One of the most prolific lyricists and screenwriters in Bollywood, Javed Akhtar can deservedly be called the bard of Bollywood. As lyricist, he has given the Hindi film industry some of its biggest hit songs, including the iconic ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh” and “Ek Do Teen”. As screenwriter, he paired with Salim and the famous duo penned some of the best films of Bollywood, like ‘Sholay’, ‘Yaadon Ki Baraat’, ‘Deewar’, among others. His beautiful poetry for ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ gave us a lump in the throat – no one could have summed it up better.
