If you followed ‘How I Met Your Mother’ for all its eight seasons, laughed every time Barney Stinson came up with a theory, and followed the amazing bittersweet journey of Ted Mosby, then you can prepare yourself for an antidote of the hollowness that the series left in the hearts of all its fans when it ended up.

The grapevine is ripe with the news that the makers are coming with a spin-off series titled “How I Met Your Father”. As the name suggests, the premise is going to be similar but the series will tell the tale from the mother’s side, but the star cast won’t be the same. Carter Bay and Craig Thomas will takeover as producers again. Excited much?

I just hope that this series live up to the expectations as often times than not, when anything exceptional is being reprised, there is a huge risk of screwing up things. Here’s hoping that this one doesn’t make us lactose intolerant and stays ‘Legen-DAIRY’, in the words of Barney Stinson.
