Ashish Nehra is enjoying his stint as the head coach of the Gujarat Titans, as the new franchise is unbeaten so far in the Indian Premier League (IPL) after playing two games. 

Gujarat sits third on the points table with four points from two matches. 

When Nehra was named as the head coach of the team despite the presence of World Cup-winning coach Gary Kirsten, it was considered a gamble by the franchise but not many can question the decision now. 

In their debut game in the IPL, Gujarat Titans bested fellow debutants Lucknow Super Giants in a closely fought encounter and in their second match they outclassed Delhi Capitals.

An image from Gujarat's second IPL game featuring their head coach Ashish Nehra has been doing the rounds on social media in which he can be seen sitting on stairs discussing what seems to be team tactics with all-rounder Gurkeerat Singh. 

Nehra is not a fan of technology and he has himself admitted that he is not on social media and for a long time (at least till 2016) he used to use a normal keypad phone.

Nehra was asked about the rivalry between Bangladesh and Indian fans on social media and that is when he came up with a gem of a reply that sent the whole room in splits. 

"You are asking this question to the wrong person because I am somebody who is on social media. I am still using my old Nokia so I am not on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. I don’t read newspapers,” Nehra had said. 

Praising Nehra's humility and old-school thinking, fans took to Twitter to hail the former India fast-bowler.

The success Nehra has managed to achieve with Gujarat Titans proves that even without relying on technology and getting too much into analysis one can deliver the goods. 

Gujarat Titans look like the team to beat this season with all of their players stepping up and putting in handy performances in crunch situations. 

After wins over Lucknow and Delhi, Gujarat will next take on Punjab Kings on April 8.
