‘Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui’ Trailer: Ayushmann’s Insane Transformation Is NOT The Twist Here

We’ve seen him essay the role of a small-town boy, a sperm donor, a man suffering from erectile dysfunction and even a proud homosexual.

One would think that they’ve seen all 50 shades of Ayushmann Khurrana in his last bunch of movies, but nope.

The actor knows how to surprise you and has yet again, not disappointed, as he comes with the trailer of his upcoming movie - Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui.

Starring ace actor Ayushmann Khurrana alongside Befikre actress Vaani Kapoor, this movie is as typical as an Ayushmann Khurrana movie can be. And by that we mean - promising, fun, entertaining and with an unconventional plot twist.

We are looking at Ayushmann playing the role of a rather convincing cross-functional athlete by the name of Manu who is based out of Chandigarh (Ayushmann’s very own city).

From talking about squats at the dinner table to thinking more about his body than his future, Manu comes across as this typical weight-lifter, obsessed with fitness, who lives a rather linear and black and white life.

That is until he meets Maanvi Brar aka Vaani Kapoor and inevitably falls in love with her.

From exciting dialogues to the near-perfect imitation of a couple from Chandigarh, the two actors brew some gripping chemistry on screen.

And just when, as a viewer, you’d think you know exactly where the plot is headed, you’d be left as stunned as Ayushmann’s character in the movie.

Turns out, Maanvi isn’t who Manu thought he was. Well, not exactly...considering Maanvi Brar is a transgender and Manu, well, is simply in denial. Or so we assume from what we saw!

The three-minute trailer takes us on a rollercoaster ride in the lives of Manu and Maanvi who struggle to find their way through this romantic drama, giving us way more than just Vaani Kapoor’s toned body or Ayushmann Khurrana’s shredded shoulders to look at. Although, that is pretty hard to miss!

The movie is said to have been shot during the time of the pandemic and with all precautions once the lockdown was lifted.

It is supposed to hit the theatres in December and it would be safe to say, we’re all already waiting with bated breath for this off-beat love story.
