So it’s 2021, the pandemic life has crippled our professional and personal space and while we don’t know what variant will screw our lives next, we have to make do with this ‘normal’ and find ways around it.

Like most other things around you, I am assuming your love life might have taken a little hit (for those of you who are still thriving in love, please tell us how!). I understand that there are so many ways to keep in touch and make your girl feel the love in your heart, let's just face the sad truth that the simplicity of expressing care and love has taken over the modernisation of expressing emotions.
Everything is digital, including your memories on social media or the love note you sent them on email. Believe me, when our parents say ‘humare zamane mein aise nahi hota tha’, listen to them and take a cue, because sometimes, romance lies in things which are old-fashioned. Here are 5 dating tips for anyone looking for some motivation to spice up things:
    1. Make The Mood For Good FoodThe way to a man’s heart, a woman’s heart, a bird’s heart or even your cute little pet’s heart is FOOD! It is literally that one element which is the base of how we perform mood-wise and good food has a way of making us happy. Now you obviously have been sending her desserts or pizza via a food delivery app, but there is something about wearing the chef’s hat for her. Call her mom/sister/best friend, ask the recipe of her favourite comfort food, and surprise her. If everything else fails, whip up some delicious coffee or her style of ‘adrak’ chai and let her sip in your love. Please note that when movies show it's cute that guys can't cook and burn toast, the modern woman assumes her man can do the basics for himself and her as well.

    2. The Magic Of Handwritten NotesOkay before you go ‘duh!’ or tell me ‘chal na, time kaha hai’, hear me out. Ask your parents a favourite memory from the time they dated or courted each other, chances are they will bring up those cute Archies cards which they religiously exchanged. Okay, you tell me, if you found a cute little note written in your girl’s handwriting, lying casually on the bedside or near the mirror, wouldn't that surprise you and make you smile? I am not saying go and become Shakespeare for her, but between those meme exchanges, please write some cute notes and let those simple words play their love tune.

    3. A Date Night With No PhonesWhen was the last time you were just holding her hand and walking on the terrace? Don’t remember? When was the last time you held your phone and didn’t leave it down like your life depends on it? You’re doing it right now, aren’t you? Okay, just plan a date night at home where the phones take a backseat and you guys have a real conversation which is not surrounded by what you spotted on Instagram and recording your private moment on a Snapchat story. There is real power in talking to each other and not merely speaking with each other. Play a board game, ask questions, or eat your meal in silence. Just let the focus be on her, not the phone please.

    4. Request A Song On The RadioWell this tip is for the die-hard romantics and I am not saying you must do this, but if you will, she is going to be super surprised, that is something I can promise you. The radio channels continue to have shows where they take messages and requests. Select the time, request a song if you can, suggest to your girl that let’s just play the radio, allow her to be surprised, and boom! Allow her to hear her own name and your name with your song request playing for her. Puddles of cuddles will follow.

    5. Finish A Pending Chore For HerHas she been procrastinating on finishing painting that wall? Some pictures of you two lying around which have to be framed? Her work desk needs some organisation? Well, please take a cue from your environment and do the needful for her. Caring is old-fashioned for so many people but trust me, showing your care never goes out of fashion.

Remember, the effort counts. Show her you love her and allow her to reciprocate her love for you.

Superstar Samantha Akkineni needs no introduction. She is one of the most successful actresses down South and enjoys a huge fan base across the globe. While most people love this talented power house and her work, some people have recently joined her fan club after watching her in The Family Man 2. If you’re looking to watch some of her work, here’s a good start to catching some of her best performances:

    1. Ye Mava ChesavThis is a beautiful yet complex tale of a mechanical engineer who falls in love with a woman named Jessie, who is older to him in age. The movie stars her real life husband Naga Chaitanya opposite her and is one of her best performances.

    2. Oh! BabyYou’d be surprised to see our Raji play a comedy role in this Korean remake of Miss Granny which talks about second chances in life and how grabbing it is extremely important for one’s own heart and soul.

    3. Thanga MaganStarring Dhanush and Samantha as the lead pair, the movie was not a commercial success but is still remembered for her performance as Yamuna. The movie has a simple plot of a young man, who, after breaking up with his lover ends up marrying Yamuna. The rest of the plot follows the life struggles of the couple.

    4. EegaThis one has a unique storyline where the lover is killed and he is back reincarnated as a fly! He then joins hands with his lover (played by Samantha) and manages to avenge his death ultimately.

    5. A AaThis rom-com has some great scenes and the show is stolen by Samantha who plays the role of a daughter of a very strict man. She finds love in a chef when she is visiting her aunt in her village. It’s a light-hearted drama which you should watch if you wish her to light up your screen.

    6. MajiliAnother strong performance where she is seen in the role of a woman named Sravani who is in love with a man named Poorna. He is dumped by his wife and slips into depression after harboring dreams of joining the Indian Cricket team. The character of Sravani is emotionally complex and beautifully panned out.

Things had escalated to the use of emojis in your chat. Dropping subtle hints about your interest in each other was also now a daily practice, as was texting with each other into the wee hours of the night. Finally, after weeks of exchanging flirtatious texts and a million gifs later, a date was set, time decided and the hurdle of scoring a first date - crossed.
But here is where the tricky business starts.
Up until now, you were shooting your shot from behind a screen, with enough time and contingency one-liners in place to avoid any situation that would arise. However, when you’re meeting someone in person, things aren’t always as rosy as Bollywood movies and sitcoms make us seem. And by ‘always’ I mean, ‘never’.
    © Dharma Productions
There will be no violins in the background, they will probably not laugh at all of your jokes and there will be a moment or 10 of awkward silences. Which is why you need a second date, to be less awkward and more prepared for whatever there is to come.

And most importantly, to make your prospective bae see what all you can be, apart from a big puddle of sweat.
Except, simply your interest in the other person isn’t enough. What you also need is for them to be equally interested in you and to make that happen, we have a few tips that could come in handy!
Here are 5 ways to secure that second date:
    1) Listen! © iStock
One of the biggest turn-offs for women during the first date and every other after that, is when they are interrupted while speaking.

No one likes to be cut in the middle of a story or a line, which is why it is always good advice to wait your turn until your date is finished speaking and then say what you must.
    2) But Also, Speak © iStock
As important as it is to let your date know that you’re here to hear them out, it is also important for you to talk about yourself and let loose a bit.

Being a closed book on the first date is no help, especially since it can convey disinterest to your partner and even send the wrong signals.
    3) Don’t Try Too Hard © iStock
And by that, I don’t mean to show utter disregard and callousness during the date, by not even showing up on time or in decent attire, but by focusing on being yourself and not a pretentious version of yourself.

Women neither like a suck-up nor one who is too cool for school.
Don’t get burdened by the pressure of saying the right things, behaving a certain way or dressing up in a particular manner. First dates are meant to be light and breezy and the best way to do that is by taking it easy!
    4) Save The Drama For Later © iStock
I have always believed that there is a right time and the right place for sharing some of your deepest, darkest and personal stories with people, and a first date is definitely not it.

Save your heavy topics, your revelations and personal anecdotes for a better time and steer clear of anything intense on the first day and focus on just having some fun.
    5) Show Interest © iStock
Yes, first dates can be and usually are a little awkward, but don’t let that take away from your stride.

Express your interest in a flirtatious comment or two and make sure to drop a few harmless compliments. Hearing good things about yourself works like a charm after all!
    6) Take The Plunge © iStock
This is where you gather your courage and instead of simply saying how good a time you had, ask your date if she’d like to see you again.

Don’t be afraid of being turned down, because good things only come to those who ask for it. Suggest a date, a place and chances are watching you take charge is all she’ll need to say a yes!

    Let's admit it.

While we were all (the entire world) together in the lockdowns during the first wave of Covid-19, it was definitely strange for us Indians to see the rest of the world open up while we still followed lockdown procedures under the second wave.

The main reason why other countries have been able to get back to normalcy faster is because of an effective vaccination policy, with many nations like the US vaccinating a majority of its population.

How have they done it? Simple. They had a lot of vaccines already, which was certainly not the case for India which has a considerably enormous population of 136 crores.
    © iStock
Well, good news for everyone, as it looks like the Moderna vaccine has become the latest vaccine to finally get the nod for use in India.

Indian multinational pharmaceutical company, Cipla has been given an all-clear to import Moderna's Covid vaccine for restricted emergency use in the country.
    © Reuters
According to Niti Ayog member (Health) V.K. Paul the new drug permission will pave way for the vaccine to be imported in India, making it the fourth vaccine for the country.

On June 28 (Monday), the Mumbai-headquartered Pharma giant had filed an application to seek permission to import the Moderna vaccine.
It had referred to DCGI notices dated April 15 and June 1 stating that if a vaccine is approved by the USFDA for EUA, it can be granted marketing authorization without bridging trial and assessment of safety data.
This was in the case of the first 100 beneficiaries of vaccines that had to be submitted before rolling out an immunization program.
#Moderna, the first international vaccine in India

No bridging trials in India for #MODERNA vaccine

Storage at -25 to -15, for 7 months

Normal storage after vial is opened is 30 days

According to Moderna, the US government has also agreed to donate to a certain number of doses of the Moderna vaccine through COVAX to India.

It has sought approval from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) for these vaccines.
Pfizer and Moderna have both demanded an indemnity bond that will exempt them from legal claims in case of any adverse effects from the vaccines when administered in India.
Moderna, which is similar to Pfizer in terms of being an mRNA vaccine, is said to be 90 percent effective against Covid.

According to reports, after Moderna, Pfizer will be the next in line for use in India.

Ever wondered if you were given the chance to play a random game of ‘Kill, Marry or Hook-up’ with the characters you have grown up watching in Bollywood films, who would fit where? Okay well, not ‘Hook-up’ because wouldn’t that list be long and controversial?
But, on the off chance that we were actually allowed a seat next to the director and asked to pick our most favourite and most annoying characters in movies, to the extent we’d want to kiss some of them and others to be killed off, it would go something like this…
Saved the film: Shiva from Kabir Singh © T-Series
While the entire film was nothing but a cringe-fest filled with toxic masculinity and problematic stereotypes, the only saving grace was Shiva aka actor Soham Majumdar who played the role of a convincing and relatable best friend.

Considering he was ready to throw his sister under the bus just to save his best friend, he lived up to his title of 'best bud'. We wish he had a longer screen time though.
Should’ve been killed off: Dev from Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna © Dharma Productions
Before you come at me for trashing Shah Rukh Khan, let's take a moment to actually revisit the character of Dev from KANK and think back to just how annoying he was.

He wasn’t just selfish, vain, jealous, chauvinistic and straight-up rude but he was also bitter and played the victim card all too often. Maybe it would bode well for everyone had his character been sent into a coma after that accident.
Saved the film: Sexy Sam from Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna © Dharma Productions
The only character who made this Dharma production movie bearable was, in fact, Amitabh Bachchan’s cheeky and flirtatious character - Sexy Sam.

Adding in the right amount of flavour, spice and wisdom when it was needed, his occasional appearances on the screen lit us during this depressing drama!
Should’ve been killed off: Kumud from Devdas © Mega Bollywood
The mischievous and bratty sister-in-law from the movie Devdas whose sole purpose of being put into the film was to cast difference and light fires, her character made us instantly roll our eyes to the farthest corners.

Just imagine how less complicated the plot would have been if she weren’t there to manipulate Chotu maa…
Saved the film: Circuit from Munna Bhai M.B.B.S © Vinod Chopra Productions
Undoubtedly the best and funniest character from the movie, Arshad Warsi in the iconic role of Circuit doesn’t just set OG #friendshipgoals but also made us roll to our sides with his impeccable comic timing!

His character was like a big Jaadu ki Jhappi to all of us!
Should’ve been killed off: Susheela aunty from Main Prem Ki Deewani Hun © Rajshri Productions
A super annoying character from an over-dramatic film where all actors looked like they were high on steroids while shooting.

Susheela aka Himani Shivpuri who plays Kareena Kapoor’s highly materialistic and stereotypical mother was more irritating than Hrithik Roshan shouting “auntyyyy” in the entire movie. And trust me, that is saying a lot.
Saved the film : Vasooli Bhai from Golmaal © Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision
Often remembered as a sasta copy of Sanjay Dutt from Vaastav, Vasooli Bhai was a class character in the Golmaal franchise, adding just the kind of humour to the film that would stay with us even years after the movie was released.

He might have been terrible at his one main job which was to recover money, but what he was brilliant at was making the movie a hit!
Should’ve been killed off: Virus from 3 Idiots © Vinod Chopra Films
What wouldn’t we give to get the scene where Raju jumps from the balcony replaced with Viru Sahastrabuddhe aka Virus, just so we could stop seeing his biased, frowning face throughout the movie.

Safe to say, he was the only broken anda in the film.
Saved the film: Chhote Pandit from Bhool Bhulaiya © T-Series
Although the film was a hit and didn’t need saving, if till now there is one performance that trumps even that of Vidya Balan in the role of mighty and scary Manjulika, it was Rajpal Yadav playing the ever hilarious Chhote Pandit!

He may have been given less screen time, but he won our hearts alright!
Should’ve been killed off Monty from Karzzzz © T-Series
And by that, we OBVIOUSLY mean Himesh Reshammiya, who ironically was killed in this mortifying remake, but in our opinion should’ve also stayed dead instead of being reincarnated into an even more exasperating version of himself.

Saved the film: Ghungroo from Welcome © Base Industries Group
A comedy fest, this movie gave birth to a lot of iconic characters ranging from Majnu and Uday Bhai to Feroz Khan’s RDX, but the one character who made us love him more than the protagonists was, in fact, Paresh Rawal in the role of Ghungroo.

Whether it was his suggestive neck tilt or his situational comedy, Dr Ghungroo had us laughing out loud.
Should’ve been killed off: Ali from Dhoom © Yash Raj Films
A character that unanimously got under all of our nerves, we hated everything about him! From his hideous ganjis to his painfully unfunny jokes, Ali’s character was just as annoying to us as it was to Jay Dixit in the entire film!

Saved the film: Chatur from 3 Idiots © Vinod Chopra Films
No matter how provoking his character may be and even remind us of that one topper in our classes who made life miserable, Chatur aka The Silencer’s presence did add a lot to the movie.

Not to forget his famous Chamatkaar speech that left us gasping for breath amidst screeches of laughter. He was the biggest dhan of the film.

If former United States President Donald Trump wasn't spared for his controversial tweets by social media giant Twitter, what did Indian advocate and activist Prashant Bhushan think was going to happen eventually in his case?

    © Reuters
In the last two days, Bhushan had shared a series of tweets in which he claimed that young people had more chance of dying due to vaccines than due to Covid-19 and its complications.

"The healthy young have hardly any chance of serious effects or dying due to covid. They have a higher chance of dying due to vaccines. The covid recovered have much better natural immunity than the vaccine gives them. Vaccines may even compromise their acquired natural immunity," he had tweeted.

    — Prashant Bhushan (@pbhushan1) June 28, 2021
The Supreme Court advocate had earlier shared a news article in his tweets, about a case where a 45-year-old woman died 10 days after receiving a Covid-19 vaccine.
Bhushan said that it was "irresponsible to promote universal vaccination of experimental and untested vaccines especially to young and Covid recovered".
Soon after his tweet had a blistering response with many social media users slamming him for his irresponsible promoting of vaccine hesitancy in the country.
However, in what was something that was expected, Twitter censured his tweet by bracketing his posts as "misleading".
But that did not stop Bhushan from responding to such actions, with the advocate using the platform again to criticize the move.
"I have been attacked by many for tweeting about my views on Covid vaccines. The piece below summarises my Vaccine skepticism & the reasons for this. Apart from the vaccines being untested & having serious adverse effects, I am shocked by attempts to censor such contrarian views." he tweeted again.

Forget the Russians and Chinese, the next batch of cybersecurity experts will in all probability come from India.

    © iStock
A 20-year-old girl, Aditi Singh, who hails from Delhi, recently won Rs 22 Lakhs for finding a bug in Microsoft’s Azure cloud systems.

Not only that, she actually helped Microsoft, by suggesting what should be done so that similar bugs do not crop up in the future, and how to patch the one she found.
    © Aditi Singh
Aditi is a self-taught cybersecurity expert who started by hacking an old WiFi system of her neighbour.

Soon, she took up ethical hacking and has helped a number of companies ever since.
    © iStock
Currently, she is a Cyber Security Analyst for MapMyIndia, an Indian GPS and location-based services provider, and holds a certification from the EC-Council.

Ever since she took up ethical hacking, Aditi has helped over 40 companies which include the likes of including Facebook, TikTok, Microsoft, Mozilla, Paytm, Ethereum and HP. In fact, she actually won a bounty of $7,500  Rs 5.5 Lakhs, from Facebook, for finding a similar sort of a bug, just a few months ago.
    © Reuters
Aditi found an RCE bug in Microsoft’s Azure cloud system. In very rudimentary terms an RCE or remote code execution bug allows miscreants to remotely execute code from the target device.

This can lead to machines getting locked up by ransomware, or downloading illegal content onto your devices.
    © Reuters
This was the same sort of bug that she found for Facebook.

Apparently, Aditi had reported the bug to Microsoft about two and a half months ago, in April, but back then, they did not acknowledge having received the report.
It was only after their investigation into the matter did they acknowledge her discovery, and rewarded a bounty of $30,000 or roughly Rs 22 Lakhs.
Interestingly enough, Aditi wanted to pursue medicine and actually took up an interest in ethical hacking, while she was preparing for her medical entrance exam, NEET.
Although an education and a career in medical sciences and medicine would not materialise, she did end up getting into a career that’s just as rewarding.

Tapsee Pannu is super pumped to meet us in her upcoming movie, Haseen Dilruba.

Her fans will be able to see a new side of her on Netflix, as the movie is going to skip a theatrical release.
The movie also features Harshvardhan Rane and Vikrant Massey. The shooting of the movie was completed in 2020 and it's all set to release on the OTT platform on 2nd July.
The murder mystery is directed by Vinil Mathew and written by Kanika Dhillon.
    © Instagram/Tapsee Pannu
In one of the interviews, Tapsee also spoke about how beautifully the story is written and said that she got a chance to experiment with her role.

As on sets, since celebrities learn a thing or two about their co-stars, Tapsee and Vinil Mathew recently joked about Harshvardhan 'having a fetish for teeth'.
    © Instagram/Tapsee Pannu
The first day of the shoot required both Tapsee and Harshvardhan to do an intimate, kissing scene.
Vinil told in the interview, "I feel bad for Harsh, because he came in the middle of the schedule, and no time to warm up or meet anybody. The first day he lands up he has to do a kissing scene." Tapsee then added to this, "Harsh was very scared, he thought maybe I'll beat him up or something."
She further mentioned that if she knew about the fetish earlier, she would have made an appointment with the dentist before the shoot.
    © Netflix
Harshvardhan responded saying that he was 'nervous about the the 'proximity' with Tapsee Pannu. But the actress made the whole scene comfortable for him.

Harshvardhan explained the remark saying, "I'll tell you the context. They asked me yesterday what are the things I look out for. So I felt I'm very shallow, so I said I look at the teeth, the skin, and the eyes."
    © Netflix
He then said that this helps him understand how hygienic the person is whereas the skin helps understand the health of the person and eyes help define honesty. Harshvardhan also pointed out that the chemistry between the two was 'written and designed in a certain way' in Haseen Dilruba.

    © Netflix
Haseen Dilruba is a story of a small-town girl who marries a docile man but seeks romance with a river-rafter. The mystery unfolds after her husband is killed and the wife becomes the first suspect of the murder.

On the work front, Tapsee has a good lineup of movies this year including Rashmi Rocket, Dobaaraa, Shabaash Mithu and Looop Lapeta. Whereas Harshvarshan was last seen in Taish.

With the pandemic disrupting our lives, we have been forced to stay home and let monotony take over our normal lives.

But finally, as the number of COVID cases have started to deteriorate, people have begun setting their foot out once again to breathe the fresh air and get away from their homes for a bit.
Former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni also has stepped out of his home and has been enjoying the weather and scenic beauty of Himachal, as he along with his wife Sakshi and daughter Ziva, recently travelled to Shimla and have been sharing pictures from their vacation home.

The cottage that Dhoni has been staying in with his family has grabbed the attention of many people who have been looking to take a break in the peaceful laps of nature.
This is a significant factor that you can just recognize a cottage house by the roof style.
They have thatched roofs, which certainly add a rustic charm to the house. This too has that old 'English Cottage' vibe. The colour scheme is vibrant and a lot of woodwork has been used to give it the authentic hills vibe.
The interiors are breathtakingly beautiful and the countryside setting is perfect for a weekend break. As it’s surrounded with mountains and greenery, it’s a treat to the eyes and mind.

The cottage has lattice-style Sash windows and you can see Ziva enjoying the scenic view from the windows. It’s surely aesthetically pleasing.

People who have been to Goa are well aware of the iconic club Tito’s and it has come as a shock that the popular party place has been sold.
Co-owner Ricardo D’Souza claimed harassment by local authorities as one of the reasons for the sale.
“With sadness and anger, we have sold our entire business in Goa. I personally have suffered the least as I was compensated adequately and even my future generations won’t have to work," D’Souza said in a post on social media.
He added, “Can I please ask our officials to employ them, as I do not ever plan any more business in Goa. By ‘officials’ I mean all the harassing lot, like police, PDA (Planning and Development Authority), CRZ (Coastal Regulation Zone), NGOs, panchayats, and sarpanches, block development officers (BDO), and deputy collectors," D’Souza said.
“I am very grateful to certain segments of the government like Dr. (Chief Minister Pramod) Sawant, the IAS officers, ex-staff, present staff, our neighbours, all my friends and family, and the common people of Goa who all contributed to this great Brand called TITO’S. End of an Era!" D’Souza concluded his note.

People are upset with the Goa government and are demanding the club be sold back. People are calling it heartbreaking, saying that Goa won’t be the same without Tito’s. They also added that it’s the end of an era.

Let’s be absolutely clear about one thing, right from the beginning. No one can deny that CID was one of the most popular and most watched detective shows we have ever had.

    © Sony Pictures Networks
Does that mean it was one of the best ones as well? Oh, hell no!

We have had some really great detectives on Indian TV over the years.
Of course, there are the classics like Feluda & Byomkesh Bakshi. But there were several other detectives from some really good shows, that people actually enjoyed watching. There was Karamchand, CBI Inspector KC from Saboot, Jasoos Vijay, and Raja from Raja Aur Rancho.
    © Sony Pictures Networks
And it is not as if CID was always this bad. In fact, there was a time when CID was a genuinely good show that managed to make viewers stay glued to their seats.

They genuinely had some good writers who created some really engaging and hooking storylines.
By the time the show wrapped up, it had devolved into a laughing stock. Not just that, it very much killed the Indian Television Detective. Here are 5 ways that it managed to do that:
    1. Not Keeping Up With The Times © Sony Pictures Networks
CID just did not keep up with the times. We have had shows and movies that really kept the audience guessing. However, very rarely had that moment especially after their first 10 years.

In all this time, the average viewer of CID was exposed to a lot of pop culture and movies from other countries, so they of course needed to adapt their material. And how exactly did they do that?
    2. Taking Audiences For Granted © Sony Pictures Networks
Well, this was how. Seriously, who even suggested having something like this in the show? Also, did they really think that people did not know about Heath Ledger’s Joker from The Dark Knight, at all?

This clearly shows that the producers and the brains behind the show took their audiences for granted. And this is how Indian TV audiences would start thinking about television shows in general.
    3. Sticking To A Formula © Sony Pictures Networks
Consistency is a great thing, but sticking to a set formula religiously, and refusing to experiment is downright suicidal. Sure, there were a few tropes that became signature moves for the actors. Daya kicking in the door, ACP Pradyuman making that face - all these were classic CID tropes.

However, the stories too started following tropes or patterns and became very predictable. After a point, you could predict with pretty great accuracy who the murderer was. And it always was a murder case, which would end at the gallows. That’s not how real-life works, at all. Also, not to mention, the stories were ridiculous at times.
    4.  Science...What’s That? © Sony Pictures Networks
There was a point in time, where the science behind the show was actually fun to watch. It was informative, without being too preachy, and it was interesting. Later, however, anything and everything went on, in the name of science.

Seriously, what scientist or doctor worth his degree would ever test for an unknown subject, by licking it? It was again stuff like these that chipped away at the credibility of detective shows on TV. No wonder people started equating shows like this to shows like Sasural Simar Ka.
    5.  Living Long Enough To See Itself Become The Villain © Sony Pictures Networks
CID was on air for 21 years, from 1998 to 2018. Sure, it had some great episodes and set many records, but by the end of its run, its longevity is what led to its loss of credibility. Seriously, when you’re a TV show going on for that long, you’re bound to start cutting corners, and focus on just getting the job done, one way or the other. Quality surely goes for a toss.

The bottom line…As much as we love to hate on CID, we have to agree that it developed into the archetypal Indian detective TV show and a bad one at that. It surely sullied the genre and the legacy of shows like Karamchand, Byomkesh Bakshi, & Tehkikat.
