After Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, lovebirds Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar too will be getting hitched on February 21. However, Bollywood fans are still waiting for the much-awaited wedding of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The couple, who will be seen together for the first time on screen in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra, often make headlines for their wedding rumours, however, there's still no confirmation on the same. 

During an interview, in 2020, Ranbir had revealed that he would have been already married to Alia if the ongoing coronavirus pandemic hadn't hit our lives. Reacting to his revelation, the Highway actress recently accepted that their wedding plans got affected due to COVID-19. Interestingly, she also expressed that she is already married to Ranbir, in her head. 

Reacting to Ranbir's statement, Alia told NDTV, "He is right but, in my head, I am married to Ranbir, in fact, I am married to Ranbir in my head for a long time".

The actress, who will next be seen in Gangubai Kathiawadi, further said, "Everything happens for a reason. Whenever we do get married it will work out right and in a beautiful way".

Well, we totally agree with Alia.  

For the unversed, the couple made their relationship official after attending Sonam Kapoor's wedding reception together in 2018. Since then, they are in a happy space and are expected to take their relationship to the next level soon.  

Every other day, there are speculations about their wedding. As per the latest buzz, the couple might exchange marital vows in April this year. According to ET Times, the initial preparations have already begun for the big event. However, it is not yet confirmed as Ranbir and Alia are yet to react to the ongoing rumours. 

On the career front, both of them have several interesting projects in their kitty. Alia is waiting for the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi. The much-awaited movie is scheduled to hit the theatres on February 25. Her lineup also includes SS Rajamouli's RRR, Brahmastra, Darlings, and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.

Ranbir, on the other hand, will next be seen in Yash Raj Films-produced Shamshera. Also starring Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt, the movie will release on July 22. Besides Brahmastra and Shamshera, he has also signed Luv Ranjan's next with Shraddha Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal.
