While we haven't even completely recovered from the 100-cr storm that was 'Simmba', which is still roaring as loud as possible at the box office, actor Ranveer Singh is back in action as an uber cool rapper who is here to show the world what 'asli hip hop' is, in the trailer announcement of 'Gully Boy'.

From playing the cruel and mad king, Alauddin Khilji in 'Padmaavat' to playing the corrupt-turned-nice cop in 'Simmba', Ranveer Singh is inarguably one of the finest and the most versatile actors in Bollywood. 

While both the movies continue to rule the box office, if the trailer announcement of 'Gully Boy' is anything to go by, then he might just make a hat-trick of giving back-to-back blockbusters.

The video begins with Ranveer, who goes from being an underdog rapper on the streets on Mumbai to a big shot in the world of rap and Hip Hop, taking us though his life, journey and people around him and struggles he overcomes to fulfill his dream. 

The movie also stars Alia Bhatt and Kalki Koechlin and it will be interesting to see how the equations change, in what looks like a love-triangle. In case, you didn't know, 'Gully Boy' is based on the lives of real people and in particular the rapper, Divine.

While Ranveer's fans love him for his versatility and insane levels of energy, his wife Deepika Padukone too is extremely proud of Ranveer. When Ranveer shared the 'Gully Boy' trailer announcement news, Deepika was one of the first few to comment and she wrote, "You are unstoppable," and "I love you & I am so proud of you."

Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the official trailer of 'Gully Boy' will drop on 9th January and the movie will release on February 14.
