Reportedly, the girl's father is a diamond businessman from Surat called Dewashi Manek. The couple's families mutually decided to go for a simple wedding and informed their respective relatives about the same and donated the money to the families who lost their loved ones in the terror attack.

Other than that, organisations like 'Bharat Ke Veer', and 'Milaap' and even Paytm have started fundraisers to urge people to donate money to the martyred jawans' families. More than 40 jawans were killed in the terror attack and the death toll is on a constant rise as soldiers are succumbing to their grave injuries.
