17 years ago, Brendan Fraser carried out one of cinema’s most iconic Mummy Hunts ever. ‘The Mummy’ (1999) was a classic. The movies that followed were trash. Fast forward to 2017, a brave effort has been made to bring back the mummy mania on the screen. ‘The Mummy’ (2017) is a not exactly a remake of the original ‘The Mummy’ (1932) or either ‘The Mummy’ (1999). It’s actually a spin-off. Tom Cruise leading the takedown, accidently awakens a vicious Mummy Goddess resting in the depths of an unforgiving desert. She then makes her way into the modern day world. The teaser also welcomes the audience into the ‘new world of monsters and gods’ hinting that the battles are going to be pretty tech-savvy and so will be the mummies.

The star cast also includes Titans like Russell Crowe, Jake Johnson, Annabelle Wallis, and Courtney B. Vance. Sofia Boutella leads the negative front as the villain. The movie is expected to drop during the summer of 2017 and it will be a pretty thrilling ride!
