This Journalist Was Hit On The Face With A Grenade Yet She Returned To Duty Covered In Bandages

The job of a journalist is tougher than one would imagine it to be. It’s not just about reporting news from the comfort of an air-conditioned office. Journalists, who work in the field, braving the weather, the conditions and everything just to fulfil the demands of their job, sometimes pay a heavy price for it. Hana Mahameed, a journalist with TV Mayadeen, was recently hit by a projectile that was fired when she was reporting the ongoing clash between the Israeli police and the East Jerusalem protestors.

She had a hole in her neck and face; however that did not stop her from showing up for work like the true professional that she is. Very soon, she was back on the field, spotted on TV, doing her job while being covered in bandages.Β

This is an example of a brave human being, not letting anything affect their duty. We have immense respect for our army men who serve the nation, regardless of what the condition is. Field journalists are not fighting the war, but the fact they report news from the affected area, putting their own lives at risk, demands us to give them a lot of heartfelt respect.
