Pushpa: The Rise continues its dominance at the box office. The Allu Arjun starrer has now become the 7th South Indian film to hit Rs 300 crore at worldwide box office.
Interestingly, the elite Rs 300 crore worldwide club earlier featured South Indian films only starring Rajinikanth and Prabhas (3 each).
Now, Allu Arjun has become only the third actor in history to hit a triple century at the global box office.
According to Box Office India, Pushpa: The Rise has collected Rs 335 crore gross out of which a huge Rs 112 crore gross were collected from Hindi markets.

The first South Indian film to hit a triple century was Rajinikanth starrer 2010 blockbuster Enthiran. The second film to join the club was Prabhas starrer 2015 grand success Baahubali: The Beginning.
A year later, another Rajinikanth starrer Kabali breached the box office milestone. Then Baahubali sequel, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion joined the list. Followed by another Rajinikanth starrer 2.0.

The sixth film in the list was Prabhas starrer Saaho which released in 2018.

Earlier, Pushpa had also become the 7th South Indian film to hit Rs 200 crore at the domestic box office. It is now the second Allu Arjun film in the list.
Released on December 17, 2022, Pushpa: The Rise turned out to be a massive money spinner and is the second highest grossing film in Hindi markets after Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi.
Overall, it is the highest grossing film of the year in India followed by Spider-Man: No Way Home and Sooryavanshi.

Also starring Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, Pushpa: The Rise will be followed by its sequel titled Pushpa 2: The Rule. The film is expected to go on floors by February and release in theatres on December 16, 2022.
