Everytime you take the terms Joaquin Phoenix and 'Joker' in one sentence, Heath Ledger's name is omnipresent there. The movie is currently shattering records and is in the hearts of fans across the globe. Looks like, the Oscar already belongs to Joaquin. Even though the comparison to Heath's performance was obvious and only natural, it is safe to assume that Joaquin has managed to carve his own space out there.

While many feel that there is no match to Heath's legendary performance of playing Joker as a villain, fans feel Joaquin's portrayal is more about beautifully playing Joker as a character.

Made with a budget of around $70 million, this movie directed by The Hangover director Todd Philips has already crossed over $556 million across the globe and is still going strong. 

Heath and Joaquin were thick of friends in real life and for many people who couldn't spot in the movie, Joaquin also paid a tribute to Heath in this movie. 

These pictures are definitely pure gold because like they say, the memories stay alive in photographs even if the people in them pass away in life. Heath's legacy continues to be missed but is being carried on in the safe hands of Joaquin for now.
