After the mega-success of Kabir Singh in 2019, Shahid Kapoor has several interesting projects in his kitty. The Bollywood star, who is waiting for the release of Jersey, is currently busy with Ali Abbas Zafar's upcoming thriller. 

The actor's market price increased after Kabir Singh and he charged Rs. 31 crores for Jersey. However, due to the film's delay amid the ongoing pandemic, he offered a pay cut to cover the losses. 

Now, the latest buzz suggests that Shahid has hiked his acting fees once again. Reportedly, the Udta Punjab star is charging 25% more than his Jersey fees for Ali Abbas Zafar's film.   

Revealing the same, a source informed Bollywood Hungama, "Shahid Kapoor has come on board this action-packed thriller directed by Ali Abbas Zafar for a massive sum of Rs. 38 crores. This is around 25% more than Jersey and more than twice of what he had fetched for the game changer, Kabir Singh. He is in-fact, adopting the route of letting his work talk for his worth". 

The source added, "Every success would mean acting fees going up, and every failure would mean the acting fees coming down. It's a dynamic pricing strategy that he has designed, and at this point of time, he is confident for both Jersey and Ali Abbas Zafar’s next to fetch big returns at the box office. If the film succeeds, his asking price for the one after that would increase even further".

Looks like the actor is enjoying all the success and fame he's getting post Kabir Singh. Shahid recently turned 41 and has reportedly gifted himself a new swanky Mercedes Maybach worth crores. 

Besides Jersey and Ali Abbas Zafar's untitled film, Shahid also has Bull in the pipeline. The movie is produced by Bhushan Kumar in which the Padmaavat actor will be seen in the role of a paratrooper. It is confirmed to hit the big screens on April 7, 2023. 

Also, he is set to make his digital debut with Raj & DK's upcoming web series for Amazon Prime Video. Co-starring Vijay Sethupathi and Raashi Khanna, the series is expected to stream later this year.
