    Suresh Raina is one of the most-loved cricketers in the country and his popularity levels are still high despite him announcing his retirement from international cricket last year, alongside his mentor MS Dhoni.
    He is among the most active cricketers on social media and fans always love to get candid with the southpaw through his Twitter or Instagram posts.

    However, the last few weeks haven’t been good for the former Indian cricketer because of his statements which have caused massive controversy on the internet. 

    First, he was slammed for saying he would quit Indian Premier League if MS Dhoni was not there which drew massive criticism from his die-hard fans, who questioned where his individuality was.

    Now, days later, another statement of his has stirred an even bigger controversy and this time, he is being slammed for mentioning his caste while answering a question on live TV.

    The left-handed batsman was on-air during the opening match of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) and was asked about his experience of embracing the Chennai culture over the years. 
    Nicknamed ‘Chinna Thala’ by passionate CSK supporters, Raina began his answer by saying “I am also Brahmin” and added that he had been playing in Chennai since 2004.

    Not just her sudden marriage, but her entire relationship with Aditya came as a surprise to a lot of people, however, the Kaabil actress has now finally decided to open up on her love story with Aditya.
    “I’d say the start was during the promotion of Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019). That’s when we started talking,” Yami Gautam told HT City. 
    However, the actor said she “wouldn’t call it dating. But yeah, that was a time when we started interacting with each other and started a friendship.” said Yami while speaking to the Indian Express.
    The actress said that her decision to marry Aditya had a lot to do with the value system and the ethics the two shared in common.
    “You just know it. When you start understanding the person’s value system, and what family he belongs to. You don’t have to have similarities or share common things in your interests, but have similarities in your value system and in your ethics.
    "And we share that a lot. I have a lot of respect for Aditya and I had a lot of respect for him as a professional and as a person. I respect him for who he is,” said Yami.
    Well, what can we say?
    As much as we like the drama in films and the noise around it, we're glad that Yami could find her soulmate and marry him in an environment most suited to her.

    When Deepak Chahar went to bat during the second ODI between India and Sri Lanka, he was nervous, the commentators were already talking about the third match and only a handful of fans had faith that the match was still winnable. 
    However, by the time Chahar was done with his innings, the only thing people were talking about was how someone like him transformed himself to look like a legitimate batting option in the India middle order.

The newly appointed Indian head coach, Rahul Dravid could be seen visibly panicking and running down the dressing room and to the dugout to talk to the reserve players who were acting as waterboys towards the end of the match.
    It was understood that Dravid had some message for Chahar, who was batting exceptionally well as India inched closer and closer towards winning the match and the series. So when Chahar struggled to stand straight and called in medical help to make him survive some excruciating cramps in his hamstrings, the waterboys went on to convey Dravid’s message to him on the field.

    Among all of this, you are bound to see posts on social media that all this is being done with the money that was earned from the ill-treatment of Amazon’s warehouse workers, and with money that was cheated away from millions of impoverished people in the form of tax avoidance.

    While all this is true, and indeed, most of us share the “Eat The Rich” sentiment, calling this space race between the billionaires, namely Musk, Bezos & Branson as a Billionaires’ Dick Measuring contest and dismissing all of this as faff is not right. Here are 5 reasons why their space race will actually boost space tourism.

    The Advancements That Elon Musk’s SpaceX Made
    One of the biggest advancements in space travel came from SpaceX. They were the first organisation to successfully land a used rocket on a floating platform so that it can be used again. Spacecrafts and rockets are different in the sense that rockets are usually thought of as disposable units. SpaceX’s research and development are making space travel, not just ecological and resource-friendly, but affordable as well. More on this later.

    Both, SpaceX & Blue Origin have worked closely with NASA, often getting contracts on several projects and their developments. One of the key areas where Bezos’ Blue Origin has made strides is safety. Blue Origin helped in developing panels that go on the outer section of a spacecraft and rockets that can withstand the heat and pressure when objects reenter the earth’s atmosphere, in a much better way than what NASA used. They have also been instrumental in developing pod-ejection modules that are again, safer than what NASA had. All this will allow NASA to send astronauts into planetary missions, and not just to the ISS.

    We also have to look at the monetary and economic side of things. It takes NASA about $30,000 to send one kilogram of cargo to space, because their launch procedures are very expensive, and can be as high as $2 Billion Dollars. In comparison, ISRO’s GSLV MK3 can send one kilogram of cargo for as little as $5000. 

    In comparison to all other space agencies, it takes SpaceX about $2200 to send one kilogram of cargo. This significantly drives down the cost of deployment for satellites and monitoring systems all around the world.
    Discoveries/Inventions Drive Society ForwardPeople often forget that most of the things that we take for granted today came into existence because of military development combined with space travel research. The basic fundamentals of mobile internet, for example, was developed by the boffins at NASA, for the US military - of a way to transmit data packets over radio waves, in the 1960s. 
    Basically, if the US Military did not fund NASA to develop a way to transmit cellular data over radio waves, you would have never been able to binge-watch your favourite OTT shows or watch YouTube videos.

    One of the key reasons why people hate the idea of Billionaires travelling to space is the entire tourism aspect of it. No matter what Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk say, that they want to build hotels in space and make habitable colonies on other planets, the reality is, that is not going to happen in their lifetime. It is very difficult for human bodies to exist in space.

    Take Scott Kelly as an example. The American astronaut spent a year at the ISS. Before that, he had been to space 3 times. Right after returning from the ISS, Kelly resigned, simply saying, never again. Even the most basic day-to-day functions in space are massively complicated. You can't take a shower, you need special training and equipment to answer nature’s call, you seem to lose your sense of taste - space isn’t luxurious, not even remotely, and the billionaires know that. No amount of money can overcome this.

    The bottom line…Don’t take this piece as a defense of the problematic behaviour that people like Musk, Bezos and Branson have displayed over the years, nor of the fact that they have evaded taxes, using legal, but questionable loopholes. No one in their right mind can deny that. One can also not claim that the billionaires of the world are pursuing space travel out of a philanthropic or an altruistic bent of thought. 
    However, denying the fact that they have made some notable achievements in this field that will benefit us someday is plain idiotic, especially when there is concrete evidence that anything and everything that has been derived from space travel has benefited humanity in a great way. Just look at the origins of Earth Day and how it impacted the global initiatives by governments all across the world, and you’ll know what we’re on about.
    Sure, let’s all eat the rich. But first, let them explore space.

    Most of us have been friends with or have known someone who loves to boast about even the smallest of their achievements.  
    Seems like Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan also belongs to this very group of individuals who don’t shy away from harping about anything they do.
    Ishan Kishan had a brilliant start to his One Day International career when he scored a brisk half-century in the first ODI against Sri Lanka but more than his maiden fifty, what caught everyone’s attention was the fact that he showed no nerves at all and cleared the fence on his very first ball.

    After the match, Kishan revealed that he had told his teammates in the dressing room that he would try to clear the ropes on his very first ball. 

    His statement got mixed reactions from fans as some praised his confidence, while others made him aware of the thin line that exists between confidence and overconfidence.

I already told you guys that no matter who the bowler was and no matter where he was going to bowl, I was going to send him for a six on the very first delivery,” Kishan told leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal on his famous ‘Chahal TV’ segment.

    It’s hard for any person to change their habit overnight and the young keeper was no different. 
    Days after foretelling he would hit a six on the very first ball, the 23-year-old made headlines once again after a video of him from the second ODI went viral where he could be heard saying that he had already told others he would run him out.
    “Paaji bol ke run out maara hai bol ke. Puch lo,” Ishan told one of his teammates, during the last over of the Sri Lankan innings.

    No matter how much he claims, these things are impossible to predict for anyone and Kishan was just lucky that things turned out well for him. 
    The game is a great leveller and after his flamboyant knock in the first ODI, Kishan failed with the bat terribly, getting out for one run off four balls and nobody learned if he had told his teammates something similar before walking out to bat this time around as well.

    Samsung finally confirmed that the company will be hosting its much-awaited Galaxy Unpacked event on 11th August. The event will start at 7:30 PM IST and the company teased the upcoming launch with the tagline “Get ready to unfold.”

    It has been rumoured that the company is looking to launch two new foldable smartphones in the form of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 along with the Galaxy Watch 4, and Galaxy Buds 2.

    The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is rumoured to be powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset according to a Geekbench leak. The phone’s model number is reportedly SM-F7110U and it will come with a 3,300 mAh battery, 25W fast charging and 15W wireless charging. The smartphone is expected to have a 1.9-inch external display that will show notifications and work as a viewfinder for taking selfies. 

    The main foldable screen is said to the 6.7-inches and will likely have a refresh rate of 120Hz. The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is also expected to be 20% cheaper than its predecessor.

    The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is rumoured to come with two displays i.e. a 6.23-inch and a 7.55-inch Super AMOLED display. The Z Fold 3 is also said to have support for the S Pen and will work very similar to Samsung tablets and the Galaxy Note series. The Z Fold 3 is also said to be powered by a Snapdragon 888 chipset and will offer up to 12GB of RAM. 

    The smartphone is also said to have a triple camera setup at the back where it will house two 12MP sensors where one of which will be an ultra-wide lens. The smartphone is also said to have a 16MP under-display front-facing camera and a 10MP camera on the cover when folded.

    Along with the two phones, Samsung is also expected to launch the Galaxy Buds 2 that are said to have ANC (Active noise cancellation). Each bud is said to have a 61 mAh battery while the case is said to have a 472 mAh battery. The Galaxy Buds 2 are said to last 28 hours on a single charge when taking the charging case into account. 

    The Galaxy Watch 4 is also expected to be announced alongside the two phones and will come in 40 mm and 44 mm size variants. The two models are said to have a circular design and two physical buttons on the right side. The smartwatch may also come with bezels that are touch-sensitive. The smartwatch is rumoured to come in an array of colours such as white, green, black, red, and yellow with silver, black, and mystic bronze. This could also be the first smartwatch by Samsung that will have an integrated operating system of Tizen OS and Google Wear OS.

    There was a time when no one had even heard about a conference meeting on Zoom chatroom. But now, thanks to the pandemic, we could locomote to the online world and learn new ways to have a professional life, from the comfort of our homes.

    Many people shared their experiences of working remotely. Some situations were cringeworthy, while others were downright hilarious. 

    We have heard a toilet flush during a Supreme Court conference call and people naked on the screen. In July, a couple was caught having *** during a class online, and this came from Ho Chi Minh City. 
    The incidents are countless, and some are embarrassing too.

    More recently, though, a video of a woman went viral. She had been wearing the same shirt for 264 days, ever since the pandemic hit and no one in her company ever noticed it. 

    So, when Jem confessed the same in front of her colleagues, they had no idea what she was talking about. However, similarly, Alexandra Ceberio's rant about her ensemble recently went viral.
    The 24-year-old woman was heard talking about her outfit and had skipped entirely that she was not on mute during the conference call. Take a look at the incident here.

    She had recently started working as a sales job person and mentioned that when she joined the call, there was no one around, and the cameras were off. 
    She then started ranting about her outfit to send the funny clip to her friends, surmising that no one was listening. 
    But, unfortunately, a colleague did hear her. And, while Ceberio said, "My work from home fit today, some f*****g bulls***, 'cause I got ready and everyone has their cameras off. I got this frizzy ass gym hair from yesterday, this shirt is from..." the colleague responded, "Hey guys, I can hear you, just so you're aware."
    This incident left Ceberio stunned and embarrassed as she heard her colleague's voice. However, her fellow mates on TikTok said it's common these days, due to the WFH situation.

    However, Alexandra was glad that her new boss wasn't on the call. 

    She also told Buzzfeed, "Luckily my boss or anyone important wasn't on it, but it was still so embarrassing. After the video ended, I muted myself and literally tried to change my voice for the rest of the call. I did not speak unless I was spoken to."

    On Monday evening, Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty’s husband and businessman Raj Kundra was accused of producing pornographic films and distributing it on the internet through a mobile application. As a result, Kundra was arrested and remains in police custody until July 23, 2021.
    When such a big celebrity gets involved in such a controversial matter, a run-down their old social media posts is one of the most basic and common things to expect and in Kundra’s case, his online history was full of talking points, especially while interacting with other big names of the sports and entertainment industries of India.
    One such interaction took place between Kundra and the current vice captain of the Indian Test cricket team, Ajinkya Rahane.

    Back in 2012, Rahane showed his appreciation for Kundra’s “work” and said that he was doing a “great job”. Obviously, the message wasn’t about making porn but about one of the other shows that the businessman was involved with at the time.

    Kundra responded to Rahane’s comments happily and in fact invited him to watch the show live, which obviously given the current scenario, has to be the worst probable response the accused could ever have thought of.

    We have all heard of ‘old habits die hard’. Taking of which, Kangana Ranaut strongly reacted on Tuesday to the arrest of Shilpa Shetty’s husband, Raj Kundra. This was after Raj Kundra was arrested for making and distributing pornographic films via mobile apps.

    She again said that she will expose the ‘underbelly of Bullywood’, and also expressed she plans to do that through her upcoming production venture Tiku Weds Sheru.
    She took to her Instagram story and wrote, “This is why I call movie industry a gutter…all that glitter is not gold, I am going to expose the underbelly of Bullywood in my upcoming production called Tiku weds Sheru…we need a strong value system and conscience in the creative industry and of course a whip.”

    For the uninitiated, Raj Kundra was recently arrested by Mumbai Police in connection with making and distributing pornographic films. He has now been identified as a key conspirator in the case. On Tuesday, he was brought before Mumbai court and was sent in police custody till July 23.

    Raj Kundra was arrested based on a complaint by a woman, who said that she was forced into doing a porn film on the promise of a film role. The police has made over nine arrests so far. They’ve also arrested Raj Kundra’s close friend Ryan Thorpe in the case.

    The Mumbai police commissioner said in a statement on Monday, “There was a case registered with the Crime Branch Mumbai in February 2021 about the creation of pornographic films and publishing them through some Apps. We’ve arrested Mr. Raj Kundra in this case on 19/7/21 as he appears to be the key conspirator of this. We have sufficient evidence regarding this.”

    Before the Sri Lanka series began, most of the experts and fans were focused on Hardik Pandya’s form and fitness -- whether he would start bowling again and solve India’s problem for a genuine fast-bowling all-rounder.
    Two matches are gone and India have already taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series but we are yet to see any significant contributions from Hardik. 
    He didn’t get a chance to bat in the first match but got out without troubling the scorers on Tuesday.

    Chasing a target of 276, India were in a spot of bother having lost four wickets with just 115 runs on the board. The stage was set for Hardik to prove his haters wrong but he failed miserably.

    As they say, one man’s loss is another man’s gain, the same thing happened in Colombo as Deepak Chahar, playing as a mainstream bowler, played the knock of his life and scripted a memorable win that nobody saw coming.

    Chahar walked in to bat with the scoreboard reading 160 for six but instead of caving into the pressure, he faced the challenge front-on and played a mature innings, something which was expected of the mainstream batters and not him. 
    By the time India crossed the finish line in the final over, billions of fans had got their new batting hero in Deepak Chahar.  
    After his ‘Man of the Match’ performance, his comparison with Hardik was only imminent, with fans arguing how Chahar’s one knock has made things even more difficult for the Baroda player.

    “Only one thing that was going on in my mind: this is the kind of innings I've been dreaming of. No better way to win the match for the country. Rahul sir told me to play all the balls. I've played a few innings with India A and I think he has belief in me. He told me he thinks I'm good enough to be a No. 7. He has belief in me,” Chahar said at the post-match interview, after receiving his Player of the Match award.

    Fans are excited and that can be understood as nobody gave India the chance to get close to Sri Lanka’s total let alone win the match but Chahar and Buvneshwar Kumar showed great fighting spirit and took the team over the line with a crucial seven-wicket stand.

    That said, while celebrating this epic victory, we must not get carried away by just one performance and forget that Hardik is a far superior batsman than Chahar and holds the key to the team's overall balance.  

    Chahar, on the other hand, has definitely strengthened his case for the T20 World Cup later this year.

    Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. He has been arrested for being a key conspirator in a case related to the alleged creation of pornographic films and publishing them through mobile apps. Raj and 10 others have been taken into custody.
    Raj Kundra has been booked under sections 420 (cheating), 34 (common intention), 292, and 293 (related to obscene and indecent advertisements and displays) of IPC besides relevant sections of the IT Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.

    After this case was highlighted, there were speculations citing the involvement of Shilpa Shetty in the case and people wanted to know if she had any sort of link-ups in the case. The police have finally broken their silence and released a statement. “We have not been able to any find any active role (of Shilpa Shetty) yet. We are investigating. We will appeal to the victims to come forward and contact the Crime Branch Mumbai and we’ll take appropriate action," joint commissioner of police (Crime), Milind Bharambe said as per Hindustan Times.

    The nine persons arrested before Raj Kundra’s name popped up in the case include TV actress Gehna Vashisht, Yasmin R. Khan, Monu Joshi, Pratibha Nalavade, M. Atif Ahmed, Dipankar P. Khasnavis, Bhanusurya Thakur, Tanvir Hashmi, and Umesh Kamath who is the producer looking after the operations of ‘Hotshots’ in India.
    Well, this is not the first time that Raj has grabbed the limelight for the wrong reasons. Back in 2013, it was reported that Raj was in touch with seven bookies and placed bets on his team through three IPL seasons. Both Raj and Shilpa owned a cricket team in the Indian Premier League that suffered a bad end because of the IPL betting case.

    Last year, his name popped in a ‘gold scam and fraud’ as a Non-Resident Indian businessman, currently in Mumbai, Sachiin J. Joshi has claimed in a police complaint that he was reportedly lured and then cheated by SGPL's 'Satyug Gold Scheme', launched around 2014.
