Athlete 'Dives Like Superman' At The Finish Line To Dramatically Win A 400m Hurdle Race

University level athlete Infinite Tucker not only has the most heroic name in the global sports fraternity, but also has the superpowers to back it up.

Participating in the 400m hurdles final at the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Track and Field Championships in the United States of America, Tucker instantly became a social media hit when he channelled his inner Superman just inches away from the finish line.

Finding himself to be neck to neck with a fellow athlete while the finish line approached, dedicated to win the race, Tucker launched himself into the air, clearing the line in the most uncanny yet badass manner.

When Miller-Uibo “dove” (fell) to beat Felix a couple years back, I was on the radio for an hour or so explaining to people why diving is likely not a good finishing tactic.  Thankfully Infinite Tucker wasn't listening.  #bestnameever pic.twitter.com/JR0VhZyBq3

Once the race was over and people lauded Tucker's dramatic finish, the athlete let out the secret as to why he decided to jump over the finish line this way:

The athlete who saw Tucker take the leap while running besides him, Robert Grant, on the contrary, was not at all pleased with the way the race came to an end, yet managed to show his displeasure while not gathering too much attention:

"If I say what I thought on this camera, microphone right now, Coach (Pat) Henry would kick me off the team." he said after the race.

The jumping clip quickly became a social media meme source and Twitter of course had things to say:

He went full Superman! @aggietrk's Infinite Tucker goes ALL OUT for the gold. #SCtop10 pic.twitter.com/gEr05kdPd9

I wish I was as dedicated to anything as Infinite Tucker is to crossing the finish line first. pic.twitter.com/DgEoPvJwHZ

This is how you finish a race! Check out Infinite Tucker from Texas A&M winning the 400 hurdles at the 2019 SEC Championship this weekend. The video is pretty impressive if you look it up. Never give up or jog across the finish line in a race. ð pic.twitter.com/KzAEdq9o2M
