1. The term “bug” was first used by Grace Hopper on September 9, 1945, when a real bug, a moth, short-circuited an early computer. This is where the term “bug in the system” originated.

2. The British pound is the world's oldest currency still in use - it is 1,200 years old.

3. Roughly 68% of the universe is dark energy. Dark matter makes up about 27%. The rest adds up to less than 5%(including normal matter and black holes) of the universe.

4. There are more available moves in a game of chess than atoms in the observable universe. According to the Shannon Number, there is around 10^120 number of possible moves in chess, while only 10^80 number of atoms in the observable universe.
