Whoever said sequels to the original first movies were a bad idea, clearly did not live in the generation of the blockbuster superhero movies that are coming out now.

I mean, look at The Dark Knight in the Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy, or even the Avengers movies, where Endgame all but beat all the previous movies in competition.

You won't even have to go that far in the past with Tom Holland's Spider-Man: No Way Home being another such movie that just lived on to be better than its previous films.

Going by that trend, another such sequel that has been creating a buzz around fans is the upcoming Dr. Strange 2: Multiverse Of Madness film starring Benedict Cumberbatch.

The Multiverse film is making all the noise right now for rumours around it that suggest it will see the return of some amazing superhero characters like Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man, Fantastic Four's Mister Fantastic, and others.

Now, while these are some old faces that fans would love to see return, there is also a very exciting rumour of there being a new face in the Marvel franchise. 

Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise as Marvel's new Iron Man! 

Yep! Ever since the rumours started that Tom Cruise has been chosen to play Iron Man, it has been leaving fans divided on social media, which is all down to their love for Robert Downey Jr. as the OG Iron Man. 

According to reports, Tom's Iron Man or Variant Tony Stark will be very different from Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man, with Moth Culture suggesting that he would be an 'outcast' or 'control freak' of sorts.

We obviously have been taking the rumours with a pinch of salt as Marvel has not confirmed anything, so far. However, like what happened with Spider-Man: No Way Home with respect to the leaked photos of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as Spider-Men, there is another leaked photo that all but confirms Tom Cruise as the new Iron Man.

Wow! To us that looks like the beard style sported by the one and only Tony Stark.

The beard style is actually called an Anchor Beard, which after Robert Downey sporting it, is most popularly known as the Iron Man beard now. 

Now, with Tom Cruise suddenly looking to grow a beard that looks just like the Iron Man one, is too big a coincidence, don't you think? 

Other than that, the leaked picture also shows Cruise wearing a motion-capture suit, which again points to the fact that he may actually play a variant of Tony Stark or Iron Man. 

Honestly, to me, this looks exciting AF!
