The twelfth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is currently in full flow, bringing some of the biggest names in cricket to represent eight cities in the country. Six games into the tournament, this season has already produced some of the blistering knocks, match-winning spells and electric fielding efforts.
But, while the players are busy enthralling fans, the prominent cricket commentators and experts are also adding to fervour this season. Amongst them, Kevin Pietersen seems to be making the most of his time in India while carrying out responsibilities of commentating and match analysis in the ongoing edition.
Away from cricket stadium, the former England batsman finally got to fulfil his wish of playing 'Gully Cricket' on the streets of India. The 38-year-old was recently travelling when he saw some kids playing cricket on the road. While he might have called time on his playing career, Pietersen couldn't stop himself from picking the bat and smashing the ball far and long.
Just stopped on the side of the road to play gulley cricket in Bangalore.
Always wanted to do it!

Pietersen shared a picture and brief video of himself with the cricket fans on Twitter where he was seen playing cricket with the kids in Bengaluru. "Just stopped on the side of the road to play gully cricket in Bangalore. Always wanted to do it! Today I did it!" he tweeted with a picture alongside the kids.March 28, 2019
Before taking up the commentary role, Pietersen had enthralled cricket fans with his batting while playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Delhi Daredevils (now, Delhi Capitals) and the now-defunct Rising Pune Supergiant. He was involved in the IPL as a player for eight years (from 2009 to 2016) before pulling out of the 2017 edition due to a packed schedule.
