5 Everyday Food Items That Are Killing Your Sex Drive


Elaborate scientific studies, doctors, fitness enthusiasts and even my own parents, all have (at one point or another) tried to tell me the importance of food in my life. 

And certainly, by that, they didn’t mean me hogging every piece of junk food I could spot on a discount on Zomato, but by adding healthy and nutritious food to my diet, because ultimately - you are what you eat.

A fact that only got through to me after I discovered one other thing that food does and that is affecting our sexual appetite.

Turns out, food also has a major contribution towards our *** drive and while there are plenty of foods known to ignite that fire, there are also a select few that have a reputation of killing your libido:

Foods to avoid if you want to improve your *** drive:1. Alcohol

A lot of people I know use alcohol as the tried and tested catalyst before romantic rendezvous simply because it is the kind of liquid courage they need before they go in for the kill. 

However, while it may be great to get your inhibitions down, it might also bring something else down and that is never worth it.

So, the next time you wonder why your soldier wasn’t at attention at the end of your date night, try cutting back a little on your alcohol!

2. Cheese

It’s fancy, it’s tasty and it is all kinds of good, but at the same time, while it may be able to give you a food orgasm, it might take away from the real one in bed. 

Made from cow’s milk, cheese contains synthetic hormones, which when mixed with your body’s hormones can create a disbalance of estrogen and testosterone making it difficult for your sexual appetite to sustain.

3. Chocolates

A rather disappointing addition to the list, especially since they’re so delicious and come across as great gifts for your partner, however, they are known to do more than just produce oxytocin and that is sub suppress testosterone levels in the body which are directly related to a person’s *** drive.

4. Fried Food

This means you’d have to take fries or momos out of your date night menu because there is nothing like the hydrogenated oils used in frying food that kills one’s libido. 

It brings a man’s testosterone levels down drastically if eaten regularly and can definitely affect your sexual performance and desires.

5. Mint

Another food that is known to deplete someone’s *** drive is mint. 

Ironically, mint is used to pull people closer since it gives you good breath, but in bed, it is what might give you the kind of ‘hard time’ you don’t want.
