India suffered a major heartbreak last month when they conceded the World Test Championship title to New Zealand in Southampton which led to people raising fingers at Virat Kohli’s captaincy and his tactics.
Yes, winning titles is important, as those are the things people cherish forever, but like Kohli said, a single loss doesn't make a team good or bad, it’s the consistency over a period of time that matters.

Also, it was not the first time India had lost a major game, like every team, they had far worse days in the past and bowing out of the 2007 World Cup from the group stage was one of them.
After India were knocked out of the 2007 World Cup in the Caribbean, the way batting legend Rahul Dravid handled the setback defined his legacy as the skipper.
The players were disappointed for letting billions of fans down with their poor performance but Dravid, instead of pointing fingers at anyone, went out for a movie with Irfan Pathan and MS Dhoni and shared an important life lesson with them.

“It’s all about comfort. You perform much better with a coach or a captain, whom you are comfortable playing with. What Rahul Bhai brings in is - Clear communication. Even when he was the leader for the Indian cricket team, if anyone had any problem, they could just go up to him and talk about it very freely,” Irfan Pathan said on the Star Sports show Game Plan.
“I remember an incident – when we lost the 2007 (ODI) World Cup - we were in West Indies - he came up to me & MS Dhoni and said, ‘look, I know we all are upset, let’s go for a movie. We went for the movie and then we had half an hour to ask him things. He said, yes, we lost this World Cup, we wanted to make a difference, but this is not the end of it; life is much bigger; we will come back tomorrow. That’s the kind of character he is,” he added.

Dravid was arguably one of the most underrated skippers to have led the Indian team and not winning a major title played a major role in diminishing his legacy.
The last time India won a Test series in England was under Dravid’s captaincy.
While everyone calls Kohli the master of the run chase, it was Dravid who transformed the way India went about chasing targets and set a record for 16 consecutive successful chases.

Taking all the credit when the team is winning is not a quality of a great leader. A top skipper is someone who knows how to lift the morale of his teammates when their back is against the wall.
This particular incident clearly shows Dravid knew how to comfort his teammates after a huge loss, which earned him the respect of the dressing room.

After losing the WTC final, Kohli questioned the lack of intent by some of the players and hinted at a huge overhaul in the Test squad, which would have sowed seeds of doubts in teammates’ minds and made them insecure.
It would have been great had Kohli taken a leaf out of Dravid’s book and dealt with the situation just like him.

If you don’t walk out of the cinema hall feeling moved by the performance of an actor you’ve just spent 2 hours watching on the screen, only to come back home, play their songs and channel them in your dance moves, are you even a fan?
Mimicking your favourite actor, which often comes rather naturally to most of us, went hilariously wrong for a man who even though looked like the mighty South superstar Rajinikanth.
© V Creations
A video that has gone viral captured a Rajinikanth lookalike trying to entertain the audience by performing a stunt, however, the man in the video ended up making a fool out of himself after he fell hilariously as the stunt went wrong and he landed on his butt.
Dressed in a crisp black suit, a white tucked-in shirt and a white beard that did actually make you wonder for a second if this was the real Thalaiva, the man was winning the hearts of the audience with his confidence and candour up until he decided to perform a little stunt with a plastic chair kept behind him.

As soon as the man kicked the chair, hoping to make it swing like Rajinikanth does in his several movies, his foot instead got stuck in the plastic back of the chair, making him fall right down as the people broke into laughter.
Guess they figured out, he wasn’t the real Rajnikanth after all...
The video that was posted on Instagram has garnered hundreds of likes and comments since then, as people call him a ‘sasta copy’ of actor Rajnikanth and share their hilarious reactions to the video.
One user wrote, “Yeh to rajnigandha nikle”, while another one wrote, “Kya rajnikant banega re tu.”
One fan also wrote, “Not everyone can become Rajinikanth ;-)”, and we couldn’t agree enough with him.
Here are some of the funniest reactions from people online who can’t get enough of the video:

Indian TV actors Sambhavna Seth and her husband Avinash Dwivedi have landed themselves in hot water after the couple shared a YouTube video, making fun of their househelp.
© Instagram/Sambhavna Seth
The actor duo usually keeps making satirical videos to entertain their viewers on social media, however, it appeared that they'd finally outdone themselves this time around.
In the video, the actors can be seen unable to control their laughter at a phrase spoken by their househelp in her native language.
What certainly made things worse and probably ended up upsetting viewers was that despite the house help's attempts to explain what the phrase actually meant, the duo carried on with extending the bad joke on the basis of how the phrase sounded.
Both Seth and Dwivedi faced the brunt of social media and the couple has now issued a public apology through Sambhavna's Instagram handle. While acknowledging that they were laughing at their house help's language which originates from Jharkhand, the duo said they were just trying to be 'humorous' and their intention wasn't to hurt anyone.
View this post on Instagram
"We had created a video on June 16 and we have now realised that the language used in that video belonged to the Adivasi community from Jharkhand. The community comprises more than 1 lakh people and many of their sentiments have been hurt. Our intention was just to make people laugh through our humorous video. It wasn't our intention to demean anyone or any community. We don't have a script, so, in the flow, we tend to speak inappropriate words and go wrong. We would want to apologize to all our subscribers, to the Adivasi and the non-Adivasi community because even we were hurt after reading the comments by the viewers," said the actor couple.
The original post that was uploaded through Sambhavna's official YouTube channel had been deleted after the backlash. However, an account by the name of 'The Adivasi Post' had taken to Instagram to reshare it while calling it 'racist, abusive and humiliating to the Adivasi community.'
View this post on InstagramPeople on the social media app then went on to tag the duo, demanding an apology from them.
"We didn't realize that we made a mistake unless the people commented on Instagram and tagged us. We have taken down that video for your respect because we would never want to hurt any community. Our only intention is to spread love. We assure you we will never hurt any community here or anywhere in the world. With folded hands, we apologize to everyone. If at all again, we make a mistake, please let us know because it's important to know our mistakes," said Sambhavna from her Instagram account.

It seems like Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and controversies have a special bond. Earlier, he was making headlines for summoning KRK for defaming him and now, Chandigarh police has summoned actor Salman Khan, his sister Alvira and six others in a cheating case.
According to reports, the complaint has been lodged by a local businessman who claims that Salman Khan and seven others have cheated him.
All of them including Salman Khan and sister Alvira are now called for an enquiry on July 13 to verify facts of the complaint including the Being Human Foundation CEO and officials of Style Quotient (licensee of Being Human Jewellery), police said on Thursday.

Arun Gupta, a businessman, has filed a complaint that he had opened a store under the brand ‘Being Human Jewellery’ and spent around Rs 2-3 crores in 2018 for the same. He said that he was assured that they would provide all kinds of backup and also promote the brand.
However, according to his complaint, neither the brand was promoted nor the goods were delivered to his store. He also said that it was assured to him that the actor will promote the brand but nothing happened.
He also expressed how he repeatedly contacted the company officials. However, they refused to keep their promise.

He said that offices that used to collect stock have also been shut since Feb 2020.
Gupta further said in his complaint that he was assured that Salman Khan will come himself for the inauguration of the showroom. But his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma came, he said. Gupta demanded the registration of an FIR in this case.

BCCI President, Sourav Ganguly has been in enough controversies in his time to know when to steer clear of any trouble coming his way.
Amid the ongoing argument about the national selectors’ unwillingness to send a replacement for Shubman Gill, Dada has managed to keep himself completely out of harm’s way.

Sourav Ganguly’s Thoughts On Selections’ Decision:“That’s the selectors’ call,” he said on his 49th birthday when he was in the middle of a media interaction and was asked regarding the subject matter.
The problems began when it was discovered that Gill was suffering from a severe injury and will be ruled out of the five-match Test series between India and England, which is scheduled to take place from August 4th.

Understanding the need to have another opener in the squad (albeit, top-tier batsmen like Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul are already on stand-by), the team management wrote to the Indian cricket board, presenting their demand to have Prithvi Shaw and Devdutt Paddikal leave the B-String of the Indian cricket team in Sri Lanka and fly to England to join the A-String.
However, the chairman Chetan Sharma and his committee of selectors decided to act against the wishes of the team management in England, which forced the Kohli-led side to have Agarwal take the opening spot alongside Rohit Sharma.

“They have left it to the selectors to name a replacement, be it Prithvi Shaw or Devdutt Padikkal or whoever,” an official privy to the developments was quoted as saying in Cricbuzz. “The Sri Lanka series will end on July 26, both can be flown in. But I think, team management wants them to join before entering the bio-bubble in Durham.”
At the moment, the Indian cricketers in England are on a short break and are completely free to roam around the country at will, while adhering to the COVID-19 protocol established by the British government.

They are expected to get back in camp on July 14th when everyone is expected to reassemble in London before proceeding to Durham for a two-week training session followed by the red-ball series.
