Mrighdeep Singh Lamba's Fukrey, featuring Pulkit Samrat, Richa Chaddha, Ali Fazal, Varun Sharma, and Manjot Singh in central characters, was released in 2013. After a poor opening, the film witnessed a jump in collections with each passing day and turned out to be a sleeper hit. Later, in 2017, its sequel, Fukrey Returns, came out and became a huge hit by crossing the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office. Since then, moviegoers have been waiting for its third part, and here comes great news for them.

Well, Fukrey 3 has finally gone on floors after facing several delays amid the coronavirus pandemic. Yes, you read that right! Taking to Instagram, Varun Sharma aka Choocha shared the update with fans by posting the Fukrey 3 clapboard. In the caption, he wrote, "Shuru Hogayi!! जय माता दी"

As soon as the news came out, fans went crazy and expressed their excitement in the comments section. Most of them made it clear that they are really looking forward to the comeback of Choocha on the big screen after a gap of around 5 years. 

An Instagram user wrote, "Waiting for Choocha". Another user commented, "I really hope this series keeps up to the expectations. Better not turn out to be the ones like Dhamaal or Golmaal. Very fond of Fukrey".

Ye thi good news. Sadly, it's time for a disappointing update. Looks like Ali Fazal aka Zafar Bhai won't be a part of Fukrey 3. Reportedly, the actor has opted out of the much-awaited sequel due to his packed schedule. He is currently busy with Vishal Bhardwaj's Khufiya and had no option to let go of the third installment of Fukrey.

Revealing the same, a source informed Mid-Day, "Ali was busy till early February with the shoot of Kandahar, and promotions of Death on the Nile. Keeping his commitments in mind, Vishal sir lined up Khufiya for February".

The source added, "Meanwhile, Mrighdeep got the combination dates of Richa, Pankaj Tripathi, Varun Sharma, Pulkit Samrat, and Manjot Singh, and is eager to roll Fukrey 3. It’s an unfortunate turn of events, but Ali won’t be a part of it as he is busy with the thriller till March-end".

Interestingly, Ali will not be replaced with another actor and the makers will tweak the plot to justify his absence in the film.
