Earlier this month, Karan Johar took to social media to make a very important announcement. And important it was, indeed. No, he didn’t officially come out of the closet. Nor did he announce his next film. He introduced the world to his twins. He figured people would have a lot of questions, so he wrote a heartwarming post about having wanted to be a father since a while and introduced the world to his twins – Yash and Roohi. It was not just a happy moment for his fans, it was also a milestone for single fathers fighting the system to start their own families in this country.

There was obviously the expected hatred (because, what’s social media without unnecessary outrage) but none of it mattered because it was a new beginning for KJo. Celebrities stepped to the fore to shower Karan and his new family with warm wishes and love!

He recently spoke to PTI about how fatherhood is changing his life, one day at a time and he even spoke about that magical moment when he saw his babies for the first time!

"When I saw them for the first time, I didn't realise there were tears rolling down. I couldn't believe they were two big pieces of me who are staring at me, who are innocent, vulnerable. It was the most surreal overwhelming emotion I have ever experienced," he said. There’s so much love in that statement, we can’t help but gleam in happiness for KJo and his new family!
