In a tragic turn of events, comedian and mimicry artist Tirthankar Rao, who is popular as Junior Nana Patekar, attempted suicide by consuming poison on December 27, last year.
The artiste was facing financial problems and COVID-19 further escalated it. After Rao attempted suicide, his neighbours came to his rescue and rushed him to the hospital.
