Aamir Khan has always done things differently. Be it his movies, or his opinions, or even his perspective when it comes to how things work in Bollywood. So when he stepped out wearing a super unusual pair of footwear to be worn with a pair of jeans and t-shirt on his birthday, we weren't really surprised.

Aamir chose a pair of good old Kolhapuris. Now that is a pair that's a staple in every Desi guy's wardrobe, but we doubt whether anyone's sense of aesthetics is evolved enough to pair them up with jeans and t-shirt.

Aamir's new look for his latest movie 'Thugs of Hindostan' is anyway being talked about everywhere - and rightfully so. The rustic badassery of that handlebar moustache coupled with that of the raw wickedness of those five piercings across his nose and ears is a vision in itself.

The way he is making it all work seamlessly is a style lesson worthy to be noted. The muted shades of blue are working flawlessly with the dark brown Kolhapuris. No wonder he is called Mr Perfectionist.

All we can say is that it has now been established that like a true blue imaginative Piscean, Aamir doesn't follow trends but creates his own. Kudos!
