Ever since the lockdown of 2020, Sonu Sood emerged as a real-life hero and saviour as he helped a lot of people reach their homes and also financially. 

It’s been almost two years since then and his philanthropic ways continue to the day. Recently, a video of the actor went viral on social media where he could be seen saving the life of a 19-year-old boy who was caught in a major road accident. 

In the video, Sonu approaches the car that’s been badly smashed and then carries the boy who is unconscious in his arms to the hospital.

According to a report, the accident happened at a flyover in Moga, Punjab, which is Sonu Sood’s hometown. The actor was passing by when he noticed the accident and decided to put his cape on. 

The car was initially interlocked but Sonu somehow opened it up and took the boy to the hospital. Upon reaching the hospital, the doctor reportedly said that the accident could’ve proved fatal for the boy had it not been the actor’s timely help. 

Reacting to the video, a lot of people hailed Sonu as the “real-life hero”. 

One user wrote, “Aur sirf sonu sood he bacha sakta tha usse... #riphumanity Busy taking videos”. 

Another user wrote, “Yaar ye sach mee bahut achhe ensaan h”. One comment read, “I agree he is very good human. But what about others who r at scene? They r busy clicking video? It just feels strange. I agree he is a super star who is on his toes to help the one who is injured, but about the by-standers? Clicking video??? Seriously?”

One person commented, “Not all heroes wear cape”. 

On the other hand, there were a few who called it a “drama” saying, “Why other people were busy in shooting? Why other people were following? Why they didn't help? Sab drama hai”.  

Another said, “Its a movie scene or what people seem to be so calm and waiting for sonu to rescue him , wah beta publicity ka lia kya kya krta hai”

On the work front, Sonu Sood has recently replaced Rannvijay Singh as the host of MTV Roadies. Rannvijay was associated with Roadies for 18 years before parting ways for the upcoming season.

In a recent video posted on his Instagram account, Sonu shared the news with his fans and followers and said, “I am going to host the new season of Roadies. I am really excited because there is going to be a lot of fun, adventure on the show. This season will have the best roadies in the country. And I am thinking of having some samosas before leaving for South Africa just in case I may or may not get chaat-samosa there.”
