'All Hearts For You' Fans Go Crazy As Aishwarya's Look From 'Ponniyin Selvan: I' Is Out


Bollywood diva Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been away from films for a while now. Last seen in Fanney Khan in 2018, the actress is now all set to entertain fans with her next, Ponniyin Selvan: I, helmed by Mani Ratnam. After a long wait, the actress has finally unveiled her official first look from the much-awaited project.ย

Taking to social media, Aishwarya shared Ponniyin Selvan: I first look poster with fans featuring herself. In the picture, the actress is dressed in a brown silk gown with gold jewellery and a side bun. In the caption, she wrote, "The Golden Era comes to the big screens on Sept 30th!"

As mentioned in the caption, Ponniyin Selvan: I is slated to hit the theatres later this year, on September 30. Reportedly, Aishwarya will be seen playing double roles in the Mani Ratnam film.ย As soon as the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actress shared her first look, fans went crazy and filled the comment section with heart and fire emojis.ย 

An excited fan commented, "That Revenge thirsty eyes of Nandhini (fire emojis) Ponniyin Selvan will be a perfect Re-entry for Ash".

Apart from Aishwarya, the first look posters of Jayam Ravi as Ponniyin Selvan, Karthi as Vandhiyathevan, Trisha Krishnan as Kundhavai, and Vikram as Aadithya Karikalan from the Tamil film franchise have also been revealed.ย 

Based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's 1955 Tamil novel of the same name, the historical drama revolves around the early days of Arulmozhivarman, The historical drama is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's 1955 Tamil novel of the same name, which tells the narrative of Arulmozhivarman, one of the most powerful kings in the south, who later became Rajaraja Chola I, the great Chola emperor.

Well, fans are excited for Aishwarya's much-hyped reunion with Mani Ratnam. For the unversed, Mani Ratnam's Iruvar was Aishwarya's first film. She later teamed up with the filmmaker for Guru (2007) and Raavan (2010). Both the films starred Aishwarya's husband and actor Abhishek Bachchan.ย
