The actress was called for inquiry by the ED and post another round of pictures going viral where people spotted a hickey on her neck, it’s been a tough time for her in terms of losing out on projects, bad PR and she also had to pull back from the ‘Da-bangg’ tour in December. While she has complied and has always been available for the ED, the details of Sukesh’s shady connections with Bollywood started coming up.
It was also revealed later that the conman and his wife have reportedly gifted a BMW to Norah Fatehi, and even she was summoned for inquiry. Sukesh’s lawyer has now released a new statement, which is a letter written by the accused in jail. Sukesh has claimed that they were no monetary benefits in the relationship and all his gifts were a part of them being romantically involved. He also said the photos were ‘sad and disturbing’ and urged that she should not be projected in a bad way.
"As I have mentioned before, I and Jacqueline were in a relationship, seeing each other, and the relationship was not based on any kind of monetary benefits like the way it's projected, commented, and trolled in a bad light (sic). I have gifted her things and done things for her family, which are normal things one would do for his loved one in a relationship. It's personal. I don't understand why it's being made such a big deal. At the same time, I would like to again be certain that none of this was 'proceeds of so-called crime'. It's all from legitimate earnings and the same would be proved in the court of law very soon," Sukesh said.

He also wrote that did nothing ‘except loving without any expectations’. “The relationship has lots of love and respect for each other without any expectations. Kindly request everyone to stop projecting her in a bad way, as it's not easy on her, who has only loved without expecting anything. As I have mentioned before that she has no involvement in the ongoing money-laundering case," the letter states. The actress had confessed on receiving gifts from Sukesh which include a horse worth Rs 52 lakh, a Persian cat worth Rs 9 lakh and lots of jewellery and designer handbags.
