Ever since his resurgence with Shah Rukh Khan’s Class Of ‘83 and Prakash Jha’s Aashram, Bobby Deol, the actor, seems like a different beast altogether. 

There was a time when the “star” Bobby Deol was on a downward spiral in his career until the “actor” Bobby Deol took over the reins and his career skyrocketed.

Joining hands with Shah Rukh Khan, the producer, for the second time, Bobby Deol turns into an antagonist called Dagar who is on the hunt for the star-crossed lovers played by Vikrant Massey and Sanya Malhotra in the upcoming thriller Love Hostel. 

The trailer of the film was released online and I will be honest, I am pleasantly surprised. Bobby Deol’s look, presence and dialogue delivery is top-notch. He is playing a menacing killing machine and I am loving it.

Besides the thrill element, the ultra-violent film is also laced with subtle humour that works, at least in the trailer.

Since this is Shah Rukh Khan’s second film with Bobby Deol in less than two years, and King Khan finally returned to Twitter to share Love Hostel’s trailer, one user stated, “SRK really likes Bobby Deol”.

The official synopsis of Love Hostel reads, “This ZEE5 original film traces the journey of a spirited young couple, being hunted by a ruthless mercenary. Witness these star-crossed lovers take on the entire world in search of their fairy-tale ending.”
