It seems like Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and controversies have a special bond. Earlier, he was making headlines for summoning KRK for defaming him and now, Chandigarh police has summoned actor Salman Khan, his sister Alvira and six others in a cheating case.

According to reports, the complaint has been lodged by a local businessman who claims that Salman Khan and seven others have cheated him.

All of them including Salman Khan and sister Alvira are now called for an enquiry on July 13 to verify facts of the complaint including the Being Human Foundation CEO and officials of Style Quotient (licensee of Being Human Jewellery), police said on Thursday.

Arun Gupta, a businessman, has filed a complaint that he had opened a store under the brand ‘Being Human Jewellery’ and spent around Rs 2-3 crores in 2018 for the same. He said that he was assured that they would provide all kinds of backup and also promote the brand.

However, according to his complaint, neither the brand was promoted nor the goods were delivered to his store. He also said that it was assured to him that the actor will promote the brand but nothing happened. 

He also expressed how he repeatedly contacted the company officials. However, they refused to keep their promise.

He said that offices that used to collect stock have also been shut since Feb 2020.

Gupta further said in his complaint that he was assured that Salman Khan will come himself for the inauguration of the showroom. But his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma came, he said. Gupta demanded the registration of an FIR in this case.
