Post the theatres opening in a world that is swimming in the repercussions of a pandemic, two releases which hit the screens have taken the audience by surprise. On one hand is Akshay Kumar & Kriti Sanon’s Bachchhan Pandey which was supposed to have all the ingredients of a becoming a ‘mass’ hit, and on another hand was Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files which has stirred a big soup of controversy and has become a big hit.

The Kashmir Files continues to go strong on the big screen, with many states declaring it as tax-free and single screen theatres choosing to run this film over Akshay’s movie. While a lot of trolling is happening around the situation, a lot of fans cannot help but draw the irony that Akshay lost out to a film based on a political, national agenda, when he himself is known to take up movies of national interest. His fans are quite upset that the film clashed with Vivek’s film.

Bhai even producers knew that tkf will hugely affect bacchan Pandey, but there are many factors involved interest on investment, promotion was going on, it's hard to postpone a movie 3-4 days before the release, it's just bad luck of ,@akshaykumar sir this time,

The Holi weekend could also not save Bachchhan Pandey from going down at the box-office as theatres continue to run fully packed for an audience who is now choosing a subject of pivotal interest over mindless entertainment.
