Xiaomi has been teasing the launch of the Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro for more than a month, and the brand has finally launched the phone in India today. It was first unveiled in China and since then, anticipation around its India launch had been on the rise.
With Samsung launching a host of new budget and midrange phones, the Redmi Note 7 has a lot of expectations to meet. It's predecessor Redmi Note 6 and Note 5 have been the best-selling phones in the country, thanks to a perfect balance of features. The phones have proved to be an apt offering for every kind of user, right from performance enthusiasts to photography nerds.

Keeping the same in mind, the Redmi Note 7 intends to be another deal buster. Unique offerings of the phone include a 48-megapixel rear sensor, a large 4000mAh battery, and fast Snapdragon 660 processor. It's the first phone under the new "Redmi by Xiaomi" branding.
On the front, the phone has a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display along with a water-drop style notch. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Under the hood, is a Snapdragon 660 processor, paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage in the base variant. The other options include 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 64GB configuration. The Snapdragon 660 chipset was seen in midrange phones like the Nokia 7 Plus last year is a tried and tested platform.

The Redmi Note 7 Pro has a 48-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 primary sensor along with a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. For selfies, the front has a 13-megapixel sensor.
Backing these internals is a 4000mAh battery that supports Qualcomm's Quick Charge 4.0 technology. It'll charge via a USB-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack has been included as well. For authentication, the fingerprint scanner is located on the back and face unlock option is also supported.

The base variant of the Redmi Note 7 with 3GB + 32GB configuration costs Rs 9,999. The second option with 4GB + 64GB memory costs Rs 11,999. For the Redmi Note 7 Pro, the 6GB + 128 GB variant costs Rs 16,999. The 4GB + 64GB variant costs Rs 13,999. It shall be available via Mi.com, Flipkart, and Amazon.in.
The Redmi Note 7 will be available from 6th March and Note 7 Pro will be available from 13th March.
