Winter is coming.

No, you fool, get over your Game of Thrones fixation. It isn't Winterfell that's going to be under attack in the real world. The approaching winter season in Delhi-NCR only means that people have to get ready for smog-laden chilly mornings, low-visibility due to crop burning and not so much due to fog, breathe PM 2.3-heavy air and survive coughing fits, itchy throat and watery eyes because Delhi is legit choking already, and it's not even Diwali yet!

Owing to the grim reality of air quality in the Delhi-NCR region, the Central Pollution Control Board has recommended private and government in the area to allow its people to work from home.

The board has also advised people to carpool while travelling to and from work, while schools have been asked to provide school buses so the use of private vehicles can be lessened.

The proposition has been presented to various government organisations today by the CPCB-led Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) taskforce. An advisory for the same will be sent out to Delhi, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Ghaziabad and Noida.

We really hope our boss (as well as the HR peeps) is reading this, and they will do their bit to save precious lives. Right, boss?
