We never thought we would be spending another summer being cooped up in our homes, especially after the COVID cases were finally declining in the beginning of the year. But, here we are! Lockdown has been imposed in most states and looks like we would be homebound this summer as well.
It is pretty normal to take your hair health for granted during this time but let us warn you, that is the biggest mistake you could make right now. Summer is already here and the heat and humidity will just add to your hair woes.Β

While you make sure you maintain personal hygiene by washing your hands regularly and carrying sanitisers whenever you step out, you should spare some time to practice hair hygiene as well. Even if you are not going anywhere for the foreseeable future, here’s how you can keep your hair looking and smelling fresh all day at home.Β

    Wash your hair regularly

Do not delay washing your hair just because, β€œno one’s looking.” Greasy hair can lead to dandruff, itching and even malassezia (yeast fungus) and make your mane look dirty and oily. Wash at least thrice a week.

    Trim your hair

With salons shut, growing out hair and beard has become a quarantine trend. Lockdown scruff was actually a thing but it can hamper your hair health and cause split ends. Even if you keep long locks, it’s recommended to get a trim every 12 weeks for healthy hair.Β

    Brush it through

Hair can accumulate dirt and tangles which need to be brushed gently everyday to keep it clean and fresh. Comb your hair to get rid of tangles and make it look neat and polished all the time.Β Β

    Exfoliate your scalp

Scalp hygiene is one of the most important steps of hair care that you might be ignoring. Your scalp naturally produces sebum and sometimes, shampooing isn’t enough to do away with the excess oil. Once a week, exfoliate with a hair scrub or homemade scrub.Β

    Don’t fiddle with your hair

Touching your hair with unclean hands is normal and natural. While solving a puzzle, texting your crush or working on a project, your fingers automatically wander in your tresses. However, it can unnecessarily add to the greasy locks and lead to hair problems. Keep your hands off your hair at all times.Β

Hair hygiene is just as important as personal hygiene this lockdown and these tips would help keep your mane looking fresh all day.Β Β

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)Β revealed the details of the annual salaries for the Indian women’s cricket team on Wednesday, announcing how much the best of the best make in a year when it comes to the Women in Blue.
According to the salary distribution structure established by the Indian cricket board, the players are divided into three levels:
NEWS: BCCI announces Annual Player Contracts for #TeamIndia (Senior Women) for the period from October 2020 to September 2021.

    Details https://t.co/jJKSarT8xn pic.twitter.com/suSJUkm2zw
    β€” BCCI Women (@BCCIWomen) May 19, 2021
    Category A: Rs. 50 Lakh
This category includes the top three performers for the roster: T20 International (T20I) captain Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, and Poonam Yadav.
    Category B: Rs. 30 LakhΒ
This category includes Veterans Mithali Raj -- who captains the Test and ODI teams -- and Jhulan Goswami alongside Deepti Sharma, Punam Raut, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Shafali Verma, Radha Yadav, Shikha Pandey, Taniya Bhatia, and Jemimah Rodrigues.
    Category C: Rs. 10 Lakh
This category includes Mansi Joshi, Arundhati Reddy, Pooja Vastrakar, Harleen Deol, Priya Punia, and Richa Ghosh.
However, the revelation has led to the BCCI receiving a lot of bad press as the people of the country feel that the difference between the paying structures of male and female athletes is extremely wide.
    Only 50L ??? They deserve much better @BCCI @SGanguly99
    β€” Suganya Murugan (@Suganyao3) May 19, 2021
Should be paid more. Women’s team deserve it. They reached ODI finals, T20 finals and are continuously putting in more efforts. @BCCI should consider the change @BCCIWomen
    β€” Abhi Panchal (@iamabhi1909) May 19, 2021
They can pay for the hotel quarantine of Aus cricketers but can't pay the women enough. Lol. Make that make sense. Stop saying not enough revenue, boards poorer than ours pay their women cricketers better.
    β€” Prashanth (@ps_it_is) May 19, 2021
Not a respectful remuneration at all! Shameful, I would say. Request @KirenRijiju to look into this matter. Such a low salary amounts to gender bias, nothing else. Any logic in its favour would be utter nonsense.
    β€” Urbane Guru (@urbane_guru) May 19, 2021
A little over a month ago, the BCCI had announced a similar salary structure for the Indian men’s cricket teamΒ just as they do every single year. Here’s how the income for the players was divided in categories:
    Category A+: Rs. 7 Crore
    Grade A+ : @imVkohli, @ImRo45, @Jaspritbumrah93
    β€” BCCI (@BCCI) April 15, 2021
There exist three positions in the topmost level or the A+ Category and the selected candidates for them are all no-brainers. Skipper Virat Kohli is accompanied by his vice-captain Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah. The three megastars will earn a cheque of Rs. 7 cr. during the next year.
    Category A: Rs. 5 Crore
    Grade A: @ashwinravi99, @imjadeja, @cheteshwar1, @ajinkyarahane88, @SDhawan25, @klrahul11, @MdShami11, @ImIshant, @RishabhPant17, @hardikpandya7
    β€” BCCI (@BCCI) April 15, 2021
Belonging to the second-highest level, the players in the A Category go on to earn an annual package worth Rs. 5 cr. This category consists of the major lot of the national cricket team and includes Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Mohammed Shami, Rishabh Pant, and Hardik Pandya.
    Category B: Rs. 3 Crore
    Grade B: @Wriddhipops, @y_umesh, @BhuviOfficial, @imShard, @mayankcricket
    β€” BCCI (@BCCI) April 15, 2021
Wriddhiman Saha, Umesh Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shardul Thakur, and Mayank Agarwal make it into the third category and stand to make Rs. 3 crore each.Β
    Category c: Rs. 1 Crore
    Grade C: @imkuldeep18, @navdeepsaini96, @deepak_chahar9, @RealShubmanGill, @Hanumavihari, @akshar2026, @ShreyasIyer15, @Sundarwashi5, @yuzi_chahal, @mdsirajofficial

The bottom level of the pay scale includes Kuldeep Yadav, Navdeep Saini, Deepak Chahar, Shubman Gill, Hanuma Vihari, Axar Patel, Shreyas Iyer, Washington Sundar, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Mohammed Siraj.

After teasing usΒ for what seemed like a century,Β FriendsΒ finally is coming up with the reunion.Β Once the news was confirmed,Β we could barely keep calm,Β but something has just happened that is pushing us over the edge now. The trailer has dropped y'all. No, this is NOT a drill!
    via GIPHY
Yes, we're half-laughing half-crying half-gasping too, just like you. Before we get into which moments were the highlights, let's look at the trailer first. It's a proper 2-minute long trailer too, none of that 30 second teaser business here again, thank God.

Done? Well we know you're going to replay the bejesus out of it anyway, but let's do it together while appreciating it frame by frame. (Well, sorta.) Keep a tissue box ready cuz good luck keeping 'em waterworks at bay post this. Here it comes!
    1. The starting itself. THE TEST IS READY! Who remembers the legendary quiz that decided the ownership of their apartment? Okay the real question should be, who DOESN'T remember that?!
    Β© HBO Max
    Β© HBO Max
    2. Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc recreating the Barcalounger relief sigh, followed by a shot of the OG Joey and Chandler doing it. You're making us cry, you old boys.

    Β© HBO Max
    Β© HBO Max
    3. The entire cast was asked the biggest question of 'em all: "Were Ross and Rachel on a break?". While everyone said a resounding 'yes', starting off with Jen Aniston herself, Matt LeBlanc was quick to dismiss it with a nonchalant 'bullshit' while sipping his coffee. Classic Joey.

    Β© HBO Max
    Β© HBO Max
    4. Lisa Kudrow recreating the legendary 'My eyes, MY EYES!' moment from the iconicΒ The One Where Everyone Finds OutΒ episode, which btw, is also the highest rated episode of the series, something we wholeheartedly agree with. That lotion scene with Chandler and Phoebe still kills us.

    5. The cast reminisced about the last episode, with a shot of all of them bowing to the live audience post the final 'cut'. Jennifer Aniston is almost about to ugly cry and Matt LeBlanc's eyes are working extra hard while trying to keep the tears in. This, followed by a shot of the present day Matthew Perry saying "I'm about to cry now." If this doesn't get you, you're dead inside.

    6. The back to back entry of 2 of the most iconic characters: Richard Burke and, wait for it, JANICE! She's saying, yes, here it comes: OH. MY. GOD! (At this point we're saying it with her.)

    Β© HBO Max

    7. And finally, a shot of the six of them hugging. Although we can only see Jennifer's eyes twinkling with tears, we all know that there wasn't a dry eye anywhere at that moment, on and off screen.

    Where's that damn tissue box?
