'Call of Duty' publisher Activision is teaming up with Tencent Timi Studio to bring its massively popular first-person shooter franchise 'Call of Duty' to Android and iOS. The game will simply be called 'Call of Duty: Mobile'.
'Call of Duty: Mobile' is a free-to-play multiplayer title which draws inspiration from some of the popular 'Call of Duty' titles like Modern Warfare and Black Ops. Here, watch the trailer -
Activision has also promised that the game will have competitive multiplayer modes from the original franchise including Search and Destroy and Free-For-All. Additionally, the game will also have series staple maps like Nuketown, Crash, and Hijacked. Also, much like the other 'Call of Duty' games, the 'Call of Duty: Mobile' players will also earn and unlock classic 'Call of Duty' characters, weapons, scorestreaks, and more. The trailer also teases some other multiplayer modes, maps, and character customization, so be sure to check it out.
Commenting on the release, Activision VP of mobile Chris Plummer said, “Together with the amazing team at Tencent, we're bringing together a collection of the most beloved maps, competitive modes, familiar characters, and signature weapons from across this storied franchise into one epic experience for the first time on mobile.”
