also captioned it, saying, "Sorry Amma Abba Iggy Naak kaat di maine."

Similarly, the actress recently posted yet another goofy video that shows the places she has travelled to. The locations include Bihar, Goa, Jaipur etc., which she visited either for her projects or with her family. She has been doing a lot of 'Namaste Darshako' videos. In the recent one, though, she has shared experiences travelling to different places. Not just that, she has dubbed it in Hindi, which caught everyone's attention.
In the clip, she is first seen taking the audience to India Gate and is then seen holding a big bundle of grass. This soon shifts to hills. In fact, she even visited Vaishno Devi. The funny part comes when a horseman tells her that she won't be allowed to enter the shrine if she has committed sins.

We experienced a real Chak De moment this time as a country, as the Indian men's hockey team stood out during the Olympic games after 41 years. The team defeated Germany with a 5-4 win and won the bronze during the ongoing games on Thursday. The team was determined to score the medal this time and made a massive comeback. Thus, the medal jinx finally came to an end. Thanks to Simranjeet Singh's brace and Hardik Singh, Harmanpreet Singh and Rupinder Pal Singh for being the best goal-getters, India is proud of the team.

However, in the recent turn of events, as many people worldwide and celebrities from Bollywood congratulated the team, Farhan Akhtar faced trolling once again, and here's why.

    © Twitter/Farhan Akhtar
The producer and singer made a mistake while posting on Twitter. He wished women's hockey team instead of men's. The wrong tweet led to a lot of memes and trolls. As soon as Farhan realised it, he deleted the tweet stat. However, the 'mistake' had already gone viral in such a short span, and the people left no stone unturned and made it into a meme-fest.

One user said, "These tweets are enough to prove that he is on high weed", while another user said, "Male version of Alia Bhatt."
    Check out the reactions here:

Farhan has been on the wrong side a lot of times and is trolled often. However, the actor usually takes it in his stride and doesn't respond to them. Unfortunately, he also became the target once as he questioned the Serum Insititute of India regarding the price of the vaccine.

He finally addressed to trolls, saying, "Oh look, my dear trolls. Govt asking to lower price of vaccine as well. Hope you’ll swamp their TL with the lectures on economics you’ve been giving me. Until then mask up, stay home and wash your mouths.. I mean hands!!"

On the work front, Farhan recent movie Toofan was released on Amazon Prime. The movie has received accolades and rave reviews.
